The purpose of this thesis is to examine the political ambitions regarding culture inVärmland, and the situation for artists living on the countryside in Värmland. This meansthat the conditions surronding the artists situation will be looked upon. I have chosen thepolitical document Kulturplanen, created by Region Värmland, as my guideline to whatkind of political view there is on art and cultures role in the region. Furthermore, I havechosen Pierre Bourdieu`s theory about art as a field controlled by and under the influenceof different rules within the filed itself and what or whom has the power to act and be apart of the filed. I also use interviews as my method for this study.

This report describes a Bachelor thesis work in which a robotised laser welding cell has been modelled and simulated for the purpose of making a presentation movie. The report shows that the work has been concentrated on making the movie from the modelling phase through the recording of the movie and ending up with the editing of the final presentation movie. A pre-study was made prior the Bachelor thesis work. In the pre-study a literature study was conducted about measurement and calibration of a welding cell. Measurement of almost all equipment in the entire cell was also conducted in the pre-study.

Min analys av verket Listening har fått mig uppmärksam på det jag kallar "vita fältet" i Peter Fries konstverksamhet. Detta är för mig ett abstrakt fält som förekommer allt mer uteslutande i alla Fries verk från 1990-talet fram till idag. Betydelsen av det "vita fältets" allt mer dominerande plats i verket har i min mening förändrat betydelsen av Fries verk som en helhet, dock på olika sätt för olika betraktare under de olika tider de har förekommit. Fries verk har ofta analyserats genom referenser till landskapsmåleri från olika tidsepoker under konsthistorien.Jag vill med min undersökning av detta abstrakta fält visa hur det har tagits upp av konstkritiker och skribenter, men även förmedla en syn på Fries konst vilken inte har landskapsmåleriet som utgångspunkt..

Title: Music and adult identity: A study of how students at Malmö Academy of Music look upon their identity from a musical point of view. This study is about adults and how they look upon their identity from a music perspective. I have interviewed four students between 26 to 29 years old at the Malmö Academy of Music. The purpose with my study is to examine how music has affected the identity of the students as adults and to see if their identity still is affected by music. The interviews have then been analyzed and compared with existing research in this matter.

According to tradition transcribed music is an important part of the repertoar for the classical guitar. Baroque music as well as compositions from the Spanish national romantic era are the two most important sources for transcriptions. My research is aimed at finding answers concerning the relevance of transcribing as well as playing different styles of music on the guitar. Are there any basic rules how these transcriptions should be made? I have chosen to take a closer look at the music of J S Bach as a representative of the baroque period because of the great legacy of his music being played on guitar and lute.

Sara Lidman?s second novel Hjortronlandet (1955) unfolds in the north of Sweden in the early 20th century. It describes the progress of modernity and the conflicting interests of an old local culture and a new more ?civilised? one. The two cultures are constituted by different value systems and in the novel they are represented by two neighbour communities.

I den här uppsatsen i ämnet bildpedagogik förenas konst, natur och frågan om hållbar utveckling. Uppsatsens utgångspunkt är att miljöfrågor är aktuella i vår tid. Barn som växer upp idag lever främst i urbana miljöer med liten naturkontakt. I uppsatsen beskrivs att naturkontakten tycks kunna ha betydelse för miljöengagemang. Genom intervjuer med forskare, konstnärer och lärare undersöks frågan om konstbaserat lärande tillsammans med fördjupad naturkontakt kan lyfta miljöfrågor.

I dagens samhälle har den tekniska utvecklingen gått snabbt framåt. Det krävs i stort sett i de flesta yrken att man har en god datorvana. Som blivande bildlärare vill jag se hur man kan arbeta med att föra in datorn i bildämnet. Att arbeta med datorstödd undervisning i bildämnet är något som både kursplan och läroplan förespråkar. Mot bakgrund av detta har jag intervjuat tre stycken lärare på olika skolor som berättar om hur de gör för att arbeta med datorn i sin undervisning.

