Fredsengagemang i en os?ker tid: En studie av hur svenska fredsaktivister navigerat sitt fredsengagemang sedan Rysslands fullskaliga invasion av Ukraina

This case study examines how individuals involved in the Swedish peace movement have navigated their peace activism due to the intensified security debate which followed Russia?s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. By conducting semi-structured interviews with peace activists involved in the Swedish peace organization Svenska freds- och Skiljedomsf?reningen, the study aims to provide insight into how peace activists, and the peace movement as a whole, can be affected when the security debate intensifies. By applying a theoretical framework consisting of Political Process Theory (PPT) and Discursive Opportunity Structure (DOS), as well as previous studies and literature on social movement organizations and peace movements, the study?s objective is also to apply context to the observations made by the peace activists in the study.

In tune with the cross-border trade the infringement of intellectual property rights has become a growing problem in Europe and the rest of the world. In June 2008 negotiations about a new international agreement was initiated between Europe, its member states and ten other countries, which will restrict infringements of intellectual property rights. The agreement is called ACTA, which stands for Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. On January 26, 2012 the European Union (EU) and twenty-two of its twenty-seven member states signed a letter of intent to the agreement and the EU?s internal processes of the agreement began.

Car-commercials are something that many people come in contact with on a daily basis.This is a study on commercials for cars and is focusing on visual effects that are madein post-production. In this report we are trying to find out if and how visual effects incommercials for cars affect how the observer remembers them. The second subjects thatwe use in this report is popularity and we try to find out if and in that case how visualeffects affect the commercials for cars popularity. We also investigated how frequentlycommercials for cars are showed on TV and how the visual effects are in them, it givesa better foundation to the other parts.The methods we applied were interviews, quantitative and qualitative content analysisof car commercials and also observation analysis of the 6 swedish TV-channels thatshows commercials and have the most viewers, to get an idea how frequently thesecommercials are shown. The commercials that were applied in this paper was from late2011 to early 2012.

Trådlös kamerastyrning

As an amateur it can be difficult filming from several angles at the same time as this requires several cameras. It´s also hard to film at occasions when it´s not appropriate to manoeuvre the camera manually. Systems for solving these problems already exist, but it´s either more expensive, professionalsystems or cheaper systems with limited functionality.The purpose of this project is to develop a cost efficient solution to the problem above that offers a better functionality then existing commercial systems. The biggest difference from existing products is the wireless video feedback from the camera to the remote unit.The result of the project is a system consisting of two units, a manoeuvre unit with a cradle for the video camera and a remote unit from which the operator can control pan and tilt of the video camera.Communication between the two units is wireless.On the remote unit there is a joystick and a display mounted. In addition to this, there is also an IR receiver that is capable of reading the signal from the cameras own remote and sending it to the manoeuvre unit.The manoeuvre unit is equipped with one motor to control the tilt function and one motor to control the pan.

Svenska proteinfodermedel till häst - alternativ till soja

Importerad soja är vanligt att använda i hästfoder som en proteinkälla, men de negativa effekterna på miljön som orsakas av odling och transport skapar ett intresse för inhemska alternativ. De inhemska proteinfodermedel som tagits upp i litteraturstudien är torkad vetedrank, potatisprotein, foderjäst, drav, ärtor, åkerbönor samt mjöl och expeller från raps och linfrö. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att se vilka möjligheter det finns att använda svenska proteinfodermedel till hästfoder vid bristande proteinhåll i grovfodret, istället för att ge dem importerad soja. Studien beaktar olika proteinfodermedel och huruvida de är lämpliga för olika hästkategorier, samt hästars behov av protein och specifika aminosyror. Även begränsande faktorer som anti-nutrionella substanser har belysts, samt miljöpåverkan och odlingsmöjligheterna av olika proteinfodermedel i Sverige.

But in what ways are they using Facebook as a tool to connect with their fans?This essay aims to answer the question if it?s a difference in the way English and Swedish teams communicate with their fans on Facebook. The study was conducted with the use of telephone- and mail interviews.

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) meloxicam in connection with dehorning of goat kids. Six 2-3,5 weeks old dehorned kids were given daily intramuscular injections of meloxicam (0,5 mg/kg; MG) and five age-matched dehorned kids were given isotonic NaCl (NG) for 3 days. The study was randomized and double blinded. The behavior of the kids was studied one day before dehorning, on the dehorning day and three days after. Blood samples were collected each day before the treatment and analyzed for plasma concentrations of meloxicam, hematocrit, cortisol, progesterone and glucose.

The company Microshop is interested in implementing new features in their product-website, and would like to examine the possibility and usefulness of introducing such functionality. When designing interaction for commercial websites, it is important to make the menus easy to use, and refrain from using deep hierarchies in order to avoid causing unnecessary burden for the users. There is an interest among users for adaptive functionality, but this requires great amounts of trust in the website from the user. Something which can be created by refraining from using implicit information, and provide detailed explanations throughout the website. A usability test was conducted in order to complement the data gathered from the theoretical study, the interviews and the expert evaluations.

