A reading campaign, Läsrörelsen The Reading Movement took place in Sweden 2000 until 2002. It was started by some adult educationists, and was supported by over 120 organizations. The aim of my study was to examine which messages the campaign wanted to mediate. As the campaign meant that reading was important for democracy, I wanted to study if there was any public debate about reading around 1900 when the democracy process had just started in Sweden. I have also studied if reading is regarded in the same way by the rulers of Sweden as it was by the campaign.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the discourse on political exclusion in the official report Demokratiutredningen. It has been my ambition to relate the analysis of the report to a critical academic discourse on political exclusion and thereby make visible hidden norms and structures which functions to exclude certain individuals and groups from political participation.My paper point out that the report establishes a strong link between democracy and participation and that it, therefore, makes a strong case for a process of democratic inclusion. Though, in my study I suggest that that there is an unawareness of the importance of norms, hegemonic conceptions and structures and that inclusion, therefore, is unlikely to take place. Furthermore, I criticize the focus on deliberative democracy in the report. With insights offered by Mouffe in her argumentation on the necessity to acknowledge the dimension of antagonism present in all societies I underline that the focus on this democratic model is problematic.My conclusion is that the analysis presented in the report is insufficient if we want to create a democratic system characterized by equality..

Aim and research questionsThe over-all aim of this study was to gain insight info how two male coaches of a specific soccer team behave in a practice environment with regards to educating the players.More specifically, the study sought to map the extent to which said behaviour matched two specific methods of learning; these being Teaching Games for Understanding (TgfU) and Enhanced Guided Discovery (EGD). Research questions: (1) Do the coaches employ the methods and guidelines, which are outlined in the educational plan provided by the soccer association? If so, what form does this application take in practice? (2) To what extent and in what ways do the coaches utilize feedback and questioning techniques in the education of players? (3) What similarities and differences in behaviour can be identified between the chosen soccer team?s two coaches?Method: The data for the study was collected through field observation. The subjects were two youth elite soccer coaches and observation of these coaches took place during five regular practice sessions on the soccer field. All data gathering and analysis were carried out using a modified version of the Coach Analysis and Intervention System (CAIS).

The purpose of this study is to examine discussions held by politicians and experts concerning the concepts Christian ethics and western humanism. I will examine the argumentation for and against the concepts Christian ethics and western humanism, which finally ended in a resolution of using these concepts in the curriculum Lpo/Lpf 94. In this study I am using a qualitative method to examine how different opinions and views are expressed in two different committee reports, initiated by the Ministry of Education, as well as protocols from the debate in the Swedish Parliament.I will attempt to elucidate the political views of these concepts, which will become an integral part of the base of values in the curriculum. Results show that the politicians are unanimous regarding the content itself, but disagree of the thought of establishing the base of values in Christian ethics. But the discussion is ambiguous because the opinion of the politicians is that the concepts, especially Christian ethics, stand for general human values.

This paper presents techniques for speeding up commonly used algorithms forbounding volume (BV) computation, such as the AABB, sphere and k-DOP. Byexploiting the possibilities of parallelismin modern processors, the result exceedsthe expected theoretical result. The methods focus on data-level-parallelism(DLP) using Intel?s SSE instructions, for operations on 4 parallel independentsingle precision floating point values, with a theoretical speed-up factor of 4 ondata throughput. Still, a speed-up between 7?9 are shown in the computation ofAABBs and k-DOPs.

Syftet med arbetet var att analysera på vilket sätt företag kommunicerar gentemot bloggare i marknadsföringssyfte, i de fall där kommunikationen misslyckats eller uppfattats som negativ av bloggarna. Genom att med hjälp av metoder för brukstextanalys titta på retoriken och argumentationen i åtta mail som skickats från företag till bloggare, drogs slutsatsen att många av mailen saknade tyngd, både retoriskt och argumentatoriskt. Många av mailen saknade tematisk koppling till den adresserade bloggens nisch och i vissa fall stred även meddelandet mot marknadsföringslagen.Fyra bloggare har varit med och bidragit med material, och dessa har även fått fylla i ett frågeformulär, för att ge sin subjektiva åsikt kring mailen de mottagit. Bloggbyrån, en PR-byrå specialiserad på kommunikation företag och bloggare emellan, utgör också en del av arbetet i form av en intervju med byråns VD (Mats Lindborg), som berättar om Bloggbyråns arbetssätt och hur de anser att kommunikationen bör se ut när företag ska kontakta och samarbeta med bloggare i ett marknadsföringssyfte..

