This paper describes the integration of environmental assessment in Swedish municipality comprehensive planning through a chosen case study. The implementation of a new EGdirective in Swedish law, concerning Assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment, should lead to some changes in the way Swedish municipalities' deals with environmental issues in their comprehensive plans. This could later on lead to new preconditions for municipality comprehensive planning. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the planning organisation in the municipality adapts to new regulations for impact assessment of comprehensive plans required by the Planning and Building act. Secondly the purpose was to partly participate in the early stages of the planning process and thereby indicate and identify possible environmental impacts regarding the aspects of land and water. This was done as a case study in a well defined part of the process.

The decisions for investment are forward-looking and the base of a long-term strategy. The research within investment have focused on diverse formulas which are used in financial assessment, which also should be complemented with qualitative evaluation. Consequently, the focus should not only be on the execution of the formulas. Less time have been spent on research concerning what actually initiates the investment proposals and affects the decision-making. This will be highlighted in this essay.

Vi har gjort en undersökning på en särskola i södra Skåne, där vi spenderade några dagar med att intervjua fem lärare och observera i verksamheten. Vårt syfte med studien är att undersöka hur de på denna skola arbetar, samt se om undervisningen är speciell på något sätt. Vi vill även ta reda på om särskolans pedagogik skiljer sig gentemot grundskolans och se om det sker något samarbete mellan dessa skolformer. Våra frågeställningar som vi utgått ifrån är följande: Hur arbetar ett visst antal lärare på en särskola i södra Skåne? Vilka är enligt dem de bästa tillvägagångssätten för att stimulera eleverna? Vad är speciellt med pedagogiken i särskolan? Skiljer sig undervisningen på något sätt i jämförelse med grundskolans? Vad vi kommit fram till i vårt resultat är att denna särskola arbetar väldigt traditionellt men har ändå en utgångspunkt i elevernas speciella behov och förutsättningar, vilket gör att undervisningen ändå individualiseras efter varje individ.

Energieffektivisering är en trend som för närvarande genomsyrar hela samhällsdebatten. Politiska reformer för energieffektivisering som genomförs på såväl lokal som global nivå påverkar även hur aktörer inom näringslivet fattar olika beslut. En sektor där påverkan varit speciellt stor är bygg- och fastighetssektorn, som bedöms stå för närmare 40 procent av samhällets energiförbrukning. Påtryckningar från myndigheter, hyresgäster och andra intressenter samt ett stigande energipris uppmanar många fastighetsägare att se över sina fastigheters energiåtgång vid drift och förvaltning. Samtidigt medför den snabba teknikutvecklingen inom byggnadsautomation för värme, ventilation och kyla att nyproducerade fastigheter idag har mycket stor effektiviseringspotential.

Energiområdet och arbetet med ökad energieffektivisering har blivit ett alltmer aktuellt område i dagens samhälle. En minskad energianvändning är gynnsam för miljö och klimat och är även attraktiv ur ett ekonomiskt perspektiv.Industrisektorn har potential att effektivsera sin användning av energi men de åtgärder som finns att tillgå för att uppnå detta vidtas inte fullt ut. Detta beror på att det finns ett antal hinder som bromsar arbetet med energieffektivisering. Denna studie fokuserar på dessa hinder men även på de drivkrafter som kan användas för att motivera arbetet med energieffektivisering. Dessa hinder och drivkrafter diskuteras i studien ur ett organisationsteoretiskt perspektiv.I studien framträder ekonomi och inre samt yttre påverkan (exempelvis personligt intresse, krav och konkurrens) som de starkaste drivkrafterna för energieffektivisering.

Syfte: Syftet med studien a?r att identifiera organisationers virtuella strukturer och hur de anva?nds i organisationerna, fo?r att skapa en fo?rsta?else fo?r vilken betydelse digitala verktyg har fo?r organisationers interna kommunikation. Dessutom vill vi ocksa? o?ka fo?rsta?elsen fo?r hur implementeringen av dessa digitala verktyg fo?r intern kommunikation i organisationer pa?verkar fo?rutsa?ttningarna fo?r hur ledarskap kan bedrivas.Metod: Uppsatsen a?r en kvalitativ studie, da?r intervjuer med sex respondenter fra?n sex olika organisationer ligger som grund fo?r det empiriska materialet.Resultat: Vi fann att den virtuella strukturen i organisationer a?r av stor betydelse fo?r den interna kommunikationen. Den virtuella strukturen besta?r av flera olika komponenter, och de viktigaste a?r E-mail, intrana?t och Lync och organisationerna bedriver sto?rsta delen av sin kommunikation med hja?lp av den virtuella strukturen.

This Master thesis is about how to involve young people in a creative process. The aim is to see what methods can be applied to make them reach the kind of knowledge they need to be able to contribute to the creation of a memorial place. Issues such as if a place that displays death has a right to exist in an urban environment or why young people should be involved in the creative process are brought up and discussed in this thesis.The memorial place that the young people contribute to is unique, in some sense, due to it not commemorating any special event or person. The purpose of the memorial is rather to serve the public when larger catastrophes occur or to serve individuals who do not have a grave they can visit to commemorate their loved ones. The idea is to place the memorial in an urban setting in the city of Borås.In this thesis the process that the young people participate in is reported in a form similar to a diary where the reader can follow the developments of the young participants, from how they gain knowledge to how they develop their ideas.

I min studie presenterar och analyserar jag resultat av hur ledande och ansvariga företagsledare inom HRM (Human Resource Management) ser på företagets arbete med kompetensutveckling. Det handlar också om hur kompetensstrategier kan samverka med affärsstrategier i praktiken. Undersökningen baseras på tre intervjuer med respondenter från tre skilda branscher. De representerar konfektionsindustri, telecom- och mejeribranschen. Den pedagogiska infallsvinkeln representeras av mina egna erfarenheter och det styrdokument som min nuvarande arbetsgivare använder sig av.

