AbstractThe Energy Declaration is a law that will come into effect October 1: Th 2006. This report has Värnamo municipality as principal and shall clarify what the estate owner in general and Värnamo municipality in particular need to know about this law. Another part that is going to be dealt with is how large the future need for energy experts in this field will be, and which competence that will be demanded for them.The work will in general deal with simplified energy declarations for apartment houses and public buildings, since these buildings are the first to be involved with energy declarations.The energy declaration will consist of a number of important components.? Energy power i.e. how much energy the building consume? If the ventilation control is done? If the radon measurement is carried out? Recommendations of measures to improve the energy power? Reference value to compare the buildings energy power againstAccording to the law the declaration shall been made by an independent expert, which will need certain information for this.

Between 1965 and 1974, the Swedish Parliament decided to build one million dwellings, called Million Program. The million program buildings were erected with new, untried design solutions, in a short range of time, and at low cost. The residential buildings from that time are now greatly in need of renovation. The municipal housing company, Gavlega?rdarna, renovates and improves the energy efficiency at some of it?s apartment buildings in the district Sa?tra, Ga?vle.

Uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i det som skedde på Drottninggatan den 6:e mars 2008. Då hölls en presskonferens med anledning att H&M köpt in sig i företaget Fabric Scandinavien. H&M har inledningsvis köpt 60 procent av företaget, med optioner på ett fullständigt ägande inom en femårsperiod.Problemformuleringen grundar sig i att det råder hård konkurrens på den svenska modemarknaden. Det är svårt för små aktörer att etablera sig. I kontrast till detta har Weekday lyckats gå från att vara en liten second-hand affär på Lilla Essingen till att bli en storkoncern, vid namn Fabric Skandinavien, bestående av ett flertal framgångsrika varumärken samt två välrenommerade klädkedjor.

Annedal is a brand new neighborhood in the Bromma part of Stockholm. The neighborhood construction has now reached its halfway point. When finished, 5000 people are estimated to live in Annedal. The focus for the new area is variation. The conditions for art in Romania have gone through big changes since the collapse of the regime in December of 1989. Under the Communist regime the artists had to work within a dualistic system completely unlike the one that developed in the West during the same period.Similar to the other countries of the former Eastern block, the communist Romanian state had understood the great potential that art has as a form of propaganda. Thus the regime secured full control over the art that would be allowed into the public space. In response to the confines set on the artistic expressions, a non-official art began to develop alongside the official art of the state.These two layers of Romanian art history were dissolved when Ceausescu?s regime finally came to an end in 1989.

Background: The standard of living should be the same for everyone, whether the apartment is placed in an old or new building. The residential properties that were built from 1965 until 1974 is now beginning to become old and in need of restoration. The financial crisis during the nineties contributed to the lack of maintenance on the buildings in Sweden. As the public buildings gets older more and more defects occurs. The coordination and maintenance will therefore have a more significant role in the housing company ?s work.The increasing interest about how old a building can be, attract much attention.

Polisen är en aktör i samhället som har till uppdrag att till medborgarna stå för hjälp, skyddoch ordningshållande vilket resulterar i att vissa utbildningsmässiga krav ställs på polisen. Idetta arbete så har vi valt att fokusera på upplägget av den utbildning i akutsjukvård som deblivande poliserna får under sina fyra terminer på polisutbildningen. En studie gjord avpolisstudenter vid Umeå universitet 2007 pekar på att kunskapsnivån generellt är låg efterutbildningen. Syftet med denna rapport är att ta fram möjliga förslag till förbättringar pågenomförandet av kursen akutsjukvård på polisutbildningen, genom att jämföra två olikautbildningssätt mot varandra: försvarsmaktens block lagda utbildning det vill säga attutbildningen genomförs i koncentrerad form samt akutsjukvårdsutbildningen vid Umeåuniversitet som sträcks ut under fyra terminer.Ur den enkätundersökning som genomförts med polisstuderande vid Umeå Universitet,yrkesverksamma poliser som studerat vid Umeå universitet samt försvarsmakten kunde manbland såväl yrkesverksamma poliser som polisstudenter skönja att deltagarna klart önskar enförändring av Polisutbildningens uppläggning. Många av de synpunkter som lämnades var attdet borde vara mer praktiska inslag samt att utbildningen var för utspridd.

