Syftet med vår studie var att beskriva vilken betydelse skönlitteraturen har för läs- och skrivinlärningen. Vi har studerat läs- och skrivinlärningsmetoden "whole language". Denna praktiseras på Nya Zeelands skola och Manhattan New School. "Listiga räven"-projektet har även studerats då metoden användes där. Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär och resultatet baseras på litteraturstudier samt kvalitativa intervjuer.

This thesis concerns to investigate renovations of existing buildings aiming at enabling energy efficiency, from a conservation and restoration perspective. This includes performing case studies of three projects in the Gothenburg area where renovations has been done and an analysis of directives raised by the EU and later implemented by the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, Boverket. In addition to these, regulations enforced by the Swedish law, related to the topic, have been considered.The investigated projects in this case were the housing cooperative Välten in Brämaregården, the Solar Buildings in Järnbrott and Gårdsten as well as Katjas Gata 119 at Backa Röd. In order to measure and compare the results of these projects a comparison between the pre- and post-restoration energy consumption have been performed. To capture additional perspectives the grading system Operation Kungsörn has been applied.Regarding the comparison of energy consumption the renovation of Katjas Gata 119 was found preferable but showed in my view lacking attention to the cultural heritage of the area.

During the period of this project I have programed a web site in php4, and also built the database in MySQL. The purpose with the projekt is to create a common web site for the various activities in the different churches located in the area of Örnsköldsvik. The present study examines the demolition of a house on Hammarkulletorget in 1996 and the discourse of Hammarkullen, Gothenburg(Sweden), drawn from the perspective of historicization [?historisering?]. I have examined how the past played role inpresentations of Hammarkullen and how the past affected the decision to demolish a house. By examining which role the neighbourhood?spast time played in the perception of the neighbourhood, the thesis aims at providing a better understanding of howthe past can influence and legitimize major changes in the urban environment.In the early 1980s the image of Hammarkullen as a victim of negative publicity is established and this reputation lives beyond thesimplistic and negative descriptions themselfs.

Utformningen bygger p? att ers?tta tillufts?ppningar i markplan med r?kgasluckor i tak med hj?lp av brandteknisk installation i form av r?kgardin. Syftet med arbetet har varit att g?ra en j?mf?relse mellan denna hypotetiska utformning och traditionell brandgasventilation f?r att kunna utv?rdera om samma effekt kan uppn?s med de olika metoderna.

Att lösa partiella differentialekvationer, PDE, med hjälp av numeriska metoder harblivit vitalt det senaste århundradet. Det finns flera metoder tillgängliga och latticeBoltzmanns metod, LBM, har visat sig vara ett kraftfullt verktyg för att lösa Navier-Stokes, N-S ekvation. Metoden är beräkningsmässigt effektiv i jämförelse med andranumeriska metoder under rätt förhållanden. Mängden datorkraft som behövs för attlösa en PDE är viktig och detta gör LBM intressant just på grund av dess beräkningseffektivitet.En studie om möjligheterna att använda LBM till att lösa andra sorters PDEän N-S ekvation är spännande och utbildande. I detta arbete tar vi reda på om LBMkan användas till att lösa och modellera diffusionsekvationen, och om fallet är sådantvalidera att resultatet är tillräckligt korrekt.

I februari 2007 beslutade Finansinspektionen att implementera Basel II:s rekommendationer och regleringar som resulterade i införandet av ett kapitalkrav för operativ risk. Internmätningsmetoden är den mest sofistikerade metoden för att beräkna ett kapitalkrav och utgår ifrån faktiska operativa förluster och ämnar att, utifrån dessa, modellera de risker som uppstår i samband med den operativa verksamheten. För att Finansinspektionen ska godkänna en internmätningsmetod kräver de att den inkluderar både intern och extern förlustdata. Vid användande av extern förlustdata är det viktigt att inse att en extern förlust inte är direkt representativ för en annan bank än den där den inträffade. Banker försöker därför ta fram metoder för att kunna skala externa förluster i ett försök att göra dem representativa för sin egen verksamhet.Syftet med denna studie är att utveckla och testa en metod för skalning av extern förlustdata.Teorierna kring skalning bygger idag till stor del på att låta bankspecifika variabler så som omsättning, antal anställda och geografisk placering vara förklarande för storleken av förluster hos olika banker.

