Generation Y : De nya konsumenterna
De kallas generation K för kartlagd, generation O för ordning, generation Why för varför, generation C för content (innehåll). De kallas homo zappiens för hur de zappar sig igenom livet.Generation Y är dagens unga vuxna som är uppvuxna i ett högteknologiskt samhälle. Deras sätt att konsumera och leva skiljer sig från tidigare generationer. Den allmänna bilden av generation Y är en lat, slösaktig generation, som är bortskämda av sina föräldrar och ställer höga krav som konsumenter. Detta examensarbete behandlar begreppet generation Y och fokuserar på att kartlägga vem de är och deras förhållande till konsumtion och märken.
Generation Y:s värderingar och attityder kring framtidens chefsroll
Syfte: Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur Generation Y:s attityd och
värderingar förhåller sig mot det ledarskap som bör tillämpas av framtida
chefer.
Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ ansats i form av individuella intervjuer och
en fokusgrupp, således har studien baserats på det empiriska material som
insamlats från de fyra individuella intervjuerna och vår fokusgrupp som
genomfördes. Det empiriska såväl som det teoretiska materialet har
sammanställts i sitt respektive kapitel och därefter analyserats med
utgångspunkt ur våra frågeställningar.
Slutsatser: De senaste åren har det förekommit artiklar i fack- och dagspress
om hur individer ur Generation Y ställt sig ovilliga till att acceptera
chefsrollen. Vårt resultat visar att det finns ett genuint intresse för
civilingenjörs- och civilekonomstudenter att faktiskt acceptera chefsrollen.
Det är dock med krav på kontinuerlig feedback, coachning och möjligheten till
att arbeta fritt och kreativt som gör att dessa individer är benägna att
acceptera chefsrollen i företagen..

This essay answers the question: How can a manufacturing business fulfill the information demand in the processes; purchasing, production, warehousing, order and delivery?The question has been answered through different kind of studies, such as literature, documents, Internet search, interviews and observations. The essay is written from a hermeneutic point of view and by using qualitative research. The result has been validated by two different manufacturing businesses.A simple information logistic model is the result of a comparison made between theory and empery. The aim of the model is to describe how a manufacturing business can fulfill the information demand by using different methods.
Upplevelsebaserade fritidsaktiviteter för generation Z : En konceptutveckling för ungas delaktighet i Allhuset, Piteå
Syftet med studien är att undersöka ungdomar tillhörande generation Zs behov och önskemål av fritidsaktiviteter i Piteå för att sedan utveckla ett koncept för hur utformandet av aktiviteterna kan gå till. Due to increasing international competition and new technology IT-consultants has been forced to oversee their business models lately. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the process and consequences of a shift in business model for a consultant by using a methodology based on action research. The empirical foundation consists of a field study with observations, notes, interviews and business related documents. The case describes a consultant?s process of shifting business model from profits based on man-hours to selling a standardized system.
Innehållsmarknadsföring på sociala medier : En studie om Generation Y:s mottaglighet i sociala mediekanaler
By reading earlier research on Generation Y, content marketing and on social media during the working process the problem has gradually changed, in accordance with an abductive research approach. The study focus has developed from examine marketing methods on marketing towards Generation Y to include on what social media platform Generation Y is most susceptible for content marketing.The purpose of this study is to help companies whose target market is Generation Y to aim their content marketing through the right distribution channels, to save time and money. To meet this objective and to answer the main question of this study, empirical data was collected through a web based, quantitative survey which was completed by a total of 301 respondents, all of them belonging to Generation Y. The collected quantitative data was contrasted with existing theory and was analysed.The study concluded that Facebook is the social media channel where Generation Y feel most susceptible for content marketing, followed by YouTube. .

Doing Business in China - A Best-practice Model for Foreign Invested Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)
Foreign invested SMEs have recently become increasingly interested in China. The enterprises are in this report categorized as second wave companies since they follow the footsteps of previous pioneers, of which mostly were larger companies. The ambitions of the SMEs are either to sell products on the ever expanding Chinese market or to utilize the potential of low cost production for global markets. The existing literature is fragmented and solely based on the experience of larger companies. We believe that SMEs are facing new and different challenges, and thus a new generic theoretical frame work is desirable.

Svenska Lantchips : Och deras internationaliseringsprocess
Svenska Lantchips is a Swedish SME sized snack manufacturer. Being a small, medium sized, family-owned business with branches throughout the world, they make an interesting company for a case study. The case study I have conducted focuses on the internationalisation process of this family owned company ? how they, despite their size, find ways to keep up an unique business structure, designed for internationalisation.The aim of this essay is to compare Svenska Lantchips? internationalisation process with traditional internationalisation theories and see if these are compatible with this company. The theories used are The Uppsala Model, The Network Model, and The Born Global Theory, with The Born Global Theory representing the younger generation of models.After undertaking an in-depth interview with Michael Hansen, business developer at Svenska Lantchips, I collated a substantial amount of material, which I have used as the basis of this essay.

I och med att Baby Boomers-generationen i allt större grad går i pension upplever företag och organisationer en ökande brist på kompetent personal. of this research is to investigate how influencer marketing affects brand loyalty within
Generation Z. A quantitative research method was conducted by using a survey, whereby 193
respondents within the age of 18-29 participated.

Stockholms vattenskärning AB in Kungsängen has through the acquisition of a company begun to design and produce aircraft heaters whose origin is early 1970s which follows a high inefficiency in terms of energy consumption and size.The aircraft heater, which is sold worldwide, serves its purpose for customer satisfaction and has done so ever since it was developed in the 70s.Stockholms vattenskärning AB is now investigating the possibility in making the aircraft heaters more efficient, both in terms of energy consumption but also on a more efficient design with the belief that it would lead them to an edge in the market. The aircraft heater consists of several main components whose function altogether is to keep passenger aircrafts warm while they are on the ground.This project has been limited to the further development of the heat exchanger package which accounts for the conversion of the hot medium to the fresh air being carried in to the aircraft cabin. Work has been divided into different phases in order to create a better understanding of the project range and to make it easier to divide the various elements in the time available, 10 weeks. These phases are literature review, situation analysis, concept generation, CAD, concept comparison and writing reports.After the initial literature review was made, a fundamental theory was written which is essential in understanding the remaining parts of the project.With the theoretical part as support, measurements and calculations were made on the current heat exchange package in a situation analysis to ensure its operation and efficiency.In the concept generation phase, the collected facts from the literature review was used as the basis for creating a matrix. The purpose of the matrix was to indicate the two most suitable types of heat exchangers to develop four new concepts out of.In the CAD phase the four concepts was drawn up and then described with text and images.The last phase is the concept comparison where a concept selection matrix is used to function as a decision basis for further production at Stockholms vattenskärning AB. The four concepts have been developed based on the current heat exchanger and is gradually changed into a design of a cross-flow heat exchanger constructed out of stainless sections. The purpose of this is to have gradual upgrading of the heat exchanger as an option, in order not to saturate the market..
