During sleep the majority of the body?s production of anabolic hormones is produced and sleep is a general anabolic state of being. It has been to our recognition that a powernap is 4-6 times more effective when it comes to sleep intensity than the last 1-2 hours of a traditional eight hour sleep. With this in mind, and that elite athletes worldwide often sleeps in between their training sessions. This study has tried to prove a hypothesis which comes from the assumption that you can recover and perform better during times with intensive periods with better distribution of your sleep.We have in this study let three test subjects take part of a six week long program with two different training periods for legs.

During recent years, the trend of Swedish students? negative performance and results in mathematics has been discussed. It is agreed that a change in teaching methods is necessary in order to solve this issue. Thus we found it interesting to take a closer look at an alternative way of teaching. The purpose of this study was to find out what teachers and students associate concrete mathematics with and make a comparison between them.

Obesity and overweight are today classified as one of the largest epidemics in the Western world and is threaten a large part of the population. As a reaction to this a major health trend has emerged in recent decades. Every day consumers are exposed to information from the media about what is healthy or unhealthy to eat and the recommendations change frequently.There is great interest in healthy food on the Swedish food market, but still healthy foods only represents a small proportion of the total food sales. The essay examines the gap between the current and potential demand for healthy food and if it can be explained by any of the following factors: lack of information, price, taste or cognitive behavioral.To study these questions a quantitative method have been used and 213 questionnaires were collected. The intention is to draw general conclusions about the entire population.

Within the last year many companies have proactively started to communicate their flaws and weaknesses, believing that this will lead to they being perceived as more personal and human. Dominos Pizza is one of many examples of a company using this practice as a strategic tool for communication. However, the problem concerning the above arises as we found that there was a very limited amount of research defining the effects of communicating flaws, where the company's both dispatcher and initiator. Our study aims to fill the gap between this growing trend and the limited research explaining the communication effects. The study was carried out as an experiment where a total of 420 respondents participated.

Bakgrund: År 2006 så initierade regeringen en utredning gällande slopandet av revisionsplikten i Sverige, som en del i att anpassa sig till EU:s direktiv. Regeländringen gick igenom år 2010 och små aktiebolag i Sverige fick möjligheten att välja bort revision. Efter slopandet av revisionen har diskussioner angående en ytterligare harmonisering mot det högre gränsvärdet i EU förts. Detta ledde in oss på forskningsfrågorna: Hur kan intressenter i Sverige påverkas av en eventuell framtida höjning av gränsvärdet? Vilka möjligheter har intressenterna att anpassa sig till effekterna av en höjning av gränsvärdet?Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka de effekter en höjning av gränsvärdet för revision har för de tre signifikanta intressenterna; kreditgivare, Skatteverket och aktiebolag.

This thesis addresses the driving forces behind the Swedish state?s procurement of Helicopters 14 and 16 and the decommissioning of Helicopter 4. These actions have significantly affected the Swedish Armed Forces, especially the Helicopter Wing, in carrying out their operational tasks. On numerous occasions the Helicopter Wing has been unable to perform its tasks. For instance, the Nordic Battle Group 08 had no helicopters to exercise with and, until recently, Sweden had completely lacked the ability to hunt submarines with helicopters for almost ten years.This thesis also aims to compare the decisions in 1999-2000 regarding Helicopter 14 with the decisions in 2010-2011 regarding the acquisition of Helicopter 16, to find if there is a general trend and how much the Armed Forces were able to influence decisions.

Swedish students' knowledge of mathematics has deteriorated in recent years. Teaching of mathematics is therefore starting point in an ongoing discussion among researchers, school leaders, politicians, teachers and others, who all thinks they know best about how teaching should be designed to the greatest extent possible to raise students' proficiency levels in the subject. Teachers' practices have long been the focus of discussions and views on these differ. The purpose of this paper is therefore to study students 'conceptions of mathematics and mathematics teaching, with teachers' methods and tools of focus, in relation to previous research on the subject. The method used was a survey of students in secondary school and a textual analysis of previous studies on the subject.As revealed by the survey was that the textbook has a big advantage in mathematics education in Sweden today.Many students are not accustomed to working in a different way and thereforedoes not know either what the alternative approach entails.

Under den senaste tioårsperioden har Skolverket och internationella organisationer visat genom undersökningar en negativ trend vad det gäller svenska skolelevers resultat i ämnena matematik och svenska. Detta tyder på att det behövs en förändring i det svenska skolsystemet. Utomhuspedagogik är ett relativt nytt förhållningssätt till undervisning, där elevens intresse och autencitet i lärandet är utgångspunkten. Detta ligger till grund för uppsatsen som är en jämförande studie av två skolors resultat på de nationella proven för grundskolans årskurs 3, varav den ena med en utomhuspedagogisk profil. Syftet med studien är således att undersöka om utomhuspedagogik kan vara en lösning på den sjunkande resultattrenden inom svensk skola.

