The focus of this work is to study whether public libraries should offer their patrons unlimited access to the Internet, or restrict which sites they can visit. The most common tool used to limit Internet access is filtering software. The author has administered four interviews with public librarians working in libraries in Southern Sweden. All four librarians had different opinions about restricting Internet access. The most important question asked was if they had chosen to use filtering, and the reasons for their decision.

Internet har skapat ett nytt sätt att göra affärer genom att frambringa en helt ny marknad och omgivning för företagen. Många företag i olika branscher har idag kompletterat sin ordinarie försäljning med försäljning via Internet. En av dessa branscher är dagligvarubranschen som vi har valt att undersöka. Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur butiker som säljer livsmedel via Internet har löst det nya försäljningssättet gällande de nya arbetsuppgifter som tillkommer. Vidare har vi undersökt butikernas syfte med att börja sälja livsmedel via Internet, samt vad de ser för fördelar.

The aim of this master's thesis is to describe the management of free Internet resources in three Swedish research libraries. With the starting point in the increased quantity and importance of these resources, together with reflections on the change of the concept of collection, the thesis shows how and to what extent these freely accessible Internet resources are being integrated in the day-to-day work with collection development. It also elucidates the problems with the free Internet resources from the research libraries points of view. The study is based upon analyses of collection management literature and qualitative interviews with librarians at the chosen libraries. The thesis shows that the research libraries still have not come very far in their work of integrating the free Internet resources in their collections.

Syftet med vår studie är att förstå i vilken omfattning pedagoger använder Internet för att publicera dokumentation av barn i verksamheten, och hur delaktiga barnen är i dokumentationsprocessen. Vi vill åskådliggöra pedagogers uppfattningar om dokumentation som synliggörs på Internet och vi hoppas att tillföra en synvinkel av hur delaktiga barn är i dokumentationsprocesser, dels det som synliggörs i förskolan men även det som publiceras på Internet.För att fånga omfattningen av pedagogers användande av Internet i verksamheten samt deras uppfattningar ingick 63 förskollärare och barnskötare i en enkätstudie.Resultatet visar att det sker ett publicerande av dokumentation på Internet som är både öppet och slutet för allmänheten. En viktig slutsats är att barn inte alltid är helt delaktiga i dokumentationsprocessen och urval av material som ska publiceras samt att pedagoger inte alltid tänker på de socioekonomiska förutsättningarna som råder i Sverige. Detta kan leda till att barn eller vårdnadshavare inte får ta del av dokumentation då det ibland förutsätts att alla har tillgång till Internet i hemmet..

The study aims to investigate student?s attitudes and experiences of information retrieval on the Internet, as tools for learning. I have been interested of their own views about their own knowledge and experience in the subject, information seeking on the Internet. The focus is on what they perceive as problematic, what skills they consider they have and what needs they have in terms of teaching. Data were collected via questionnaires.

In today?s IT-community, consumers use the internet in a increasing rate to find information or to purchase products and services. This has led to a growth in the market, but also a greater competition between e-stores and web shops. To separate yourself from the masses has become more important, the question is; what strategy should the IT-salesman use? The meaning of this scientific study is to find and focus on witch the primary factors/aspects are, that controls and is the very foundation for the consumer making a purchase, by using the internet.

The purpose of this media scientific study is to contribute to a better understanding about how blind people?s empowerment and participation may affect their role in the digital society.Earlier international studies in this area have shown that blind people not only need more knowledge then the seeing population about the computer, but also about the technology behind their tools for using Internet. The results from these studies have also shown that Internet increases the blind people?s independents and that those who use Internet feel more involved in the society.A qualitative method was chosen to study the three most common categories from the earlier studies: knowledge of technology, empowerment and participation. Are there differences in the results compared to our study in Sweden 2014?Interviews with eight blind, experienced computer users have shown that knowledge of technology is essential for their use of Internet and that the Internet increases their empowerment and their participation.

Bakgrund och problem: De finansiella rapporterna för bankerna och dess analysvärde har kommit att ifrågasättas och aktualiseras i samband med finanskrisen. Eftersom bankernas verksamhet blir allt mer komplex, samtidigt som bankerna utgör ett fundament för ett välfungerande samhälle är vikten av att kunna bedöma stabiliteten i en bank högst aktuell. Värderingen av en banks verksamhet och riskerna kopplade till stabilitet är svårare att bedöma i en bank än för ett icke finansiellt företag. Vikten att identifiera de nyckeltal som kan förutspå stabilitet i den enskilda banken och minska bristen på transparens leder till forskningsfrågan: Vilka nyckeltal har ett högt prognosvärde när det gäller att utvärdera huruvida en bank kan anses vara stabil utifrån ett externt perspektiv?Syfte: Det övergripande syftet med uppsatsen är att finna nyckeltal som kan användas för att prognostisera stabiliteten i en bank.Metod: För att uppnå syftet med studien presenteras en litteraturgenomgång som karaktäriserar en stabil bank och riskerna kopplade till verksamheten.

