The Essay starts with studying the time after the Second World War and its boom, the force behind many of the abandoned locations we see in our city today. Thereafter the idea of place is looked into, its importance for the individual and how the own individual experience affects the experience of place. It is about how we can create own places and through that recapture the city and give it meaning and contents again. The social aspects are being discussed as an important component of creating a feeling of reality. Further studies the abandoned rooms historical values since the past have an ability to raise the experience of a place. How decayed depends highly of economy and how we have gotten so used to changes that we accept capitalism as a driving force to decay is also being discussed. Thereafter the planers roll for the abandoned places in the city is being raised.

A diet based on a bigger part of locally produced vegetables can contribute to decreasing environmental impact and improved health. In Gotland horticulture has increased more than in Sweden in total during the last 15 years. To investigate possibilities for development of Gotland´s horticulture, the cultivation of potato, vegetables, fruits and berries was mapped through a questionnaire among growers. Interviews and a workshop with growers and reseller were conducted to investigate the interest and prerequisites for growing new crops. In total approximately 2340 hectares of potato, vegetables, fruits and berries were grown in Gotland in 2012.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att utveckla förståelse av villkor som är specifika för den kontext samhällsentreprenörer verkar i och som påverkar dem att utveckla en samhällsentreprenöriell anda. Den frågeställning jag sökte svar på var vad verksamma samhällsentreprenörer upplever som väsentliga kontextuella villkor för sitt agerande, sina tankar och sina attityder för att kunna utveckla en samhällsentreprenöriell anda. Uppsatsen har en etnografisk ansats, då intresset har varit att skapa förståelse och en beskrivning av samhällsentreprenörskap ur samhällsentreprenörernas synvinkel. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av 10 intervjuer, samt observationsmaterial av informanternas agerande på internet. Materialet har tolkats med hjälp av en tolkningsram.

Barns musikaliska intresse och utveckling kan bero på föräldrarnas påverkan genom uppväxten. I den här rapporten presenteras resultatet av kvalitativa intervjuer med sex mammor med barn i en ålder under två år. Tre av mammorna ägnar sig åt musik i sin profession, medan de andra tre har ett mer allmänt musikintresse. Oberoende av föräldrarnas bakgrund visar det sig att de anser musikalisk stimulering vara någonting viktig och nyttig för deras barns utveckling. Till exempel har alla i intervjugruppen deltagit i någon form av musikalisk aktivitet ämnad för barn.

The prevailing food and energy crisis of the world, due to the declining reserves of fossil energy and a never ending rise of consumption, forces us to look into new fields to supply our energy demand. The boom of bio energy is criticized, as food crops are used to provide biodiesel and ethanol and the volumes are ridiculously small to supply world demand. Algae are one of the world?s oldest life forms and exist in many different phyla, providing a great variety to choose from, for different purposes. Cultivating microalgae offer a way to produce energy at great volumes without competing with food production and at the same time the algae offer a way to use our expensive nutrients in a more efficient way, besides this the algae are carbon dioxide neutral since their carbon source can be supplied by the atmosphere and the additional energy required can be supplied by algal oil or other renewable sources.

High housing- and construction costs is a fact in Sweden today. Prices on building materials more rapidly than producer price index for industrial goods. Prices tend to rise during market boom but does not adapt during diminishing demand. The effects of fading demand can rather be deduced through discounts and quotations. During 1992-1998 when the Swedish construction sector found it self in severe crisis the prices of construction materials kept rising more rapidly than PPI for industrial merchandise.

I Sverige drabbas mellan 12-14,5 procent av nyblivna mödrar av förlossningsdepression. På senare tid har förlossningsdepression börjat diskuteras mer både i politiska och mediala sammanhang och forskning gjord på fältet har främst koncentrerats till medicinska och hormonella förklaringsmodeller till varför depressionen uppstår. Denna uppsats utgår från ett subjektivitetsperspektiv och har som syfte att beskriva mödrars upplevelser av förlossningsdepression, detta med särskilt fokus på den motsättning som antas ha uppstått då de nyblivna mödrarna drabbades av en förlossningsdepression när de normativa förväntningarna är att de borde ha varit lyckliga. Upplevelser av förlossningsdepression diskuteras utifrån Foucault och Goffmans teoretiseringar kring avvikande, Hochschilds teori kring bedömning av känslors legitimitet samt Berger och Luckmanns teoretisering kring roller. Hantering av depressionen diskuteras utifrån Goffmans dramaturgiska perspektiv samt Folkman och Lazarus coping-strategier.

Spekulationsbubblor kännetecknas av kraftigt stigande tillgångspriser som är övervärderade. En bubbla byggs upp av en kombination av mer lättillgängligt finansieringskapital samt ett irrationellt och mer riskbenäget beteende hos aktörer på marknaden. Prisstegringen mattas av med tiden och resulterar slutligen i ett drastiskt prisfall, en kraftig minskning av tillgångarnas värde och en finansiell kris uppstår.Uppsatsen syftar till att med hjälp av ett teoretiskt ramverk som tagits fram analysera hur uppbyggnadsfasen i den senaste i raden av spekulationsbubblor, bolånebubblan, har sett ut. Fokus har lagts på utveckling i utlåning och huspriser under perioden 2002-2008 i USA och i Sverige samt faktorer som kan ha orsakat eller påverkat denna utveckling. Vidare har de båda ländernas centralbankers räntepolitik och motiveringar till denna analyserats.Resultaten visar på att en kraftig ökning, en boom, i både utlåning och huspriser skedde under uppbyggnadsfasen av bubblan.

This project is implemented as a thesis at the Royal Institute of Technology in the master?s degree program Integrated Product Design and Industrial Design Engineering. The project has involved development and efficiency of a free starter package for expectant parents with useful content consisting of useful products for both before and after childbirth. Areas that have been investigated include packaging development, service design and appropriate content for the package.During the work, theory about packaging design, materials, manufacturing techniques and logistics have been processed to base the further work on. The project process has involved competitor analysis and interviews with store owners and customer surveys, that have been conducted to identify areas for improvement of the current solution.

Nyanländande Generation Y håller på att positionera sig på arbetsmarknaden och omfattas av individer födda inom intervallet 1980 ? 1995. Det återfinns dessvärre ytterst lite forskning gällande generationens investeringsbeteende. Mestadels av tidigare forskning har hittills handlat om hur tidigare generationer, så som Baby boomers och Generation X, tenderar att investera. Denna studie har därför försökt bidra till att fylla ut tomrummet i kunskapen beträffande Generation Y.Studien utreder investeringsbeteendet hos Generation Y genom att undersöka hur specifika karaktäristika påverkar deras sä?tt att investera.

The aim of the present thesis is to find deeper knowledge about women?s experiences of sexuality, desire and pleasure during childbirth. In this thesis there are statements of women?s different kinds of pleasurable and sexual feelings and experiences during birth. Furthermore, factors that may influence some women?s feelings and experiences of a sexual kind are discussed in relation to the common notion that women above all feel fear and pain when giving birth.
