This thesis is a part of the project "Sustainable harvesting and storage of sugar beets, more sugar to practice". The work has included a large part of practical experimental work with weight measurement, graduation and storage planning. The aim of the project is to be able to see whether the cultivars react differently in different storage conditions. The project has included storage under controlled conditions to give as accurate results as possible. To be able to mimic the farmers own preconditions the samples was harvested with a conventional Holmer.This project has two parts, one concerning the nature, time and temperature on storage where a number of different cultivars where investigated during three different recording times, two different temperatures and controlled in a controlled environment.

Over the last couple of years, growers, researchers, advisors and plant protection companies have noticed increasing problems with tortricids in Swedish apple orchards. Since the insecticide Gusathion (azinphosmethyl) has been banned (end of 2008; KemI 2008), a further increase of tortricid populations can be expected. In order to get a picture of species composition and population densities among the tortricids, an inventory of seven species, Adoxophyes orana, Archips podana, Archips rosana, Cydia pomonella, Hedya nubiferana, Pandemis heparana and Spilonota ocellana was made in 11 orchards in southern Sweden (Skåne) in 2008. Population densities were estimated by bud sampling (April 20-25), pheromone trapping (May 5-September 22) and assessment of fruit damage (September 9-12). In all orchards A.

Problemet är det att det är oklart exakt hur detta påverkar konsumenternas uppfattning om varumärket och vilka faktorer som spelar roll. Denna uppsats behandlar prestigens påverkan på konsumenternas uppfattning av varumärket vid en vertikal brand extension för företag inom den högteknologiska sektorn.Anledningen bakom att vi har begränsat oss till den högteknologiska sektorn är att det saknas empiriska undersökningar som behandlat denna bransch. All föregående datainsamling och analysering har tidigare behandlat för många branscher samtidigt vilket lett till ett resultat som inte nödvändigtvis är rättvisande för den högteknologiska.

Title: Jaunty Vaasa-lads and lazy boys ? a study of masculinity and patriotism in the Civil Guard in Vaasa in relation to the Finnish Civil War of 1918.This paper deals with the subject of expressions of masculinity in relation to patriotism and nationalism as a part of the mobilisation of the so called white side in the Finnish Civil War of 1918. With regards to how this was expressed in the local Civil Guard in the town of Vaasa. The focus   lies on the construction of an ideal masculinity within this specific Civil Guard as expressed            in the Guards own documents of different varieties, during the events in the spring of 1918 and at the one year anniversary of its outbreak. Växtförädlingen av jordgubbar i Sverige började på 1920-talet och då började sorter tas fram som skulle passa till det Svenska klimatet. Det svenska klimatet innebär långa dagar och svala nätter. Detta sägs ge upphov till söta och goda jordgubbar. Det finns dock många egenskaper som påverkar den slutliga smaken på bäret. Smaken av jordgubbe som upplevs vid förtäring av bäret påverkas av många faktorer. Hur bäret kommer smaka grundas redan vid sortvalet innan plantering.

Syftet var att utva?rdera hur det internetbaserade sto?dsystemet COMMIT fungerade som komplement till KBT face-to-face fo?r personer med mild till ma?ttlig a?ngest och depression. Internetportalen COMMIT med funktioner anpassade fo?r att sto?dja behandling under och mellan samtal baserades pa? kunskap och teknik fra?n internetbehandlingsforskning.Totalt 15 klienter och 8 behandlare deltog i studien och behandlingarna pa?gick i a?tta till nio veckor. Under samtalen anva?ndes surfplatta (iPad 2, Apple) fo?r a?tkomst till COMMIT och mellan samtalen anva?nde klienter och behandlare dator med internetuppkoppling.

Biblioteken som plats för teknik är något som diskuteras och förändras. Den teknik som här undersöks är surfplattor ochde bibliotek som undersökts närmre är biblioteket Miini (målgrupp 0-5 år) och biblioteket Dynamo (målgrupp 15-25 år)i Göteborg. Frågeställningen lyder: Hur påverkar bibliotekariers attityder till ny teknik deras kunskaper ochtillgängliggörande av teknik på bibliotek? Hur går surfplatteverksamheten och bibliotekariernas kunskaper kringsurfplattor att utvecklas?Studiens resultat visar att attityden till surfplattan inte nödvändigtvis påverkar bibliotekens tillgängliggörande avteknik. Däremot finns det ett behov hos bibliotekarier att ha en gemensam strategi vad gäller syftet med surfplattan ochvad den ska användas till.