Med denna uppsats vill jag bidra med att utveckla förståelsen kring professionella tjänsteföretags (managementkonsulter) externa kommunikation. Uppsatsen belyser hur dessa kommunicerar gentemot en ?allmänhet?. I min uppfattning finns det inget tvivel i frågan kring varför konsultföretagen väljer att marknadsföra sig gentemot ett selektivt urval av människor. Det är just marknadsföringen och de potentiella nya kunder denna genererar som konsultbolagen är ute efter.

The essay is a text centred study of ten Young Adult Novels, in which Internet plays an essential part. The structure is put into light out of used narrative techniques of how to create stories and its construction elements. I compare the ten Young Adult novels to each other. My aim is to analyze the functions of the Internet motive in the chosen novels, using different approaches, and enlighten it with concerns to the new phenomenon that Internet is in society. This report presents a study of the basic criteria for computer programmes that may be consideredadequate for aiding children with autism in their education and upbringing. I have based thisstudy on descriptions, opinions and proposals from people who deal with treatment and/orother issues concerning children with autism, as well as relevant literature.The study has been carried out in a major Swedish metropolitan municipality. The intervieweeswere civil servants from this municipality and representing different institutional endeavourson the issue of autism.I used a combination of both quantitative and qualitative techniques, as there was need for bothstandardization and qualitative variation. The main aim of the study was to seek suggestionson how computer programmes should be. That is, if they are to be considered appropriate föraiding children with autism develop their personality.The general conclusion of this study is that computer programmes, that may be consideredappropriate for the above mentioned purpose, should have certain characteristics of whichpedagogic usefulness and user suitability are of primary importance..

Tidigare forskning har uppmärksammat elevers svårigheter med bråk samt bråkräkning och omfattande felanalyser har gjorts. Dock beskriver inte dessa felanalyser bakgrunden till elevernas strategival eller de slutsatser som dragits vid uppgiftslösning. Utifrån detta är syftet med den här uppsatsen att studera de resonemang som elever för när de löser uppgifter som innefattar division av bråk. Vilka argument grundar sig val av strategi på samt de lösningar som nås? Är argumenten förankrade i bråkens inre matematiska egenskaper? Den metod som använts är kvalitativ där tre videoobservationer har gjorts av elever när de, under en labbsituation, enskilt löst uppgifter som innefattat division av bråk.

I utemiljö finns det mängder av tillfällen att utöva matematik på ett varierat och lekfullt sätt. Dessutom lämpar utemiljön sig mycket bra för kommunikation och argumentation, något som är viktigt för barnens utveckling av sin matematiska begreppsförståelse. Studiens syfte är att synliggöra hur några pedagoger på förskola använder utomhusmiljö för att utveckla barnen förståelse av olika matematiska begrepp. Litteraturen innefattar matematiklärande i förskola, utveckling och lärande, lek och lärande, pedagogernas roll och vad erbjuder utemiljö? Till den empiriska delen av studien valdes två kvalitativa metoder, som innefattar kvalitativa intervjuer med fem förskolepedagoger och kvalitativa observationer av förskolebarn respektive pedagoger i utemiljö. I resultatdelen framkommer att pedagogerna är överens om att det i utemiljö finns många möjligheter som stimulerar barns matematiska lärande. Det har också visat sig att pedagogerna anser att matematiklärande är något som kommer omedvetet och den ingår i alla vardagssituationer.

The aim of this study is to find out in which way the education about climate in school is taught and how the students experience the world situation today. There are various theories about the greenhouse effect and its origin and these theories should be addressed to ensure that students get a broader understanding of how climate change occurs. This includes the natural phenomena and also the human impact on climate change. Students in school are a source of concern that only human are the cause of global warming, and know little or almost nothing about the natural phenomena of global warming.  I will mention what has emphasized in the national steering documents in the case of environmental education at school.I have used a qualitative method, where interviews and document analysis were used as techniques. In January of 2014 a newly founded company held a press conference in central Stockholm. The purpose of the conference was to inform about Lexbase, the largest database on the Internet with legal information about the Swedish general public. The purpose of this Masters thesis is to make an outline of different methods and theories within the field of bibliometrics and critically review their strengths and weaknesses. The number of empirical studies that are based on bibliometric methods and theories are numerous and where principally excluded, but some empirical studies were included as part of the argumentation for and against different methods and theories.