The main purpose of this study has been to explore and determine how the journalistic work was used by internet users to start and keep a discussion on the internet going.We started in the aftermath of a local arson in a town of Sweden, where a discussion on the internet forum Flashback and the local newspapers commentary fields was raised.We have used these discussions to study what part the journalistic work play in these events. To do that we used a critical discourse analysis and a rhetoric analysis to investigate how these discussions use news articles to make their point. We divided the comments into four different categories, which are comments about understandings of the event, comments that talked about the matters of fact, criticism pointed at the newspaper and comments that identify the offenders.The result of the analysis shows that both forums use journalistic work as facts in their discussions. Both also use earlier articles that were written before the arson, to make their point in the discussion..

Banker utgör en kritisk och viktig del av samhället, parallellt med detta diskuterasföretags roll och ansvar i samhället idag i stor omfattning. Debatten är inte ny och harunder en längre tid diskuterats i den akademiska litteraturen och det mediala rummet.I dessa sammanhang nämns ofta begreppet corporate social responsibility (CSR).Begreppet är omdiskuterat och det råder ingen konsensus kring exempelvisdefinitioner av begreppet. Det kan göra det luddigt att arbeta med dessa frågor ochoklart vad det innebär.Författarnas syfte med denna studie är att presentera en modell vilken kan ligga somgrund för en bank som vill integrera CSR i sina affärsprocesser. Författarnaåstadkommer detta genom extensiva litteraturstudier och en mindre empiriskinsamling där både svenska storbanker och en mindre nischbank studeras.Tillvägagångssättet gör att modellen har god teoretisk förankring och kan användas aven bank som vill integrera CSR i sina affärsprocesser. Modellen utgår från treansvarsområden; ett juridiskt, ett ekonomiskt och ett etiskt.

Swedish contract law is based on the main principle of freedom of contract, which means that a contract is built on a voluntary agreement of both parties. There are exceptions from the principle of freedom of contract. In some instances a party is obliged to contract (kontraheringsplikt), which also is the subject for this paper. Kontraheringsplikt can be described as an obligation for one of the parts in a relation to come to an agreement under normal circumstances with everyone who ask for it. The cases of kontraheringsplikt are rather different.

Bakgrund: Uppkomsten av Internet och introduktionen av Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandel har gjort det möjligt att handla med aktier på ett helt nytt sätt. Denna uppsats fokuserar på att utreda huruvida Internet och Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandel via Internet har påverkat aktiehandeln vid Stockholmsbörsen. Frågorna uppsatsen har besvarats med hjälp av litteratur samt med hjälp av intervjuer med ansvariga för aktiehandeln vid två av Sveriges största banker.Problem: Hur har aktiehandeln på Stockholmsbörsen påverkats i och med att svenska folket fick tillgång till Internet och Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandeln?Vilka likheter och skillnader finns det mellan aktiehandel över Internet och annan Internetbaserad handel?Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda hur aktiehandeln vid Stockholmsbörsen har påverkats i och med att aktiehandeln har blivit förenklad och tillgänglig för alla i en större utsträckning genom tillgången till Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandel. Ett delsyfte är att testa förklaringsvärdet på modellen för Internethandel som appliceras på empirin i denna uppsats.Resultat: Studien som har genomförts visar att Internettjänsterna inte direkt har lockat nya investerare att investera i aktier.

Budgetens vara eller icke vara har under längre perioder varit ett omdiskuterat ämne, och ett flertal artiklar har skirivit om huruvida budget är ett lämpligt styrverktyg eller ej. Å ena sidan har budgeten starkt kritiserats, å andra sidan har flertalet undersökningar mellan 1997-2002 påvisat att budget fortfarande används i stor utsträckning. Hur budgetsitutationen ser ut idag verkar till synes något mindre utforskat.Huvudsyftet med studien har varit att undersöka vad Handelsbanken, Swedbank samt Länsförsäkringar Bank anser om den omtalade budgeten. Dessutom, om det visar sig budgeten fortfarande används, försöka undersöka de bakomliggande orsakerna till detta. För att genomföra studien har personliga intrevjuer med kontorscheferna på respektive bank genomförts.Slutligen kan det konstateras att synen på budget fortafarande är något tudelad.

Sweden is going through big changes within the bank sector. Increasing card usage, decrease of cash acceptance in the society, an attempt to reduce money laundering, and a possible increase in profitability has lead to the rescindment of cash management among three of the four major banks. This has lead to a big debate in the society, a lot of frustration from customers, and a drop in customer satisfaction for every bank that started the process of removing cash management. The purpose of this study is to find out how the banks could keep their customer satisfaction when removing cash management. When doing the study, the rescindment of cash was a deduction of a part of the service, compared to the normal adding or starting of a service. The study was done through a focus group that was the base of a questionnaire that got answered by 125 respondents.

The main purpose of this Master thesis is to investigate the journalists' attitude towards Internet as a news medium. The thesis also gives a general synopsis of the changing role of news media as enter the scene of Internet. The major part of this study consists of empirical studies though there is not much research-work made in this area. This case study is based on qualitative interviews of journalists. This method was the most suitable as the aim was to see tendencies and attitudes in a more individual light.