Vid filminspelning används ofta gröna eller blå skärmar som en del av en bakgrund som förberedelse för infogning av visuella effekter vid postproduktion. Dessa enhetligt färgade ytor kan även omfatta hela scener. Inom digital kompositing används olika element för att ersätta dessa områden med önskat innehåll som integreras med det som filmats. En form av sådant material är den digitala mattepaintingen. Till skillnad från konceptdesign är resultatet inte endast en idé eller ett verktyg utan presenteras i det slutliga klippet.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ställa tre bildtolknikngssätt, det presskritiska, det essäistiska och det semiotiska enligt Peirce, vid sidan av varandra för att förtydliga och därmed också öka bildförståelsen. This thesis is about informal seatings, those which are planned to merge into the city core environment and to supply a flexible public space. The thesis discusses how a diverse range of elements could result in different functions and social meanings. These are illustrated with visual examples and conceptual drawings. The position of the seating in a small public place is important, as well as its location in the city. Furthermore, the detail design of the seating, such as the form and dimensions have to be considered in order to create an informal seating appropriate for the user. This leads to the broad scope of this thesis which deals with the small scale - how the seatings can create a good environment in a small place; and the big scale - how a site can influence the city. This thesis suggests the physical design of some informal seatings and also investigates how these seatings can strengthen the place through their function and how they relate to their surroundings.

The structure of the Swedish public library field has been evolving during the last decades. The traditional mission of educating the citizens to become responsible, democratic and knowledgeable members of society has in a way led to the integration between public and school libraries. Lately new co-operational models have been under debate and a sense of resistance has arisen because of the economical and market influences. In parallel with closure of library branches new libraries have evolved in malls and wash houses and some with self-service with no use of librarians. This work shows how co-operation in rural areas finds the common goals for the people living there who are concerned about keeping the service needed including the public library and thus using existing means and crossing borders of commercial thinking.

Denna studie avser att skapa förståelse för olika uppfattningar om innebörden av det handgjorda och hur handen kontra maskinen har betydelse i hantverkares verksamhet. Med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med sex hantverkare baserade i Östergötland är det möjligt att få en inblick i hur hantverkarna tänker kring besluten de tar och varför de gör som de gör. Genom att visa hur hantverket har sett ut genom tiderna är det möjligt att koppla det till hur det ser ut idag, i informanternas verksamhet. Den teoretiska förståelsen och tidigare forskningen belyser Arts and craftsrörelsen samt Hemslöjdsrörelsen som yrkade för det handgjorda arbetet, medan Bauhausskolan gömde den mänskliga handens avtryck. Den tekniska utvecklingen visar sig även ha påverkan på hantverkets innebörd på grund av det utbredda användandet av datorer. Resultatet av intervjuerna visar att det handgjorda inte spelar så stor roll för informanternas kunder, utom när det i vissa fall ger ett mervärde till produkten. Att arbeta med händerna ses istället som viktigt på ett personligt plan där utveckling i form av bättre teknisk skicklighet är centralt.

 The number of hidden refugees in Sweden is estimated to be at least 15,000. The law, which only allows this group a very limited access to health care, can be considered to clash with the human rights and the ethical codes related to the health care professionals.The aim of the study was to examine how the personnel in public health care may experience treating hidden refugees and which ethical conflicts that may be connected to this. The study, which is of a qualitative descriptive design, is based on eight semi-structured interviews. The interviewees were trained nurses and mid-wives in an emergency room, a maternity ward and a health care centre for asylum seekers.The experience of treating hidden refugees amongst the informants was limited. The study proved that the knowledge of laws and guidelines regarding hidden refugees amongst the interviewed health care personnel was poor.

The aim of this study was to examine how the new established phenomenon of ?Internet drugs? causes challenges to organizations, both individually and in relation to collaboration. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with representatives from three organizations - one youth police unit, one medical addiction centre and four units working within social services. The theoretical approach that was used is theory about human service organizations, theory about collaboration and new institutional organizational theory. A conclusion is that the current drug classification is problematic and mainly challenging for the organizations that focus on prevention work and early interventions.
