AbstractThis study focuses on three generations of Kurdish women's view on honor. The study is a qualitative research based on three individual interviews. The aim of this study is to examine how three generations of immigrant women from a culture of honor is influenced over time by the majority culture and its values together with how these women affect each other mutually both consciously and unconsciously within the family. The study is based on two questions: What does"honor" mean to the three generations of women who are Muslim and Kurdish? Did these three generations of women?s idea of honor change over time as they have lived in Sweden? Results of this study have shown that the concept of honor has its focus on the woman's body, sexuality and chastity.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt var att beskriva hur intravenös cytostatikabehandling vid cancersjukdom påverkar patienters ätande. Studien baserades på 12 vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet visade att patienter hade problem med förändrad smak och lukt, illamående och kräkning samt smärta, muntorrhet och sväljning. Dessa symtom påverkade ätandet i stor utsträckning och hade en negativ inverkan på livskvaliteten. Smakförändringarna och problem från munnen var mer besvärande och påverkade ätandet i större utsträckning än vad som kunde förutses.

The main purpose of this study was to investigate which enter- and exit barriers that exist on the banking market for small enterprises located within the region of Gotland. The reason was to examine and identify which barriers that could affect the mobility among small enterprise bank customers on the bank market. To identify the barriers, the study was carried out partly by a quantitative survey with 33 small business owners respondents located at three different concentrated small enterprise areas within the region of Gotland. And partly by qualitative interviews that were conducted with two employees at Länsförsäkringar Gotland Bank.The result indicated that the enter barrier mostly depended on the aspect that business owners of small enterprises believed that bank switching were complicated. The business owners did also consider bank switching as time demanding.

När verksamheter ska införa nya informationssystem uppstår det ofta problem som kan ha med sociala och organisatoriska effekter att göra. Problem kan även uppstå vid utvecklandet av informationssystem och då ofta vid slutet av systemutvecklingen eller när informationssystemet har tagits i drift. Problem med systemutveckling och införande av informationssystem kostar mycket tid och pengar för verksamheter. Detta arbete har som syfte att se om verksamheter kan dra nytta av liknande verksamheters erfarenheter av problem vid införande av ett nytt informationssystem.För att undersöka problemområdet har en litteraturstudie genomförts där det har identifierats ett antal problem med införande av ett nytt informationssystem inom hemsjukvården. Vidare gjordes en surveyundersökning där intervjuer användes för att intervjua distriktsveterinärer då det ansågs som en liknande verksamhet där båda åker ut på patientbesök.

Fokus i examensarbetet ligger i att kartlägga likheter och skillnader i inlärning hos människor/djur och artificiella system genom att jämföra inlärningshastigheter och avkligningstider. Förhoppningen är att detta i förlängningen bidrar till ökad förståelse för och därmed förbättrad interaktion mellan artificiell och mänsklig intelligens. Arbetet bygger i huvudsak på teorier av B.F. Skinner och hans bok The behavior of organisms som gavs ut 1938. Hans teorier och experiment jämfördes med dagens kunskap om artificiell intelligens och ett eget experiment med artificiella neurala nätverk genomfördes.

This essay examines how the author of 1 Peter exhorted Christ-believing slaves and wives in 1 Pet 2:18-3:6, a passage that invites questions about submission, questions that, in contemporary contexts, are oftentimes controversial. The essay also calls attention to the advantages and the complexities of understanding 2:18-3:6 relative to ancient Roman familial and hierarchical structures. A close exegetical analysis of the passage points out a variety of scholarly viewpoints on ?Peter?s? admonitions to slaves and wives. Following the exegetical analysis, attention is given to feminist hermeneutics and to potential uses of this biblical text in contemporary contexts.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to answer the following questions regarding confirmation: In what ways do children seek confirmation in preschool? What are children confirmed for and how do they react to the confirmation? How is confirmation used by teachers? What do children want to receive confirmation for?The starting point for this study is based on the unique theories of Skinner, Maslow and Bronfenbrenner. The main focus with regard to Skinner?s theory (in this study) lies in reinforcement. In Maslow?s theory, the concentration is on hierarchy of needs while in Bronfenbrenner?s theory, the study centers upon interaction.

Uppsatsen avser att undersöka hur Skatteverkets kontroller av företagare går till praktiskt. Utifrån detta ska uppsatsen utreda vilka problem som finns i det praktiska arbetet som Skatteverket gör i de olika kontrollformerna. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ metod vilken valts för att få en djupare förståelse för studieämnet. Det empiriska materialet till studien har samlats in med hjälp av intervjuer med sammanlagt fem handläggare på Skatteverket. Material till den teoretiska referensramen har inhämtats från relevant litteratur och sökningar i databaser.

This essay will focus on the people using and are involved in, and have a large interest in the horror film genre. The purpose of this essay is to find what urge these people to continuously watch horror movies and how they believe to be acknowledge by the society in a modern sense. Our study is mainly based on two separate interviews and therefore, mainly from the users perspective. This essay is also complemented by earlier research on this topic. In context of stigma, violence debate, exclusion we found that the users truly can be found in a rare type of alternative sphere, besides the public sphere.

Bristande information angående läkemedelshantering kan vara en orsak till att patienter läggs in på sjukhus med läkemedelsrelaterade problem. En välinformerad och kunnig patient minskar risken för fel i läkemedelshanteringen. Patientinformation bör ses som en viktig del i patientens omvårdnad. Syftet med studien är att belysa betydelsen av sjuksköterskans roll i informationen till patienten för att få en säker läkemedelshantering. Metoden utgörs av litteraturstudier och vetenskapliga artiklar söktes i databaserna CINAHL, PubMed och ELIN under perioden september och oktober 2007.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate the presences of open-ended problems in the textbooks of high school Mathematics A. For practical reasons the study was limited to three textbooks and two topics, Fractions and Area & Volume. The Essay also describes the theory behind open-ended problems and why they should be used. I identify three criteria as a definition for open-ended problems. The study found that only 7,6% of the investigated tasks qualified, and met at least 1 criterion.

A pavement construction designed to cope with the different type of traffic loads; it is exposed to and at the same time it can resist the effect of the climate. A road structure consists of sub- and superstructure which is divided by a boundary known as terrace. During the construction of unbound layers (base course and sub-base course) in the superstructure, it is always ensured that the material meet the requirements for bearing capacity and the degree of compaction. These parameters are controlled by various laboratory tests and control methods. To obtain increased knowledge of the material and improve the quality of the compaction in the field, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests in order to determine material properties.A base course material 0/ 32 mm limestone from Gotland (Hejdeby) was investigated in this study.

This qualitative study is about the differences and similarities between the organization Friends and schools? methods to prevent bullying. Aggression, bullying and discomfort in schools result in that many students do not dare to go to school because of their fear that they might get attacked and become systematically bullied. Bullying is a universal and persistent problem. In this study the reader will receive a better understanding and get an insight into the problems that teachers and students experience and struggle with every day in dealing with bullying in schools.