Att börja använda telefoner och surfplattor för att veta om man är frisk eller inte har precis börjat, ett exempel på detta är att Apple i sitt senaste ios har släppt appen ?Hälsa? där man har stegräknare, pulsmätare och mycket mer.Man vill alltså kunna mäta olika saker i kroppen utan att behöva gå till sjukhuset, detta medför att de saker man mäter med ska vara batteridrivna och små.Denna rapport beskriver ett examensarbete där vi undersöker om vi kan bygga en blodflödesmätarprototyp, den ska vara billig, batteridriven och liten, den ska även kunna skicka informationen trådlöst via protokollet NFC.Vi fick givet att vi skulle använda oss av en Raspberry Pi, detta för att hålla priset nere, och för att läsa av information så skulle vi använda oss av Androidtelefoner/tablets med NFC, för att uppmå resultatet skulle vi programmera i C på Raspberryn för att ta hand om informationen och göra en app i Java för telefonen/tableten som kan läsa av Raspberryn och ta reda på informationen och visa den på ett representativt sätt.Resultatet blev att vi inte hann realisera blodflödesmätningen då vi sent i projektet insåg att ADC:n vi hade till Raspberryn inte klarade av att styra blodflödesproben.Vi fick då byta ut proben mot en IRavståndssensor, detta för att visa att vi kan ta in information till ADC:n och skicka den till telefonen/tableten via NFC.Vidare blev resultatet en liten, smidig, batteridriven väldigt billig avståndsmätare, detta visade att tekniken finns för att göra sjukhusutrustning litet, billigt och batteridrivet.För framtiden finns stora förutsättningar för vad man kan göra med denna teknik, till exempel att kolla efter sjukdomar, blodflöde, lungkapacitet och mycket mer bara genom att läsa av information med telefonen från till exempel en liten klocka..

The aim of the study is twofold, to generate a sensory profile of Swedish wine today and to investigate the opinion of both wine producers and wine experts on viticulture in Sweden and wine from grapes grown in Sweden, achieved through a contextual analysis comprising a literature study and interviews with wine producers in Sweden and Denmark and wine experts from Sweden and Germany, and a sensory analysis at the company Ipsos. ?Mixed methods? was the chosen research strategy as the semi-structured interviews gave qualitative results and the sensory analysis would give quantitative results displayed as spider charts. There is a lack of studies investigating how the Swedish wine is perceived by consumers and consumers might be unaware that the Swedish wine, established through ?trial and error?, is increasing in quality every season, creating a need to display the sensory profile of Swedish wine to strengthening the perception of Swedish white wine. This study shows that the Swedish white wine today is a wine with a fresh, citrusy and flowery aroma and a fresh, citrusy and green apple taste, however, a sensory analysis cannot show if the attributes are those that are desired by the customer, a consumer test is necessary to conclude that. Trends point towards locally produced products, one reason why Swedish wine has great potential, yet the future needs to be secured through job opportunities and education. Creating an approval system for Swedish wine is suggested as a future improvement, it is a common procedure in most wine regions.

Powdery mildew is a serious problem in both field and greenhouse cucumber production and can cause serious infection and radically reduced yields. Today, powdery mildew is the main disease in greenhouse produced cucumber. Disease control should preferably be both efficient and environmentally friendly, which is not easy to achieve at all times. Alternatives to chemical control of powdery mildews are biological control, physical control, non-fungicide control and cultivation of resistant or tolerant varieties. Biological control can be described as the suppression of damaging activities inflicted of a harmful organism by one or more other organisms, which are called antagonists or natural enemies. In Sweden, there are currently no registered biological control products available to control cucumber powdery mildew. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of two biological control products in order to evaluate their ability to prevent or reduce powdery mildew infection to an acceptable level in greenhouse produced cucumber. In the experiments, different application regimes were also studied.

Since the 1990?s the Swedish school system has undergone major and recurring structural reforms. Two of the most comprehensive changes has been the shift of primary schools as an integral part of the welfare state to the responsibility of the municipalities as well as the introduction of free school choice for the students. Through two months of participant observations and semi-structured interviews this thesis seeks to answer the question of how these reforms has come to effect the work of teachers in a medium sized public school in a small municipality in the outskirts of Stockholm. Earlier research has shown that public schools in socio-economically vulnerable areas are disadvantaged due to the reformation of the school system (Beach & Sernhede, 2011; Östh, Andersson, & Malmberg, 2013).

Food is widely consumed and in 2011 an average American devoured approximately one ton of food. The production of these goods requires large amounts of energy and contributes to 22-31 % of all greenhouse gas emissions occurring in Europe. More than one third of the produced food is discarded instead of consumed, and food waste make up about 30 % of the waste generated by households. 60 % of this food waste could be avoided if the eatables were handled in a better way.Avoidable food waste arises partly because residues from food are not taken care of, and because the food is not stored in a way that optimise its durability. Residues arises part- ly because of the contradictory and complex demands of everyday life and are, because of our busy lifestyle, difficult to avoid.

Barley is one of the most important cereals cultivated in the Nordic countries. Climate change brings warmer and moisture climate which favors fungal diseases. In the cropland barley can be seriously infested with hard fungus attack. Since it is important that the yield bears a high quality it is of great importance to find varieties more resistant to attacks.Pathogenesis-related (PR) proteins are stress proteins induced in the plant in response to infection and abiotic stress (van Loon, 1997). PRs are shown to have antimicrobial activity differing between bacteria, fungi and oomycetes (Tandrup Poulsen, 2001).
