The purpose with this study was to get a deeper understanding of how the social welfare secretaries experience the meeting with clients.Our main questions were how the social welfare secretaries thinks about their own way to behave in the meeting with clients, which difficulties/obstacles there can be a and which factors they think affect the meeting. What is it that makes the social welfare secretaries experience a meeting as good or less good.Theory used: ?naive theory? and ?theory of communication?. The social welfare secretaries emphasised the importance of respect and clarity in their relations with the clients. By contrast with literature, the hover between power and support was not found difficult.The goal is that the social welfare secretaries and the clients understand each other and that they reach the purpose with the meeting..

Lean på Menyn - En fallstudie av en rörlig personalstyrkas påverkan på en implementering av lean i restaurangbranschen

Today, the management concept of lean has stretched far from its origins in the Japanese automobile industry. When reaching the Swedish restaurant industry, the conditions for a successful implementation of lean change as a result of the high employee turnover and the significant amount of part-time employees characteristic for the industry. Combined with a high-end service profile, these workforce characteristics seem inconsistent with some of the basic principles of lean. By conducting a case study, this thesis aims to investigate the effects of a variable workforce on the enablers for a successful implementation of lean in a high-end service industry. Using a theoretical framework consisting of enablers for an implementation of lean in services, the study finds that the variable workforce inhibits an implementation of lean by complicating the effects of traditional training, as well as the possibility of understanding the lean concept at all levels of the organization.

Prevalens av samsynsproblem hos optikerstudenter samt ekonomistudenter vid Linnéuniversitetet i Kalmar

Syfte: Att studera prevalensen av samsynsproblem hos förstaårselever på optikerprogrammet, och jämföra med förstaårselever från ekonomihögskolan. Denna studie är tänkt att ligga till grund för en longitudinell studie av samsynsproblem hos optikerstudenter samt ekonomistudenter vid Linnéuniversitetet i Kalmar.Metod: I studien deltog 15 optikerstudenter samt 15 ekonomistudenter, som läser första året vid Linneuniversitetet i Kalmar. Undersökningen inleddes med en anamnesenkät och sedan utfördes en binokulär synundersökning innehållandes tester av samsynen. Resultaten analyserades och jämfördes med normalvärden för att bestämma studentens eventuella vergens- eller ackommodationssyndrom.Resultat: Bland optikerstudenterna hade 6 studenter av 15 tendens till något av vergens- eller ackommodationssyndromen, och bland ekonomistudenterna hade 9 studenter av 15 tendens till något av vergens- eller ackommodationssyndromen.Slutsats: Denna studie visade en prevalens av samsynsproblem hos optikerstudenter på 40 % och hos ekonomistudenter på 60 %, vilket är något högre än tidigare studier. Att optikerstudenter skulle vara mer utsatta för samsynsproblem än andra studenter är något denna studie inte tyder på.

Resultaten av vår undersökning visar på att vi generellt sett inte kan säga om individuella investerare agerar enligt regret theory eller inte. En del resultat tyder dock på att vissa effekter inom teorin är applicerbar på individuella investerare. Vi kan urskilja trender som tyder på att individen beter sig på ett visst sett och resonerat kring varför han beter sig så. Individen föredrar alltid det säkra alternativet om förluster eller stora vinster står på spel. Om skillnaden i säkerhet är väldigt liten försummar han den.

The purpose of the study was to discover how nurses can maintain a good quality of life for cancerpatients at the end of life. We examined seven scientific articles in accordance with Polit, Beck & Hungler (2001) criteria for scientific validity. We used Carnevali's (1996) model of demand and resources as a frame of reference. The results showed that physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs affect quality of life in different ways. Sammanfattning Denna studie utreder om ett långsiktigt samband mellan oljepriset och valda aktieindex kan påvisas. Tre typer av aktieindex har valts, generalindex, industriindex och råvaruindex, för Sverige respektive Norge. In this war it became clear that the strategies used in traditional wars between states were not sufficient. Att se på kommunikationsproblem ur Heifetz' Adaptive Leadership Theory

Som ett verktyg för organisationer att möta en alltmer komplex omvärld och komplexa problem har Ronald A. Heifetz (1994) utvecklat Adaptive Leadership Theory. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka om Adaptive Leadership Theory kunde användas för att få en förståelse för varför kommunikationsproblem återkommer. Frågeställningen var; Kan det undersökta företagets återkommande kommunikationsproblem förklaras, utifrån Heifetz? (1994) teori, med att medarbetarna har identifierat och hanterat dem felaktigt? Data samlades in genom kvalitativa intervjuer på en svensk arbetsplats och analyserades enligt en induktiv tematisk analys.

Följsamhet till basala hygienrutiner på en vårdavdelning

The purpose of this work was to investigate the adherence to basic hygiene routines among staff and to investigate if there is any difference between the adherences in diverse professions. The purpose was also to study how staff rates their own adherence to current guidelines. Data for the study were collected through observations and questionnaires. Altogether 35 people were observed and 15 answered the questionnaire. Maximum adherence was found in the category of "hand disinfection after patient contact" with a score of 96%.