Med sociala mediers snabba och ständiga utveckling skiftar dess trender snabbt, medan funktioner föds, dör ut och användarbeteende förändras. En nyligen populariserad trend som snabbt vuxit till sig och blivit stor är användandet av hashtags. Hashtagtrendens nuvarande storlek och spridda användningsområde skapar ett stort intresse att undersöka dess egenskaper och möjligheter vidare. Denna uppsats riktar sig speciellt till kommunikationsbranschen när den behandlar frågeställningen: Vad driver användare till att använda hashtags på Instagram? Detta är en frågeställning som behandlats med en litteraturstudie, två fokusgrupper och tre intervjuer.Resultatet tyder på att de primära drivkrafterna bakom hashtagande på Instagram är identitetsskapande, egen vinning och strävan efter gemenskap.

The media industry, and especially the news, in Sweden is living in a dark world that seems to get even darker by the minute. According to Nordicom (2013) the number of readers in the ages 15-24 has dropped by 24 percentage points between 2007 and 2012. This is a big problem for the news industry, but also for democracy that require citizens that are well-read and know what is going on in society. Enda and Mitchel (2013) found that 65% of people in the USA have stopped reading a certain news source since it no longer fits their needs. Maybe with a better understanding for young adults needs this trend can change.This qualitative study was conducted using interviews with eight respondents to find out why young adults who study at a university consume news.

The Court of Justice of the European Union has progressively revised the rule of purely internal situations to ensure a wider scope of application of the economic freedoms as well as the EU citizenship right to move and reside freely within the Union. This development, combined with the increasing importance of fundamental rights, has strengthened the family life protection of those EU citizens who come within the scope of EU law. The limit between the individuals who may benefit from a EU right to family reunification and fundamental rights protection and those who find themselves in purely internal situations has, however, become more legally uncertain. The disadvantage suffered by those who fall outside the scope of EU law is known as reverse discrimination.The 2011 case Zambrano confirmed the trend towards an increasingly generous EU law protection of family life in cases where the exercise of freedom of movement and enjoyment of EU citizenship rights is potentially restricted by a Member State measure. By contrast, in the subsequent McCarthy- case, it became clear that families in purely internal situations may only rely on national immigration and procedural law to obtain family reunification and protection of their fundamental rights.

Syfte: År 2010 avskaffades revisionsplikten för de minsta företagen i Sverige. Trots att det har gått fyra år sedan dess, så är Sverige ett av de länder som har de lägsta gränsvärdena för frivillig revision i Europa. År 2013 presenterade EU ett nytt direktiv gällande dessa gränsvärden. Det pågår sedan dess diskussioner kring revisionsplikten och regeringen har startat upp en utredning huruvida EU:s redovisningsdirektiv skall införas i Sverige eller inte. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka effekter en höjning av gränsvärdena för frivillig revision kan få på redovisningen.

BakgrundI Sverige finns 9850 mil väg som är statligt ägd och 4160 mil kommunalt ägd väg. Av dessa består 80 % av asfalterat underlag. Det innebär att den offentliga verksamheten i Sverige omsätter stora mängder asfalt, både i form av nyanläggning av vägar samt underhåll av gamla vägar. Det finns också en stor privat asfaltmarknad, främst bestående av industrier, som har asfalterade ytor. Dessa privata verksamheter är en stor men ännu outforskad del av marknaden.SyfteUndersökningen hade till syfte att undersöka och jämföra hur privata och offentliga verksamheter prioriterar val vid upphandling av asfalt.

Som snart nyutexaminerade väcktes vårt intresse att studera hur konkurrenskraftiga nyutexaminerade personalvetare är på arbetsmarknaden idag. Enligt en enkätundersökning vid Göteborgs Universitet bland tidigare personalvetarstudenter ansåg över 80 % av studenterna att de har en tillräcklig eller mer än tillräcklig kompetens i förhållande till sina arbetsuppgifter. Däremot önskade majoriteten av de tidigare studenterna att Personalvetarprogrammet bör kompletteras med mer praktisk anknytning som t.ex. en praktiktermin. Uppgifterna kan tyckas vara motsägelsefulla och vi önskar därför bringa klarhet i arbetsgivares kompetenskrav Syftet med uppsatsen är att få en större förståelse kring vilka föreställningar som är framträdande i arbetsgivares krav på personalspecialisters kompetens.

Sedan aktiemarknadsbubblan sprack har företagens fokus på aktiemarknaden avtagit. Under de senaste åren har det dock återigen skett en viss ökning på aktiemarknaden och konkurrensen om investerares pengar har på nytt tilltagit. Individers ändrade preferenser gällande investeringar har orsakat en trend för företag att styra mot aktieägarvärde och ett flertal nya styrningsmodeller har därmed introducerats. Modellerna kan delas upp i två huvudgrupper där den ena huvudgruppen baseras på redovisningsinformation och den andra baseras på diskonterade kassaflöden. Styrning med hjälp av dessa modeller brukar kallas value-based management eller värdebaserad styrning.
