Title: Belting in teaching. A study of views and teaching-procedure.The purpose of this study is to map how the singing teachers at a Swedish college of music describe and implement the vocal technique 'belting' in their curriculum. This study is based on watching and interviewing six different teachers. The theoretical part deals with voice physiology and four different theories surrounding belting. The results show that the descriptions of belting vary between teachers and experts alike.

På vilket sätt kan konst var ett sätt att locka människor till att besöka naturen? Kring denna fråga, sett ur ett landskapsarkitektperspektiv, kretsar det här examensarbetet. Uppsatsen inleds med en litteraturstudie där avsikten är att få en djupare förståelse om begrepp såsom landskapsarkitektur, konst, natur och Land Art. Även vårt behov av naturen och teorier om att fånga platsens själ behandlas. Härpå följer intervjuer med personer som genom sin yrkesroll och erfarenheter är kopplade till mötet mellan konst och natur.

När man arbetar med gröna miljöer ställs man ibland inför problematiska platser där ingenting verkar överleva. Ett exempel är platser med skuggiga och torra ståndorter. Växter är beroende av solljus och vatten för att leva således kan det vara svårt att hålla dessa platser grönskande. Därför är det spännande att söka svar på vilka växter som kan trivas och ge en vital grönska för skuggiga och torra ståndorter.Studiens frågeställning lyder: Vilka växter kan ge vital grönska i torra och skuggiga ståndorter i urban miljö? Den kompletteras med underfrågan: Bör man göra något särskilt i anläggningsskedet av en skuggig och torr ståndort för att öka möjligheterna för en vital grönska? Svar på varför vissa växter är bättre lämpade för vissa ståndorter har sökts genom litteratur kring biologi, växtfysiologi, växter och stresshantering samt trädgårdslitteratur.

Café Flickorna Lundgren ligger vid fiskebyn Skäret, mellan Mölle och Jonstorp i Höganäs kommun. Hit har det kommit gäster varje sommar för att fika en stund i den blommande trädgården. År 1938 öppnade familjen Lundgren ett café i den gamla stugan från 1700-talet. Då hade fastigheten varit sommarstuga för lantbrukaren Alexander Lundgren och hans familj; hustrun Anna och döttrarna, Anna, Greta, Ebba, Rut, Brittmarie, Marta och Ella under tio år.Sommarcaféet öppnade under tid när funktionalismen fått sitt fäste i Sverige. Blåsten i våra bostads- och grönområden i de skånska slättområdena har länge fyllt mina tankar och jag tycker att det borde läggas ner mer resurser på att skapa lä. I jordbruksområdena får vinden fritt spelrum över slätten och i staden skapas turbulens och förstärkta vindar på grund av trånga passager mellan höga hus. Syftet med arbetet har varit att fördjupa mig i ämnet läplanteringar och utarbeta ett konkret förslag till en jordbruksfastighets park och trädgård. I litteraturstudien har jag gjort en växtsammanställning i form av en tabell. Syftet med tabellen är att den ska vara till hjälp vid växtval till en läplantering. Platsen jag har arbetat fram ett förslag till heter Vesum 2 och består av ett jordbruk placerat i slättlandskapet söder om Lund i sydvästra Skåne. På platsen har de flesta träd försvunnit under de två senaste decennierna på grund av almsjukan då trädbeståndet till största del utgjordes av almar.

English Title: "The unquestionable tuition of music theory". During my years as a musician and a musical student, I have encountered many prejudices when it comes to views on music played by ear and the routines and discourses belonging to its creation and performance. I have experienced that there is a concealed hierarchical view on different styles of music, particularly amongst those educators and musicians who are highly educated in musicology. The Afro-American tradition, has historically been a part of the musical education at university level for much shorter a period than that of the classical tradition. In my opinion, the formulation of the music theory lessons is still strongly influenced by the classical tradition.

