Holmen Paper is one of Sweden?s leading manufacturer of paper, with two Swedish production facilities located in Norrköping and Hallstavik. The European continent constitutes the company?s largest customer base which makes the company?s distribution system an integral part of the business. Historically, much of the produced paper has been transported by vessels, as vessels allow large volumes of goods and deliveries to markets which are difficult to reach with other modes of transportation.

The student union of Karlstad University is always working for the better for the students, so they can feel safe and that their time at the university is trouble free. To get the students to sign up for a membership, the organization have to inform the students about their work and the benefits that a membership brings. The problem is that the target audience is broadbecause there are all students at Karlstad University that are of different sexes, ages and nationalities, this can cause problems when the information must be adapted to each individual in order to make it interesting. The organizations various work areas have not reached the entire audience and therefore requires an information film in which all the areas can be presented in an attractive way that makes it easy for the audience to absorb the information. A strong trend in the world of information films are the so called infographics.

This paper focuses on the role freedom plays in Michel Foucault?s analyze of liberal and particularely neoliberal governmentalities. From his perspective, neoliberalism operates through the strategic production of entrepreneural subjectivity and distribution of self-governing. Here autonomy is central for governing, which raises questions about what freedom can mean at all in Foucault, and how resistance can be possible. Through Foucault?s thinking on liberal freedom, we can gain a better understanding of his philosophy on subjectivation and resistance..

This essay is an analysis of the objects made of bronze found in an excavation Västergarn parish, Gotland, in 2010, conducted by the University of Gotland. The studied material presented in this essay comes from contexts inside, as well as nearby the foundation of a medieval building which purpose is still not certain. The first purpose of this study is to present the bronze-objects found inside and nearby the foundation of house 6, and to see if there are any datable objects. There is also a discussion whether there has been any bronze-crafting in the area. The second purpose is to make a contextual analysis to see if there are any differences between the material found outside and inside of the building, and what conclusions can be made regarding the function and use of the building.

Vi började vårt projekt med grunderna till verktyg för att utveckla spel i 2d. Dessa ämnade vi färdigställa under projektet och med dem utveckla en speldemo. Eftersom vi hade gemensamma visioner om spelutveckling så bestämde vi oss för att samarbeta, och fokusera på våra respektive områden. Med att utveckla egna verktyg ville vi få en större förståelse för de grundläggande mekanismerna av en spelmotor och möjligheten att påverka dessa efter våra specifika behov. Det var också för att hålla koden fri från licensierade komponenter för att i framtiden kunna underlätta distribution..

I dagsläget har Sverige ett antal stora aktörer som dominerar den svenska dagligvaruhandeln. Ica, Coop, Axfood och Bergendahl har tillsammans 85 % av de totala marknadsandelarna i landet. Utvecklingen de senaste decennierna har varit att antalet butiker minskat och att antalet storvaruhus ökat. Detaljhandelns styrka har ökat de senaste åren och gör det svårt för mindre producenter att klara av att driva en lönsam verksamhet. Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka hur lokalproducerade livsmedelsprodukter blir en del av sortimentet i dagligvarubutiker på den lokala marknaden.

 Fortum Distribution som ingår i Fortumkoncernen ansvarar för elförsörjning till kund. Uppgiften med detta examensarbete är att skapa en applikation i syfte att visa hur man kan använda GIS (Geografiska Informationssystem) för att korta ned inställelsetiden vid strömavbrott. Den 1/1 2006 infördes en lagreglering (Ellagen, kap 10, § 9-16) om avbrottsersättning, därför vill energibolagen minska avbrottstiden så mycket som möjligt, bland annat genom att korta ned inställelsetiden. Analyser som baseras på NVDB-data, ska göras för att påvisa nyttan med GIS hos Fortum Distribution. Examensarbetet avgränsas geografiskt till Fortums Distributions koncessionsområde i Värmlands län, den del av Västra Götalands län som tidigare var Skaraborgs län samt Bergslagen. Genom att skapa en databas innehållande attribut och domäner, vägdata från NVDB samt Fortum Distributions data, läggs grunden som inställelsetiden ska beräknas från.

Purpose: When the Deepwater Horizon oilrig in the Gulf of Mexico faced disaster in late April 2010, news coverage immediately began of the disaster that would unfold. BP took the blame and its financial resources were strained as it struggled with stopping the oil leak, cleanup work as well as its PR image. While the US took many blows of the consequences to ecosystem and tourism, financial consequences swept across the world, mainly Britain, where BP had its headquarters.The event gives an excellent chance at comparing the media coverage from both the US and Britain. By studying The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times, we want to see both similarities and differences in the themes they focused on as well as seeing trends in the themes over time.Theories: The theory chapter is heavily based around the Agenda-setting theory in the media communication field.Methodology: A quantitative content analysis (QCA) of some 500 news articles in The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times from April 22 to July 15. The QCA was made to find the main theme of articles to give us data on how many articles of each theme, as well as their distribution over time.

