The object of this paper is to examine the marketing of PUNKTmedis, a youth library. In order to do so we have looked at two different perspectives; how the library has marketed itself towards its target group, and how young people perceive what PUNKTmedis has to offer. The thesis? foundation is a case study. Since the question at hand concerns the library?s intentions with and execution of its marketing efforts, as well as the target group?s opinion of them, the empirical data is based partially on an interview with the head of marketing at PUNKTmedis, and partially on a target group questionnaire.

Växjö is a medium-sized town situated in the centre of the county Småland in Sweden with a good infrastructure and logistics and with a university that encourages cooperation with private and public companies. It is in this town that our case study of Småland Airport will take place. The aim of this study is to examine in which way the program of Library and Information Science at the Linnaeus University in Växjö offers knowledge that can be relevant for the staff at the airport in Växjö - Småland Airport. Using Wilsons model as our theoretical framework we examine how these two align with each other and by using a matrix that we ourselves elaborated in our analysis, we provide a clear picture of how the comparability two places comparability is represented. The result shows that there are compatible aspects to the Småland Aiports needs and what the program of Library and Information Science has to offer.

Vidare visar tidigare forskning p? att f?retag anv?nder Impression management strategier i sin redovisning f?r att gynna sina prestationer vilket minskar transparensen mot intressenter.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how libraries market themselves in social media and why they do it. I have studied a certain public library?s process of introducing social media into its marketing mix, the preparations for this process and the effects of these marketing methods.The theoretical framework for this thesis is based on relationship marketing, a theory which focuses on relationships, networks and interaction. My main method has been semi-structured interviews with a librarian at the relevant library, with the manager of the library and with the head of the municipality?s department of communication.The results of my studies show that marketing on social media is a positive and important thing for libraries.

Syftet med studien var att synligg?ra hur barn och unga framst?lls i relation till f?r?ldrar och familj i BBIC grundbok, genom att kritiskt granska materialet med hj?lp av WPR. Empirin bestod av handboken BBIC grundbok (Socialstyrelsen 2023), ett dokument med samlade riktlinjer f?r arbetss?ttet BBIC som v?gleder barnav?rdsutredningar inom socialtj?nsten i Sveriges samtliga kommuner. Studien som ?r en dokumentanalys pr?glades av en socialkonstruktionistisk f?rst?else och empirin bearbetades med teoretiska begrepp fr?n WPR tillsammans med teoretiska begrepp fr?n barndomsstudier, kritiska barndomsstudier och queerteori.

The purpose of this paper is to examine different attitudes regarding freedom of information and how libraries should fulfil their information-task represented by four organisations. The organisations are important in shaping the Swedish public libraries in different ways. The purpose is to examine in what ways their definition of information freedom may differ from one another and what that means in defining the public library. For the survey the qualitative textual analysis has been used for examining the documents and websites that are part of the debate about the public library and information freedom. We chose to interview representatives of four organisations that in different ways influence the shaping of the public library.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how Swedish highereducation librarians mediate discovery tools to its users. Thisstudy aims to investigate higher education librarians? generalattitudes towards discovery tools, their perception ofstudents? discovery tool usage, and how they mediatediscovery tools to students through reference interviews anduser training. The empirical ground of this study is a semistructuredsurvey that was answered by 115 instructinglibrarians. The study concludes that although librariansgenerally have a critical attitude towards discovery tools theyalso think that the discovery tools serve a useful purpose,especially as a starting point in the information searchprocess.

Denna uppsats handlar om skolbibliotekariens roll i skolans verksamhet och deras samarbete med lärarkåren. Syftet med studien var dels att ta reda på vilka kompetenser skolbibliotekarierna anser är centrala för arbetet och dels hur de såg på sitt eventuella samarbete med lärarna på skolan. Arbetet har avgränsats till bibliotekariernas perspektiv på rollen och relationen. Dessa frågor besvarades med hjälp av semistrukturerade, kvalitativa intervjuer med respondenter från tre gymnasieskolbibliotek. För att skapa en teoretisk grund gås också kompetensbegreppet som sådant igenom samt tidigare studier rörande samarbetet mellan de två yrkesgrupperna.

Jeanine Basingers bok The World War II Combat Film presenterar en annars väldigt oupmärksammad genre, den amerikanska Andra Världskrigs-stridsfilmen. Utifrån den mall som Basinger beskriver i boken har jag här diskuterat och analyserat hur Saving Private Ryan håller sig till mallen som skapats av tidigare stridsfilmer. Mallen består i korthet av en mängd element som används genomgående i genren; såsom gruppen, hjälten, målet och fienden. Dessa element förekommer från den första andra världskrigs-stridsfilmen Bataan från 1943 och har konsoliderats och utvecklats sedan dess. Slutsatsen blir att även om SPR blivit känd som en nydanande och orginell film så är håller den sig nästan slaviskt till mallen, det enda som möjligt kan skilja den lite från andra filmer i genren är det ursprungliga målet, det är inte vanligt att ha ett såpass politiskt inkorrekt mål som att rädda en enda man..

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to investigate children?s librarian?s perspectives on children?s literature and reading of fiction books. This is a comparative study of Swedish and Lithuanian librarians. The main questions to be answered are how children?s librararians at public libraries motivate their selection and purchase of fiction for children and what kind of considerations there are behind the purchases.

Den h?r uppsatsen fokuserar p? de sociala praktiker och processer som g?r kvinnor som pekas ut som "missbrukare" till de andra och har som ?vergripande syfte att bidra med kunskap om andrefiering. Mer specifikt unders?ks framst?llningar av kvinnor som pekas ut som "missbrukare" i LVM-domar och hur domarna bidrar till andrefiering av "missbrukare". Genom att unders?ka hur kvinnor som anses vara i behov av tv?ngsv?rd enligt LVM beskrivs och hur deras situationer representeras diskursivt blir det m?jligt att kritiskt unders?ka vilka sociala konsekvenser andrefieringen kan f?.

Detta examensarbete undersöker hur lärare i år 4 arbetar med skönlitteratur och boksamtal i sin undervisning. I studien har Chambers modell och forskning kring skönlitteraturens roll i undervisningen samt samarbetet mellan skola och folkbibliotek undersökts. Lärare och bibliotekarier har intervjuats och dessa intervjuer har legat till grund för studiens resultat.Studien visar att lärares egna engagemang, kunskap och intresse är avgörande för hur man på ett framgångsrikt sätt kan arbeta med skönlitteratur för att nå delar av målen i svenska. Det framkommer också att reflekterande läsning bidrar till att utveckla elevernas språk och ordförråd. I vår studie framkommer det av tidigare forskning och resultaten från intervjuerna att ett bättre samarbete mellan skola och folkbibliotek skulle vara önskvärt.

Examensarbetet ?Villa Sassi - ett gestaltningsförslag? redogör för tankar och processer under utformningen av det slutliga förslaget till trädgårdens utformning. Villa Sassi ligger i Lunds norra utpost, och förslaget tar hänsyn till platsen. Huset är ritat av arkitekt Heidi Sassi. De har själva byggt huset. Idag bor de i huset med sin familj. Arbetet inleddes med diskussioner med Heidi Sassi om hennes visioner för trädgården.