In recent years, customer profitability has become a focal point of academic discussions on business performance. However, researchers remain divided as to how evaluation of customers ought to be conducted, resulting in uncertainty of how accounting systems should be adapted to prevailing conditions. This paper aims to investigate the application of customer accounting techniques and the role they play in the organisational and commercial context in which they take place. In a case study of Billerud, a Swedish company providing materials and services for packaging solutions, the interplay between customer accounting techniques and customer relationship characteristics has been examined through the application of a theoretical framework developed by Lind and Strömsten. Particular emphasis has been put on deviations from the prescribed pattern of the framework.

The report aims to examine how property owners position themselves to reach their targetmarket, and which strategies they use when positioning their product. The investigation has beencarried out mainly in the form of a case study in which a number of interviews with Stockholmreal estate companies has been conducted, focusing on commercial property market segment.The interviews have resulted in identification of common and specific strategies among thecompanies. These strategies have been analyzed in the light of the theory by Philip Kotler andKevin Lane Keller, focusing on how an offer should be designed to reach a competitive position.It can be concluded that positioning is a key activity for successfully addressing the targetmarket. Successful positioning mandates three key requirements to be met; determining thecategory to which the offer belongs, identifying similarities and differences compared to thecompetitors and developing a brand mantra. The result of the case study concludes that theproperty companies work similar in many ways.

Från Folkhjälte till Mediestjärna : En observationsstudie om fotbollsstjärnan och dess relation till samhället

SyfteSyftet var att undersöka hur TV-bilden av fotbollsstjärnan förändrats från 1970-talet till dagens TV-bild.Frågeställningar? Vilka egenskaper och värdegrunder förknippades den traditionella fotbollsstjärnan med?? Vilka egenskaper och värdegrunder förknippas den nya fotbollsstjärnan med?? Vilka faktorer har legat till grund för denna förändringsprocess?MetodJag baserar min empiri inledningsvis på kvalitativa litteraturstudier och sedan huvudsakligen på observationer gjorda på olika TV-produktioner om hur fotbollsstjärnan skildras i dagens samhälle. Jag har använt mig både av TV-produktioner så som nutida matcher i direktsändning och arkiverade sådana. Matcherna har jag observerat i sin helhet inklusive studiodiskussion.ResultatDen traditionella fotbollsstjärnan förknippas med följande värden och värdegrunder:? det korintiska amatöridealet? kalvinistisk arbetsmoral? kollektivism och lagfokusering? lokalförankring? gentlemannavirtuositet? atletisk fascination baserad på prestation.Den nya fotbollsstjärnan förknippas med följande värden och värdegrunder:? det korintiska amatöridealet fusionerat med den kalvinistiska arbetsmoralen? framgång? globaliserat kändisskap? atletisk fascination baserad på skönhet/estetik? glamour? mode och trend.Dessa faktorer har legat till grund för förändringsprocessen:? hyperrealismen? kulturfusionen? informationsflödet? globaliseringen.SlutsatsFotbollsstjärnan har gått från att ha varit en lokalförankrad folkhjälte till att idag ses som en trendig, modemedveten, målmedveten, ambitiös och professionell stjärna.

Lågprisflygets påverkan på regioner : en studie av Stockholm

The purpose of the study is to investigate and elucidate how low-cost airlines can influence and develop tourism in a region. In order to bring about the purpose the author used two research questions. Have low-cost airlines contributed to regional development? How many additional visitors have low-cost airlines contributed to Stockholm? In order to answer these questions a survey was carried out at Arlanda airport and statistics were collected. The results of the study show that there has been a regional development.

Metadata på webben : en studie av metadata och dess användning på sex svenska högskolors och universitets webbplatser

The purpose of this Master's thesis is to study metadata and its use at Web sites of six Swedish universities and colleges. Each Web site has been examined at three different hierarchical levels and the total number of examined Web pages is 258. 16 questionnaires have also been sent to webmasters at the six universities and colleges. The results show that metadata refers to the data which can assist to organize, describe, identify, locate, evaluate and retrieve resources on the Internet. Even though there are several different metadata formats available on the Internet, the commercial search engines only support the HTML's title tag and the meta tags with the attributes keywords and description.

Individual identification in pigs using microchips

Individual identification of pigs could be used in commercial herds for production monitoring, disease monitoring and breeding evaluation. This study investigates the possibility of using microchips designed for dogs and cats to identify individual pigs from birth, through rearing to carcass at the slaughter plant. Two different sizes of microchips, and two different ages of the pigs at injection were tested. Castrates and gilts from ten litters were evenly distributed between chip sizes and injection ages. All pigs were identity marked with both electronic ear tags and injected with microchips.

Norra Botkyrkas undre värld : En inblick i antihjältarnas vardag

The purpose with this study was to describe and analyse the daily activities of a criminal group in a southern suburb of Stockholm, Norra Botkyrka, and their attitude to drugs, the police, crimes in general, accomplices and their plans for the future. The study is a combination of different qualitative methods that is built on unobtrusive methods and interviews that was carried out during winter in 2006 and spring in 2007 and six interviews. My interest to carry out this study was grounded on my several years of experience as a prison and probation officer in the prison. I chose to ?live? with a group of criminals and participated in some of their social activities.The respondents that I chose to call ?anti-heroes? proudly tell me about their criminal lifestyle that characterizes of violence, drugs, crimes and conflict where this people show no regret.