The housing estates in the outskirts of Sandviken, consist of relatively large scale apartment buildings. This report, that is a B.A. thesis at 10 Swedish university points, aims to investigate and describe the opportunities to improve safety and security for inhabitants in Norra Björksätra. The purpose with this report is to make Norra Björksätra to a more attractive place to live in, by changing the negative trends in the area. Since demolition of at least some of the houses could be of current interest in some years; the purpose is also to investigate whether demolition or renewal of the area is the best solution.

The report is the result of a master thesis at ENEA AB during the fall of 2009. Itaims to create a specification of flash memory management system which focuseson power efficiency and low RAM usage for embedded systems, and to design andimplement a prototype of such a system to facilitate further development toward thecreated specification. The system used by ENEA today is a Flash Translation Layer(FTL). It has a complex structure which prohibits modifications and customization,therefore a new flash memory management system needs to be developed.The suggested solution uses a translation layer called Metadata FTL (MFTL), wherefile system metadata and userdata are separated from each other in order to improveperformance. The partition holding userdata uses a block-level mapped translationlayer system called Fully Associative Sector Translation FTL.

The purpose with this project is to explore and verify three renovating systems for Miljonprogrammet (common expression forbuildings constructed during the years 1965-1975 when over a million houses where built in Sweden) to take measure to thelargely transmission losses of these buildings. Many of the buildings from this period have similar constructions and thereforethe same techniques can be used to renovate several of them. This project only considers the climate scale, although thereare many more factors to concern for to efficient the buildings of Miljonprogrammet.This thesis presents examples of renovations carried out using two of the three renovation systems.The essay presents a reference house of choice on which we apply the three systems and calculate the new U-values,consumption of energy and the investment costs. The new U-values the building is given is matched to the values ofrecommendation for passive houses. Our reference house is a two story apartment building, located in the village ofLammhult, with brick facades at the ends and plaster at the long sides.

The purpose of this study is to examine how teenage mother in Iceland, who lives in the capital Reykjavík, perceive their situation. The research questions are:How do teenage mother`s perceive that their lives have changed since they became mothers?Perceive teenage mother some sorts of shame, and if so, in what way?What is the process of teenage mothers to be respected?Qualitative semi structured interviews with 5 girls in the aged of 18-20, is used for analysis in this study. The girls have in common that they have had their child when they were between 15 and 19 years old. The interview were recorded on tape and then it was transcribed.

This study concerns the complete oeuvre by the British author Helen Zahavi: Dirty Weekend (1991), True Romance (1994), and Donna and the Fatman (1998). Her novels are here read as a trilogy dealing with the dialectics of gender and violence in 20th century discourse, drawing on theories of how the construction of subjects is produced by power, of the relation between power and sexuality.The heroines of Zahavi?s novels try their best to move about in a world where their freedom of movement is limited to their female identity. In Dirty Weekend the protagonist tries to shoot her way out, claiming revenge on every man that is forcing himself upon her. She gains some freedom of movement by refusing subordination, but does not really change the order of power.

Majs är en krävande växt, framförallt när det gäller växtnäring. Den vill ha näring tidigt och under en lång tid. Försök har visat att det skulle vara en skillnad i kärnskörd av majs vid olika växtnäringsgivor. Att sammylla en startgiva av växtnäring tillsammans med utsädet vid sådd skulle kunna göra så att plantan växer till sig fortare och kan på så sätt klara sig bättre mot sjukdomar, insekter och konkurrera mer med ogräs. En tidig utveckling av plantan brukar även bidra till en högre skörd.

The background of this study stemmed from the notion that the majority of homeless women with substance abuse, most of all, wanted a secured place of their own to stay. Few involved professionals agreed and instead of perceiving housing as a human right the women were mostly offered various types of short-term social housing. The purpose of this study was thus to examine and analyze how professionals attached to the social services and public housing companies in Gothenburg explained that homeless women with substance abuse were excluded from accommodation on the open housing market. The qualitative approach included ten interviews with eleven professionals in Gothenburg. The theoretical framework consisted mainly of Bourdieu's analytical concepts of field, doxa as well as social, economic and cultural, alongside symbolic capital.
