The aim of this bachelor thesis is to study how Catalans´ identifications, with respect to their city (Barcelona), their region (Catalonia), their country (Spain) and Europe, are related to each other. Furthermore it deals with whether they use cultural or civic notations when they speak of their identification with the different territorial levels.The thesis is based on a qualitative method with interviews with ten Catalans living in Barcelona, aged from 18 to 58. The result showed that Catalans´ identifications with different territorial levels vary in how they relate to each other. This variation can be classified using three models, namely; ?The Russian doll model? which implies that the identities are ranked hierarchically, ?cross-cutting? that is people can identify themselves with the different levels depending on various situations, and also ?The marble cake model? which means that the different identities are so intertwined that they cannot be separated.

SyfteRapporten syftar till att analysera om nyckeltalsjämförelser kan leda till en effektivare sjukvård. Därutöver skall rapporten föra ett resonemang om hur detta system kan se ut. MetodRapporten har en abduktiv ansats med skarpa drag mot deduktion. Vidare används en kvalitativ metod för informationsinsamlandet. Rapporten börjar deskriptivt och avslutas normativt.

On the first of January 2012, a new public authority was formed in Värmland, due to a new legislation on public transport. The first task for the new public authority was to produce a plan for the development of public transport. In order to do so, it had to execute an extensive consultation process about the long-term goals of public transport. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate how a public authority can use a consultation process as a means to clarify accountability and produce unified goals. To answer that, I have done a case study about how the new regional public authority in Värmland for public transport has acted in the process of writing a plan for the development of public transport.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka om det finns ett positivt samband mellan hur ofta en individ besöker tandvården för en undersökning hos tandläkare eller tandhygienist och individens tandhälsa, mätt som antal kvarvarande intakta tänder. Har de som går oftare till tandvården för kontroll (undersökning) en bättre tandhälsa än de som går mer sällan? Data avseende de individer som besökte tandvården för en undersökning hos tandläkare (åtgärd 101) eller tandhygienist (åtgärd 102) under perioden 1 januari till 30 juni 2009 har hämtats från Tandhälsoregistret, och kompletterats med några variabler som i studier och empiri visat sig ha inverkan på individers beteende och hälsotillstånd, t ex utbildningsnivå, för analys i en linjär regressionsmodell. Resultat från regressionsanalysen tyder på att det inte finns något positivt samband mellan en individs tandhälsa, enligt vald definition, och antalet besök hos tandläkare eller tandhygienist, till skillnad från förväntat. Av de faktorer som analyserats har individens ålder, av naturliga skäl, en stark inverkan, men även födelseland/-region och utbildningsnivå har betydelse för antal intakta tänder hos individen..

This report is the outcome of an exam work made in interaction design, bachelor degree, at the School of Arts and Communication, Malmö University. Working in collaboration with the childhood obesity unit, Region Skåne, our aim was to fulfill their request of a web based application preparing the children for treatment at their facility. Furthermore the application intends to give the children knowledge concerning obesity as well as teaching them how to obtain a healthier lifestyle in terms of provision and activities. The application concerns children in different ages and therefore different stages of their learning abilities. Our conclusions are that they need to be challenged and obtain feedback in different ways to get motivated.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur aktiekurserna hos företagen som är listade på OMX i Stockholm, Köpenhamn och Helsingfors beter sig efter en större nedgång/krasch och om företagens storlek i form av börsvärde påverkar beteendet. Undersökningen sker med Gutenberg och Richters fysikaliska lag som används till att mäta förhållandet mellan jordbävningars magnitud och antalet krascher under en viss tid i en viss region. Modellens riktighet på det insamlade data som används kommer kontrolleras med hjälp av en regression och valideras med hjälp av tidigare forskning. För att rättfärdiga den ekonofysiska metod vi använder oss av, kommer vi även att studera indexavkastningarnas beskrivande statistik för att visa på att det nationalekonomiska antagandet om normalfördelning vid aktieavkastningar inte gäller. Resultatet pekar på en viss systematisk skillnad mellan hur börsvärdesmässigt stora företag beter sig jämfört mot hur små företag beter sig efter att en krasch ägt rum.

