Hjärtinfarkt är en traumatisk upplevelse, vilken även påverkar individen som har ett parförhållande till den drabbade. I omvårdnaden är det dock vanligt förekommande att dennes behov förbises. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelser relaterat till att ens partner drabbats av hjärtinfarkt. 13 vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Detta resulterade i fem kategorier: Att känna maktlöshet i situationen; Att känna oro och vilja övervaka partnerns hälsa; Att ha ett behov av att skydda sin partner; Att relationen till partnern förändras; Att framtiden är oviss och leva med döden som en realitet.

This report includes common helminths, symtoms, routes of infection, diagnostic laboratory techniques and prophylactic methods to prevent infection. We have pointed out where there is a risk of zoonotic transmission and how to avoid contamination and infection. We have restricted the number of species to the most common helminths. Some of these helminths do not naturally occur in Sweden (yet) but are nevertheless of current interest when we travel across borders with our horses, dogs and cats. The diagnostic part of our report tells about different techniques to find an occurance of helminths in samples of faeces, blood, urine or saliva from a horse, dog or cat. We also write about some recommendations on treating parasitic infections and the development of anthelmintic resistant helminths that originates from incorrect use of anthelmintic drugs .

Ultrasound is a diagnostic aid often overlooked by the veterinary practicioner who works with farm-animals. However, it?s use increases, particulary for breeders where ultrasound has long been used to evaluate ovaries and to diagnose pregnancy or disturbances in reproduction. There is much knowledge in how to examine ovaries and uterus by transrectal ultrasound, but when it comes to doing ultrasound of other organs in the abdomen the knowledge is more limited. Cows are very large animals, so it is not possible to examine everything inside the abdomen with ultrasound, simply because the ultrasound beam has a limited penetration. There is also lots of gas inside the gastro-intestinal tract of a cow, mainly in the large intestine and the rumen, and that makes it impossible to examine the organs behind the gas since the ultrasound waves are reflected when reaching the soft tissue-gas interface.

The aim of this study was to increase the knowledge of possibilities and obstacles for disabled people to meet a partner. The ambition was to know more about wishes for and needs of professional or other support. The methods have been literature studies, survey research, and interviews. A simple questionnaire was sent to administrative staff and social welfare officers who gave the information that they experienced those persons with intellectual disability or Aspergers syndrome had asked for support to meet a partner. To get a perspective from inside six semi structured interviews were made with disabled people having experience of relationships, love affairs.

När vuxna människor lever med sjukdom påverkas också deras partner. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva upplevelser av att leva i parrelation där en partner lever med sjukdom. Studien baserades på femton vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades med manifest, kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier: Att vara rädd, orolig och hjälplös: Att sexlivet förändras och annat blir viktigt: Att det är viktigt att kunna prata med varandra: Att anpassa sig och känna sig kvävd och Att uppskatta livet och gå vidare. Både de sjuka och deras partner upplevde rädsla, oro och hjälplöshet, men de försökte skydda varandra genom att inte uttrycka sin oro.

Bakgrund Tidig fosterdiagnostik är en undersökning med syfte att upptäcka eventuella kromosomavvikelser i fostret. Föräldrar kan komma att ställas inför flera svåra val under graviditeten. För att göra ett informerat val avseende tidig fosterdiagnostik krävs god information till de blivande föräldrarna från vårdgivaren. Syfte I denna studie undersöks om paret är överens eller inte avseende informerat val och huruvida det påverkar kvinnans graviditetsrelaterade oro, beslutskonflikt, nöjdhet med informationssamtalet samt om det påverkar hennes beslut att göra tidig fosterdiagnostik.Metod Femtiotre kvinnor, tidigt in i sin graviditet, deltog i studien. Kvinnorna delades upp i två grupper, där den ena var överens med sin partner avseende informerat val och den andra inte.

Skillnader visade sig inom följande områden: compelling direction, enabling direction, supportive organizational context och available coaching.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva äldre personers upplevelse av att bli ensam efter förlust av partner. Med hjälp av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats analyserades 13 vetenskapliga och internationellt publicerade artiklar. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: att känna tomhet, rädsla och ilska, att ha stöd när livet förändras, att känna utanförskap men även frihet och att sakna sitt tidigare liv.

Thesis purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the interdependencies within the process of partner selection in the fashion and design sector and the emanating criteria for finding the ideal co-branding partner in order to use co-branding as a strategic brand activation tool. The co-branding aim and the corresponding partner lead to various types of relationships, which, in this study, are anthropomorphized to connect the world of marketing and branding to real life.  This abstract describes the bachelor degree thesis in computer technology at Växjö University. The company BSR in Växjö has requested an application that can measure a cars performance, with attributes like acceleration times and engine power estimation. The communication between car and computer is via the USB port on the computer and the OBD-II socket on the car with the network protocol CAN, controller area network. Cars from VAG have been the primary focus group and the application has been tested on a Volkswagen Passat CC from 2009. The system is developed in the programming language C# in the environment Visual Studio with the framework .NET.

The purpose of this study was to do a narrative survey of the discussion about violence in partner relationships that is held in research literature. The question at issue was: How do research literature discuss violence in partner relationships, with focus on heterosexual relationships? The eight primary documents that have been chosen are written by researchers, professional therapists, National Counsil for Women's protection (Nationellt Råd för Kvinnofrid, NRK) and Swedish Government Official Report (Statens Offentliga Utredningar, SOU). To investigate the theories, discover the similarities and differences between them and how they can complement each other, the documents statements has been analyzed with a dialectic-hermeneutic approach and social constructionism and discourse theory.The research findings showed that the gender perspective theory, the psychodynamic theory and the social psychology theory have a few things in common, but that they on the whole are different and contradict each other. The gender perspective theory dominates the discussion but needs to be combined with the other theories to give a more all-embracing understanding.

In this bachelor thesis, diagnostic methods for one of Siemens stem inlet control valves have been developed. The work has taken place during ten weeks at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB in Finspång. The company produce steam- and gas turbines and also provides service and maintenance. The purpose with this project has been to develop diagnostic methods that oversee the health of the control valves. This paper shortly describes the coronavirus family, bovine corona viruses (BCV) properties and two diseases that BCV causes, winter dysentery and calf diarrhoea. The purpose of the study was to compare different diagnostic methods to detect BCV. Different methods are discussed, PCR, ELISA, immunofluorescense and virus isolation. Investigations were made in three different herds with winter dysentery; one dairy cattle farm with about 100 cows of different ages, one testing station for bulls with about 150 bulls and another small dairy cattle farm with 26 cows and 20 replacement heifers and calves. Faeces and nasal swabs were analysed with PCR and ELISA. The result shows that PCR seems to be a reliable method for detecting BCV but that the ELISA test can not be used as a reliable diagnostic method to analyse samples from animals with winter dysentery..