Olsson?s garden came about when Mr Carl Oscar Olsson acquired a piece of land in Landalabergen in the beginning of the 1930's and at that time he started his industrious work of uniting much of Sweden's flora in his garden. Since the very beginning Olsson's garden has played a lot of different rolls in a variety of situations and meant different things for different people. Today one can find traces from Mr Olsson's life and deeds in the garden.

No previous study has, to the author?s knowledge, clinically evaluated the plantar foot pressure with different full-length wedges in normal persons.PurposeThe purpose was to evaluate the plantar pressure with different degrees of full-length wedges in normal persons.MethodTwenty persons with normal feet have participated in this single blind study. Wedges were produced clinically in four different shapes, 3° valgus, 0° flat, 3° varus och 6° varus.

By continuously focusing on improving their ability to manage risks they?ve been able to successfully avoid catastrophes in environments where normal accidents can be expected due to complexity and risk factors.The aim of the thesis is to improve the risk management at Apotekens Service by applying theories from HRO and safety culture. In July 2009, following the re-regulation of the Swedish pharmacy market, Apotekens Service AB was appointed national pharmacy infrastructure supplier for the Swedish health care system.

Undersökningens syfte har varit att utveckla och pröva en metod som vi valt att kalla Att dansa historia. Hur ämnet historia kan undervisas med dans som metod. Därmed vill vi skapa kunskap om hur en sådan undervisning med hjälp av dans kan se ut.Undersökningen har utförts i två delar. Den första delen med nämnd metod Att dansa historia, det vill säga dansade historialektioner. Andra delen var en intervjustudie där kunskapsutveckling genom metoden diskuterades med elever och lärare.

This work consists of a survey and risk classification of eleven metal industries including foundries, finishers and engineering industries in two industrial areas in Mora. The study follows a method called MIFO (Method of Surveying Contaminated Sites) composed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. In the method assessments of the degree of hazard posed by the pollutants, the level of pollution, the conditions of dispersal, sensitivity and the degree to which the area is worthy to protect are made for each contaminated site (object). The assessment classify the objects into four risk classes in which risk class 1 denotes a very large risk, 2 large risk, 3 moderate risk and risk class 4 little risk. The work of surveying using MIFO is divided into two phases.

Delaktigheten på den öppna arbetsmarknaden är låg för personer med psykisk funktionsnedsättning. Metoden Supported employment (SE) har visat sig vara framgångsrik i att hjälpa denna målgrupp att nå, få och behålla ett arbete på den reguljära arbetsmarknaden. Fokus har i forskning riktats mot metodens effektivitet men denna studie inriktar sig på arbetskonsulentens stöd inom SE och syftet i studien är att utforska vad dennes stöd betyder för deltagaren i metoden. Kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med tre deltagare och en gruppintervju med tre arbetskonsulenter. Det skräddarsydda, det instrumentella och det emotionella stödet samverkar och leder till empowerment för två deltagare, som har nått en praktikplats där de trivs och kommer till sin rätt.

The level of neonate mortality in a free ranging fallow deer (Dama dama) population at the Koberg estate in south western Sweden was investigated using radio-tracking techniques. During this study a total of 36 fawns (17 ?, 19 ?) were captured and marked with vhf or gps radio collars; 12 fawns in 2008 and 24 fawns in 2009. The neonate mortality calculated by the Kaplan-Meier method was 23.6 % and the mortality caused by predation was low, since only 1 of 8 non-surviving fawns died from predation by red fox (Vulpes vulpes).