I oktober 2006 presenterade jag för Utbildnings- och kulturförvaltningen i Markaryd idén att samla sångintresserade i Markaryds kommun till en projektkör för att uppföra ett större körverk med orkester. Målen med projektet var att stimulera till ökad sång- och körverksamhet i skola och kommun och genom denna aktivitet, dels skapa närkontakt med klassisk musik, dels att bygga broar mellan olika grupperingar i kommunen. Då man år 2007 firade Markaryds kommun 700 år, Markaryds kyrka 150 år och Linné 300 år tillkom aspekten att projektkören skulle kunna bidra med en konsert som avslutning på jubileumsåret. Min forskningsfråga i detta arbete är: På vilket eller vilka sätt har projektets målsättningar uppnåtts? Skriftliga utvärderingar med de deltagande körsångarna, reaktioner från kommunen, press och allmänheten samt en DVD dokumentation utav konserten ligger till grund för min resultatdiskussion.

Summary The estate of Johannishus is situated in the south of Sweden and in the province of Blekinge, about 8 kilometres from the city of Ronneby. The main building together with the park represents the province´s only example of a well preserved estate environment from the early 1800th Century, and was declared as a historic monument in 1982 because of its unique role in the province. Johannishus Park has during 300 years developed in close relation to the main building, the landscape and the surrounding infrastructure. Each century and owner has had an influence on the park, which has resulted in an interesting visible cross-section of 300 years of Swedish garden history. Most noticeable today are the traces from late 19th Century, but in its oldest parts the park contains structures from the early 18th Century.

Radioteatern har utgjort en stor del av Ingmar Bergmans skapande under hela hans mer än 60-åriga karriär. Han har sedan tidigt arbetat parallellt med teater, film och radioteater och hans plan var även att avsluta hela sin verksamhet i detta medium.Bergmans radioteaterarbete har utgjort ett alldels eget skapande med egna regler, förutsättningar och möjligheter. Det täcks inte in av film- eller teaterforskningen utan står på egna ben. Om detta vittnar bland annat det faktum att Bergman i radio arbetar med helt andra dramer och dramatiker än han gör på teaterscenen. Det som lämpar sig för det ena mediet lämpar sig kanske inte alls för det andra och när han arbetar med dramer av t.ex.

Ett sätt att hantera förändringar är genom att fokusera på processer (Ljungberg och Larsson, 2001). Mind the gap is a project about the many opportunities the public space has in the contemporary city. What you have in front of you is the result of this project. As society constantly changes, new and different needs arise in the city and it is necessary that architects and planners understand and adapt to these changes. They have to be able to develop new ways of thinking and to challenge established perceptions of what the public space is and should be. This means being able to see that the public space could be different and to recognize the potentials for it to change. This project examines the underlying ideals of urbanism and investigates the potentials of the City when shaped by these ideals.

Title: Experiential learning in the upper secondary school ? a study of film as a method in music education. Today the school competes foremost with TV and the computer regarding the spreading of knowledge. I believe that it is of great importance for the school to move with the developments of society in order to, to a greater extent, reach and motivate pupils. My degree thesis is about how you, as a teacher, can use experiential learning in music teaching in the upper secondary school.

Title: "Everybody is talking about reception but what do they really mean?" - Teacher trainers' experience of work with aesthetic communication in perspective of a receiver with a special attention to the reception of music. The purpose of this thesis is to study the notion of reception among a group of teachers at the department of education at Malmö University. Our principal aim is to illuminate reception in an educational context as well as experiences of the teachers´ work with aesthetic communication in perspective of a receiver within the main subject KME (Culture Media Aesthetics). We are paying special attention to the reception of music since this is a part of our profession.

Stureholm Manor and garden is a relatively young farming unit on clay soil in the north western part of Skåne, a province in Southern Sweden. Since the middle of the 19th century the landscape has been actively cultivated and has been transformed from oak forrest into farmingland of high efficiency. The industrial era during the 19th and 20th centuries meant new posssibilites for cultivation of these clay soils. With equipment like steam ploughs and the possibility to obtain fertilizers, the harvest increased considerably. This increased prosperity provided estate Stureholm with a beatuiful corps de logi, a manor. The trends prevailing in Europe around the turn of the century 1800-1900 against the growing industrialism, was turned into a artisan movement known as Arts and Craft. The Swedish followers idealized our Swedish history and they took the turn of a national romantic movement that later turned into neoclassicism.