Two elementary schools are now being built in Gråbo (in the municipality of Lerum),Röselidsskolan and Ljungviksskolan, which are both designed with solar thermalcollectors for the schools domestic water heating. During the summer while thelargest amount of solar heat can be generated, the activity hence the domestic wateruse in the schools are heavily reduced. Both schools are connected to the local districtheating system which makes it possible to use the solar collectors to deliver heat tothe district heating.The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the two systems mentioned above and todetermine which system is more suitable to apply on a school. The building whichconditions were used for this evaluation is Röselidsskolan.A solar heating plant of each system type was dimensioned from the expected andknown conditions of the building. The purpose with the dimensioning was to makethe solar plants replace the ordinary energy source as much as possible.

Målgruppen uppleveratt information som skickas till dem är dåligt anpassad till deras situationoch att språket i informationen ofta är svårt att förstå.

Målet med arbetsterapeutens arbete är att möjliggöra utförandet av vardagliga aktiviteter. Arbetsterapeuternas arbetstid innefattar både patient- och icke-patientrelaterad tid. Den icke-patientrelaterade tiden är tid som upptar en stor del av arbetsterapeutens arbetstid men som inte syns. Denna studie bygger på en enkätstudie som avsåg att lyfta fram och tydliggöra arbetsterapeuternas patient- och icke-patientrelaterade tid. Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka vad arbetsterapeuten i primärvården gör på sin arbetstid när han/hon inte träffar patienter.

North Korea is considered to be the most autocratic dictatorship in the world today. Its citizens are denied their most basic human rights and North Koreas ambition to pursue nuclear weapons is looked upon with great fear from the international community and the US in particular. Some experts say that the threat from North Korea is far greater than the one possessed by Saddam Hussein. Although North Korea seems to inhabit all the necessary criteria for an US military intervention the United States has openly declared its diplomatic ambitions with the state. Why?With the use of realist and social construction theory this study will bring clarity to why the United States prefers diplomacy instead of a military intervention.

This study focused on how local politicians in Kalmar perceive journalists and their intertwined relationship. We based our study on the theoretical understanding of today?s media-centric democratic society. The ?adversary model? offered an understanding of the intricate relations between politicians and journalists.

The purpose of this study was to describe perceived psychosocial work environment and musculoskeletal complaints among baggage handlers, and to evaluate whether there is any linear relationship between them. The study is a questionnaire based cross-sectional study, and part of an ongoing larger project. Therefore, the number of forms has been limited to those that were collected in the project by 2010-11-25 (N=117). The questions analyzed in the study come from the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire and ?Nordiska Ministerrådets formulär om besvär i rörelseorganen?, respectively.

Inom byggbranschen kan man se att hårdnande konkurrens samt ökande materialpriser leder till minskande marginaler för företagen verksamma inom branschen. Med denna bakgrund blir samtliga kostnader viktiga att kontrollera och följa upp. En kostnadstyp som ofta blir något försummad är omkostnaderna för byggprojekt. Dessa kostnader följs bäst upp med kontinuerliga avstämningar under produktionstiden samt erfarenhetsåterföringar efter avslutat projekt. Som hjälpmedel för kontroll av dessa kostnader under produktionstiden finns produktionskalkylen.

Coordinator of public health has recently become a new profession in the field of Health Promotion. During the last few years the pedagogic perspective has been increasingly important for the coordinators as a way of adapting their work methods to the circumstances. The conditions for coordinators of public health differ between municipalities and thus their tasks and responsibilities may vary with the local structure. According to the literature there are several ways to conduct Health Promotion and it is in the hands of the coordinator to adjust the methods to fit local conditions. The purpose of the study was to examine what influences the coordinators of public health and how that affects their work methods.

This study is based on a case study of Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen, a project whose ambition is tofind ways to secure nature conservation in a local context. This is promoted at governmentlevel, which says that a local connection is needed to achieve sustainable regionaldevelopment. The study, based on a theoretical background of the concept of governance,intends to evaluate whether Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen can contribute to a sustainable regionaldevelopment.This study is based on meeting documentations, semi-structured interviews with variousstakeholders in the project, field studies and participant observation at an informativemeeting. The region of interest, north Dalarna, was visited twice to obtain the specificconditions that Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen have. The interviews revealed positive attitude to theincreased dialogue and cooperation that Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen has meant for theparticipants.
