This paper examines women's positions in the music industry. By quantitativelyinvestigate ten major companies on the swedish music market, the authors have beenable to mapp positions that are dominated by women and as well as men. The essaydiscusses several theories of both gender in organizations and gender in society inorder to analyze the quantitative results.The aim of the paper is to highlight the current segregation of careers in the musicindustry as well as to lay a foundation for further research on why it is segregated.Clear graphs shows the gender distribution between women and men in business butalso the distribution of gender in occupations / positions in similar companies. In theanalysis the authors reflects on the results using relevant gender theories. In theconclusion, the authors explain the result generated by the analysis and illustrates theprevailing segregation that exists in the music industry.This paper has concluded that a seemingly even distribution between men andwomen in business organisations can sometimes be misleading.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka musikens roll och betydelse inom event marketing. Idag är event marketing ett vedertaget och accepterat marknadsföringsverktyg och en effektiv väg att nå konsumenter. För att föstå hur hur företag inom denna sektor använder sig av musik för att påverka människor och hur strategiska val rörande musiken utförs gjordes en fallstudie på tre olika företag inom event marketing industrin. Studien visade att musik är en betydelsefull beståndsdel inom event marketing för sin förmåga att påverka och skapa stämmninglägen samt att valet av genre och artist har en stor inverkan på evenemangets image och att eftertänksamhet måste ingå vid dessa val..

The aim of the study is to investigate attitudes about rapists and to determine whether it is felt that they need treatment, imprisonment or a combination of the two. The study examines differences in attitudes between two different educational groups. The first group of students is comprised of those studying on programs that lead to careers working with people, whilst the other contains students who will work in business administration. The investigation also includes views on which punishment alternative the informants believed to be the most appropriate. The same differences are also investigated between gender and age.

My aim in this case study has been to create a method for creature design to test this method in a production and evaluate the results. To achieve this I studied and analyzed the methods of three concept artists and illustrators named James Gurney, Neville Page and Iain McCaig. From the analysis of these artist´s methods, combined with my own personal experience, a new method was formed. To test this method a creature was designed based on directives given by a game design group in the process of creating a table top role playing game in a fictitious world. These directives where given for the creature´s role and its living conditions.

When I was fifteen I decided that I wanted to become a blacksmith. At the time of my decision I had been obsessed with fantasy for several years. I came to the conclusion that if I could not live in a fantasy world then at least I would make bits and pieces from it. That became the entry point of my fascination for material and techniques. I started with blacksmithing since it had an aura of magic or mystique in the material and in the making process.

Det är således lättare att möjliggöra lyssnande men det behöver inte betyda att någon lyssnar. Konkurrensen har ökat och skivbolag tar numera färre risker med nya artister. Därmed behöver okända artister på egen hand ta sig till en uppmärksammad nivå. Forskningsfråga:Vad krävs idag av en artist för att uppmärksammas av publik, media och branschfolk i Sverige? Syfte:Syftet med denna uppsats är att få en ökad förståelse för hur projekt Talangcoaching på bästa sätt ska coacha sina Talanger så att de uppmärksammas av publik, bransch och media i Sverige.

Bristen av kvinnor på de högre positionerna inom ICA som i övrigt är en kvinnodominerad bransch utgör intresseområdet för denna uppsats. Vi vill med uppsatsen undersöka och belysa de erfarenheter som kvinnor på olika positioner inom organisationen har gällande deras möjligheter till karriär. Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ intervjustudie med en fenomenologisk teoretisk ansats som även stödjs av andra teorier gällande organisation och kön. Empirin som studiens resultat bygger på kommer från intervjuer med sju kvinnor på olika nivåer inom ICA. Resultatet i sin tur presenteras utifrån fem olika teman vilka belyser kvinnornas upplevelser gällande: Uppfattningar om organisationen, Jämställdhet, Rekrytering, Kompetensutveckling och karriär samt Hinder och möjligheter till karriär.

The purpose of ?The Lake? was to create an experience with music and visuals working with no budget.A personal purpose was that I wanted to explore new areas in design, like scenography, and combine them with my previous knowledge and skills. My method was to keep my hands busy at all times and use new materials. I also wanted to work with other creators and learn from their methods. Together with a musician I created the music and the concept for the project.

I grunden anses att artisten ska ansvara för de kreativa delarna och managern för de affärsmässiga delarna av artistskapet.

AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to analyse and interpret artist Hans Hedberg?s monumental, ceramic reliefs in Sweden and France. Hedberg is internationally famous for his ceramic fruits and eggs in different glaces and formats. A mostly unknown side of his artistic production is that he produced about 50 ceramic reliefs during the 1950s and up to the 1970s in public buildings. Hedberg was one of very few foreign artists in France, who, during a long period of time, produced monumental, public reliefs for the French state.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to illuminate and collect existing research from the beginning of the 21 st century about nurses work environment in institutional and elderly care in Sweden.A literature review was made by analyzing eleven scientific articles. The result showed mainly information about nurses work load. The information dealt with high work demands, too much responsibility, shortage of staff, time press and stress. Furthermore nurses reported a lack of co-operation between staff and management. An important part in nurses? work was appreciation from colleagues, management, patients and relatives.

The text discusses the folk-tale princess as a good role model for both children and adults, from a feminist debate concerning this issue. Also an iconographic study, it compares women in folk-tale illustrations with women represented in fin-de-Siècle art concentrating on the Great mother goddess and the femme fatale, finding similarities between folk-tale illustrations and other art. Besides that, the text look at the interest for Swedish folk-tales in the 1890´s, the connection between women as illustrators of children?s books and ideas about nature and womanhood that might have had influence on the Swedish artist Elsa Beskow at the time..

This project is a study in how to represent the Swedish magician and variety artist Carl-Einar Häckner in a web-based environment. With a starting point focusing on illustration I wanted to produce a web environment that would function as a prototype for a webpage. My personal aim was to explore and gain new experiences from working in a digital interactive environment. I wanted to use animation and illustration to create an atmosphere and communicate emotions, and in the end find out a way of how to integrate that with a more text based content. Uppsala universitet: Institutionen för musikvetenskap, uppsats för 60 p, 2007.The aim of this essay is to, with starting point in the Garcia- and Lamperti-schools, describe the voice ideals of the 19th century, and how it may have sounded. To exemplify the last-mentioned I have studied the voices of the three singers Jenny Lind,  Christina Nilsson and Signe Hebbe (there are no recordings of any of them).The essay contains two major parts. In the first I describe the technique of the Garcia- and Lamperti-schools and their views on registers, vibrato and messa di voce, ending with a summarizing analysis of the 19th century vocal ideals.

This essay examines the relationships between the different elements in Lisa Jonasson?s collage Existentiell Progg #6 and her very detailed technique. The essay has as its aims to understand and analyze both the details and the wholeness of the artwork and to try to put the collage in an art historical context. The thesis finds that Existentiell Progg #6 has a connection to the imagery of Africa and other collage artist such as Hannah Höch and Nancy Spero, which also gives the paper a perspective of feminism in the arts. The paper continues to create an understanding for the collage work by putting it in to Theodor Adorno?s theories about nature, the human being and the animal kingdom.
