With the purpose of finding the motives behind use, production and reuse of Open Educational Resources (OER), the writer has conducted a qualitative survey. The three main questions in this two years master?s thesis are:? Why do people use others? unmodified OER?? Why do people produce OER?? Why do people alter and reuse OER?The theoretic framework is built around Manuel Castells? network society, with its social and efficiency seeking dimension, along with the Knowledge commons. Some pedagogy is included as well.A web survey was distributed to 796 users of the Connexions OER repository. 95 responses were received.

Bakgrund: Antalet kvinnliga chefer är betydligt fler än för tio år sedan, men de är alltjämt något av en minoritet i storföretagen. Förändringsarbetet går långsamt trots gedigna insatser från både näringslivet och akademin, och det är fortfarande ett fåtal kvinnor i toppen. Under en mycket kort tidsperiod har kvinnor varit med om en genomgripande förändring, vilket medfört att föreställningar, attityder och värderingar inte förändrats i samma takt vare sig hos kvinnorna själva eller i omgivningen. Det diskuteras huruvida de fördomar och den konservatism som råder såväl i samhället som i organisationer utgör ett hinder för kvinnor att nå högre positioner inom näringslivet. Det spekuleras huruvida det är männen som hindrar kvinnorna i karriären då de utgör en majoritet i organisationerna och därefter eftersträvar en fortsatt homogen miljö att agera i.

The study has examined how some immigrants have managed to reestablish their professional careers in Sweden. Through in-depth-interviewing with six immigrant informants representing different genders, age and professional experience the process of successfully reestablishing a career within the same professional area in Sweden as in their native country is examined.The study looked at structural and individual possibilities and obstacles which affected the individual. In addition the study looked at the personal characteristics and strategies used by the informants to overcome and succeed in adapting and reestablishing their working life.  The study has drawn on human capital and social capital theory for a basic understanding of how education and skills affect. In addition the informants have surpassed structural Barriers affecting many other immigrants.

There are many Barriers and obstacles that need to be removed to make the urban environment more accessible for people with disabilities. There are currently no adequate tools for urban planners to assess and address these obstacles. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) provide powerful methods for the visualization and analysis of spatial data, including the kind of data important in studies of accessibility. This study suggests a method urban planners can use to identify accessibility obstacles and to propose future actions to fix them.A literature review was conducted to find out what has been done and what is new regarding the accessibility issues. Different methods were evaluated which in turn led to the construction of a multi-step analytical strategy.

This Masters thesis concerns difficulties experienced by Gender Studies researchers in an information seeking context. The aim is to identify, and study the cause of, these potential difficulties by asking the following questions: How do researchers in Gender Studies seek information? What difficulties may arise when information seeking is carried out in Gender Studies? What may be the cause of these difficulties? What does Gender Studies consist of? In order to find feasible answers to these questions, particular attention is paid to the context in which the researchers exist and work. The database KVINNSAM serves as an example of how libraries have tried to overcome Barriers in information seeking in Gender Studies. The method used is a qualitative one based on interviews and literature studies.

Background:Breast milk has many good qualities and recommendations declare that breast milk alone is the most favorable choice for newborn babies up to six months of age. When the mother can´t provide her own breast milk for her baby, donor milk is a valuable source. Unfortunately the demand is often higher than the supply and thereby milk banks suffer from shortages. Aim: Highlighting women's experiences of being milk donors. Method: The study has been conducted as a literature review in which existing research has been used.

Today equal representation between the genders in parliament is something to be desired. One way to reach the goal of equal representation is by using quotas. The purpose of the study is to research the lack of equality in elected institutions by using a perspective on qoutas.  The study also seeks to find answers to if using quotas is a good method according to gender studies. A text analysis is being used to find reasonable solutions to the study´s presented complivations.  By analyzing different texts about quotas some of the more common arguments in the discussion about using quotas in parliaments were highlighted. Some of the more frequent arguments to implement quotas are that it would be more just but also that women and men may have different interests, experiences and therefore equal representation would be a question of resources.

This qualitative study is based upon interviews with librarians. It investigates the librarians? opinions on material adapted for disabled people and examines strategies used to market user friendly services for the disabled. The study explores librarians? views about streaming directly on the internet.

Geographical indications designate products which have a specific geographical origin, which can either be national, regional or local. The subject is complicated since geographical indications arises a large number of questions There are EC regulations which regulate the protection of geographical indications, but since the field has not yet been exhaustively harmonized, the existence of national rules of protection is therefore still possible, which can lead to trade Barriers between the member states. Consequently, one problem consists in whether it may be legitimate to restrict the free movement of goods by article 28 in the EC Treaty by referring to national rules of protection and to what extent such measures may be justified by article 30 or by the Cassis doctrine. An additional question consists in how the line between geographical indications and generic terms is to be established appropriately. Further, geographical indications are exposed to improper use by other dishonest commercial operators and therefore the possibilities of protection against unfair competition and misleading are also discussed in the thesis.

Den totala konkurrensen motverkas av aktörer som sedan tidigare varit ledande på denna marknad och som vill försvara sin marknadsposition. De hinder som dessa aktörer uppsätter kallar inträdeshinder. Eftermarknaden för bilbranschen har nu avreglerats för att främja konkurrensen. Finns det inträdeshinder som motverkar fri konkurrens? Syftet med vår undersökning är att se vilka inträdeshinder som går att identifiera på eftermarknaden för bilbranschen samt vilket specifikt inträdeshinder i denna bransch som är mest svåröverkomligt. Slutsatser Två av inträdeshindren, stordriftsfördelar samt tillgång till distributionsled är inte identifierbara på det nya marknadssegment som har öppnats.

In retrospect, it should be noted that the Swedish food industry managed well.