Utgångspunkten för rapporten är två snarlika teorier om hur begrepp är strukturerade; The Dual Theory och teorin om psykologisk essentialism. Teorierna säger att en egenskap som är definierande (eller åtminstone väldigt central) för ett begrepp har högre kausal status, alternativt, är perceptuellt identifierbar i en mindre grad, än en egenskap som endast är karakäristiskt för begreppet. En allmänt vedertagen uppfattning är att det är lättare att lära sig kunskaper och färdigheter som stämmer överens med de tidigare erfarenheter man har, än sånt som strider mot de erfarenheter man har sedan tidigare.I enlighet med detta antas i denna rapport att om teorierna stämmer så bör det vara lättare att lära sig skilja positiva instanser från negativa instanser av ett nytt (artificiellt) begrepp när begreppets struktur är förenligt (kongruent) med The Dual Theory och teorin om psykologisk essentialism, jämfört med när begreppets struktur är oförenligt (inkongruent) med teorierna. Två experiment med syfte att testa denna hypotes utfördes. Det första experimentet gav inga signifikanta resultat, vilket förklaras med inverkan av en störande variabel.

Shock absorber units play a key role in establishing the driving dynamics and performance of automobiles. Öhlins Racing has manufactured high-tech automotive shock absorbers for over 30 years. Öhlins Racing?s advanced technology has contributed to over 200 world championships in automobile racing. Öhlin?s manufacturing process has long utilized automated fluid filling equipment during the final shock absorber unit assembly stage. The filling process consists of vacuum pumping the shock absorber unit and subsequent transfer of fluid. Vacuum pumping is necessary to remove residual air from the shock absorber unit prior to initiating the liquid filling stage. The presence of undesirable gases drastically compromises the performance of a shock absorber. The filling degree, defined as the final ratio of air to oil, is determined by the specific filling protocol as well as the specific equipment utilized.The current investigation aims to develop a viable technique to accurately determine residual air content in shock absorber units. If the filling degree can be appropriately quantified for a specific manufacturing process, then the air/oil ratio may be quantitatively related to shock absorber performance. The utilized measurement method must be completely integrated into the manufacturing process to guarantee shock absorber performance specifications according to the manufacturer?s standards. By utilizing the measurement method developed in this work, the manufacturing process, manufacturing equipment and product specifications can all be tailored to provide improved filling conditions.The developed measurement method provides accurate quantification of the filling degree under a wide range of processing conditions. The method establishes the relative quantity of air in the shock absorber unit by performing in-situ compressibility tests. The fill ratio can be controlled and varied by manipulating the vacuum pressure exerted during the filling process. Performance tests, however, indicate no correlation between filling degree and unit performance..

In the production of pulp, paper and cardboard, a large amount of water is used daily. The water has to be purified in the internal purifying plant before it reaches the receiving body of water. In the biological purifying stage at the Stora Enso Skoghall mill, an aerated basin is used where the microorganisms, using oxygen, oxidize the organic material to carbon dioxide. The air is pumped from the bottom of the basin and the oxygen can then be transported from the air bubbles to the water through diffusion. The problem with aeration of waste water from the forest industry is that wood residues, such as fatty acids, are making the transport of oxygen in water more difficult.

Contemporary libraries face challenges in transforming their organization to meet the digitalized society. To develop the process of digitization of literature is a natural way for libraries to go when they already have more visitors online than physically. Since the demand for digital material is so sought after, we feel challenged to address the challenges of the Internet as an emerging functional medium for distributing knowledge. These developments will be able to significantly modify the nature of literature as well as the existing system of quality assurance. In this study, we explored and analyzed a digitization project at a research library.

Uppsatsen grundade sig ett behov och önskemål av en utvecklingsplan för BRF Solgårdarnas norra plantering i Lund. Planteringen gjordes om 2007 och bar med sig en vision om att planteringen skulle fokusera på det dynamiska samspelet mellan den äldre, uppvuxna och nyplanterade vegetationen. Tanken var konkret att slutträd planterades in i skydd av planteringens redan uppvuxna vegetation och i takt med att dessa växte till, skulle dessa ges mer utrymme genom att den skyddande vegetationen gallrades bort. Någonstans på vägen upprätthölls inte visionen och planteringen tilläts att växa fritt vilket bidrog till minskad ljustillgång och utrymme för slutträden som skulle gynnas i den avsedda successionsprocessen. För att göra en utvecklingsplan till denna speciella anläggning gjordes först en fallbeskrivning av utgångsläget med hjälp av tillhandahållen objektsspecifik information och fältbesök med den ansvariga projektören för anläggningen. En litteraturbakgrund gjordes i ett syfte att, med hjälp av några för uppsatsen utvalda vegetationsdynamiska begrepp, beskriva utgångsläget ytterligare. Utvalda begrepp att beskriva planteringen utifrån blev struktur & skiktning, ljus- skuggförhållanden och succession.

The purpose of this report is to come up with possible improvement suggestions to the distribution central at Götene Stål & Verktygs AB (GSV). GSV is a wholesale dealer located in Götene. The company doesn?t produce anything it self, it buys in products and sells them to customers.The distribution central at GSV is the place where the products comes in and gets ready to deliver.To come up with possible improvement suggestions we started with process mapping over the main process and the distribution centre process. The main process here is from the point where the customer gives GSV an order to the point where GSV deliver the order.Our result shows that the major problem in the distribution central at GSV is the big volume differences in the incoming goods.