In this thesis, two studies with different drills were included. In one of the studies two drills were compared: Väderstad Rapid and Väderstad Spirit. In the other study various drills for direct drilling were compared. The study with Rapid and Spirit was placed in two locations with different autumn tillage; one on ploughed land in Uppsala and one on cultivated land in Västerås, both with relatively high clay content. Rapid drills have a single disc coulter, while the Spirit drills have a double disc coulter. Various aspects were compared such as aggregate distribution, seed placement, emergence, crop yield and economic outcome.

The increased frequency of reported Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MRSP) is of great concern to small animal healthcare due to limited options of antimicrobial therapy. The aim of this literature study is to investigate 1) characteristics and classification of S. pseudintermedius, 2) resistance mechanisms and emergence of MRSP, 3) risk factors for selection of MRSP, and 4) clonal distribution around the world. S. pseudintermedius is a skin and mucosal commensal in healthy dogs and cats, but can cause infections, including pyoderma. Beta-lactam antibiotics inhibit bacterial growth by binding to the penicillin binding protein (PBP), a vital enzyme in the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall.

Förgiftningar hos däggdjur som druckit vatten kontaminerat med cyanotoxiner har observerats världen över, och riskerar att öka i takt med tilltagande övergödning och klimatförändringar. Denna litteraturstudie inriktar sig på mikrocystin (MC) som är det vanligaste och mest studerade cyanotoxinet. Studien avgränsar sig till akut intoxikation hos däggdjur och fokuserar på grundläggande mekanismer hos toxinet, såsom absorption, distribution, metabolism och elimination. Vidare beskrivs de toxiska mekanismerna och de akuta toxiska effekterna. MC orsakar utbredda nekroser och blödningar i levern. Den specifika distributionen till levern anses bero på det höga uttrycket av organiska anjontransportörer (OATP).

This report is the result of a master thesis carried out by the author, student at the Royal Instituteof Technology(KTH). The task was performed as a product development process at a companycalled Ameibo AB, located in Stockholm. It is the final task of the studies at the Master'sprogramme Design and Product Realization. The report is structured in a chronological order anddescribes the methods used, the implementation of these methods and a presentation of theresults given from these studies.Ameibo is a company located in Stockholm, distributing films on the internet. The aim of thismaster thesis was to investigate the possibilities of entering the market for portable devices.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att på lång sikt minska ett företags kostnader för transport från butik till slutkonsument. För att uppnå detta syfte är följande frågeställningar besvarade i examensarbetet:Vad kostar företagets transportlösning i nuläget? Vad kostar det att anlita ett externt transportföretag för att sköta alla transporter till slutkonsument, och vad kommer att förändras, jämfört med nuläget? Vad blir kostnaden om det externa transportföretaget även tillhandahåller konsolideringspunkter, alltså en terminal för uppsamling av gods, i de städer där företaget har fler än en butik, och vad kommer att förändras, jämfört med nuläget?I examensarbetet finns ett beslutsunderlag bestående av två delar. Första delen innehåller en nulägesbeskrivning över kostnaderna för den befintliga transportlösningen. Den andra delen består av två kostnadsförslag från det externa transportföretaget.

TitleSystems, Stability and Power. The Discourse of Information in Organizing Knowledge.AbstractThe aim of this Master's thesis is to inquire into the consequences of an unequal distribution of power between information discourses in the field of knowledge organisation. A deconstruction of Jennifer Rowley's and John Farrows introductory textbook Organizing Knowledge from 2000 is related to the major discourses of information in LIS. Questions posed in this study are: What meaning is ascribed to information in the material studied? Which information discourses are given a dominant position? Which are excluded? and: How does this affect the construction of the library and information science student's identity, in relation to practices of knowledge organisation? The theoretical framework is provided by Ernesto Laclau's and Chantal Mouffe's theory of discourse and combined with techniques for text analysis originating from the work of Norman Fairclough.The analysis reveals a strong domination of a cognitive discourse of information that underlines the importance of information systems for the organisation of knowledge.

The aim of the study was to understand how an elementary school interpreted and worked with the law Skollagen (SFS 2010:800) concerning special needs in school additionally in which way a neuropsychiatric diagnosis might interact with the interpretation. To answer the aim we used following research problems: How does the school define the term special needs and special resources itself? How does the school identify pupils with special needs and work with them? In which way does the neuropsychiatric diagnosis affect the interpretation of the law concerning special needs when it comes to deciding whether a pupil is in need of special recourses? Skollagen (SFS 2010:800) does not define special recourses and does not indicate how the school should use them. We were therefore interested in how an elementary school defined the term and decided to work with it. We based our study upon interviews with 6 respondents whom are central in the process of providing special resources for children in school.
