One of the essential needs of human beings is to be involved in a social context. The intention of this study was to see if the opportunity to have an iPod Touch, could make it possible for students with literacy difficulties to participate in the regular classes and if the implementation of iPod Touch in the school setting would result in informal learning outside the school. In this case study two pupils with literacy difficulties have been using an iPod Touch in their daily school activity. The pupils as well as their teachers have been interviewed about their experiences of implementing iPod Touch as a tool in the regular classroom teatching. The results indicate that iPod Touch can help students to be in inclusive education and that they use the iPod Touch outside school.

Current technology offers many possibilities for remotecommunication. Nevertheless, people with cognitive and communicativedisabilities have limited access to common communication technology like textmessaging via a mobile phone. This study is part of the project Text messagingwith picture symbols - a possibility for AAC users and people with cognitiveimpairments. Semi structured interviews were used to investigate three menand four women?s experiences of using Windows mobiles with adaptedfunctions for text messaging.

The thesis objective was to study the partnership between the municipality of Gothenburg and three nonprofit organizations concerning the mobile EU-citizens. The study examines how the EU-enlargement affected Sweden and eventually the municipality of Gothenburg, and how Gothenburg responded to the new situation regarding the target group. The thesis contains one case study and the empirical data are based on semi structured interviews with politicians and officials from both the public- and the nonprofit sector. The results were screened with New Institutional Theory, Resource Dependence Theory and Decision Making Theory: Rule Following. The theories were used to locate any type of isomorphism, resource dependence and rule following in the partnership.

The use of silicon carbide (SiC) as a base material in power electronics has manyadvantages, including high breakdown voltage and excellent temperature endurance.However, the packaging of such electronics presents major challenges and there is aneed for packaging that can operate in higher temperature. The purpose of this thesishas been to develop a test method and verify the functionality of SiC powertransistors prototypes with a new packaging technique developed by Swerea IVF AB.It includes setting up an electrical test-bed for power and high temperature cyclingand analysis of the results. Even though test confirmed functionality after thepackaging process, (at room temperature) the performance seemed to have been reduced. This could be a result of the measurement setup and the packaging process.In higher temperature the transistors failed to operate longer than a couple ofminutes which showed the weaknesses in the design and the challenges with this typeof packaging..

Enligt 11 § MBL är arbetsgivaren skyldig att på eget initiativ kalla till förhandling innan han/hon fattar beslut i frågor som utgör viktigare förändring av hans/hennes verksamhet eller av arbets- eller anställningsförhållandena för arbetstagarna. Denna primära förhandlingsskyldighet gäller endast mot de kollektivavtalsslutande arbetstagarorganisationerna.Syftet med uppsatsen är dels att belysa den här primära förhandlingsskyldigheten och dels beskriva hur den kan tillämpas i praktiken. Frågeställningarna som behandlas är därför följande: Kan arbetsgivaren identifiera de frågor som hör hemma i 11 § MBL? Förhandlar arbetsgivaren enligt 11 § MBL? Finns det andra sätt att komma överens än genom förhandling? Är förhandlingsskyldigheten en nackdel eller är det en fördel att MBL finns för relationerna mellan parterna på arbetsmarknaden? För att kunna besvara dessa frågor ges först en teoretisk inblick i 11 § MBL medan en undersökning vidtogs på ett företag i syfte att studera den praktiska tillämpningen av nämnda lagrum.På företaget där undersökningen ägde rum har tillämpningen av arbetsgivarens primära förhandlingsskyldighet enligt 11 § MBL anpassats till verksamheten genom ett Utvecklingsavtal. Företaget ifråga har stående möten en gång i veckan där personalchefen, en personalkonsult och de fyra kollektivavtalsslutande arbetstagarorganisationerna är närvarande.

Syftet med vår undersökning är att ta reda på hur behandlare upplever, tänker och berättar om samtal de har i sitt arbete? Hur balanserar de mellan att vara privat och vara professionell? Vad påverkar ett samtal, och vilka olika typer av samtal finns? Vilken betydelse har kontexten?Vår undersökning gäller både behandlande samtal, terapeutiska med bokad tid på särskilt anvisad plats och eller med ett särskilt syfte, och miljöterapeutiska samtal som förs i vardagen exempelvis när man diskar eller åker bil, där man som personal inte har ett annat syfte än att interagera och relatera. För att få fram de anställdas upplevelser av detta så har vi valt en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade intervjuer. Vi har använt symbolisk interaktionism som teori för analysen då det är interaktion mellan människor vi fokuserar på, med fokus på behandlaren.Vi har funnit att det inte går att ha en alltför tydlig strategi i hur man ska uppföra sig då man blir genomskådad om man följer en mall och inte är sig själv. Det finns en inbyggd konflikt i att man har en dubbel roll i och med att man ska vara personlig och kamratlig samtidigt som man har en agenda i bakhuvudet som består i en plan att skapa förändring hos ungdomarna.Något som visade sig vara väldigt betydelsefullt för samtalet är i vilket rum det utspelar sig.

The empirical material is made from two qualitative group- interviews and open observations during two meetings in the Kingdom Hall. Aid effectiveness is a reoccuring theme in the social sciences. Maybe rightfully so, as development is slow in many parts of the developing world. Core literature on the matter seems to suggest that aid effectiveness is contingent on recipients? level of corruption. Assuming this to be true, I examine the EU?s disbursements of Official Development Assistance over the past decade by running regressions: is there a relationship between the level of aid received, and a country?s level of corruption? As the EU is one of the largest donors of foreign aid globally, and has the power to shape the global foreign aid agenda, this question puts to the test whether the EU is leading the way, or rather is an obstacle in front.

The Purpose of this study is to contribute knowledge on and to make the preschool teachers views visible about physical contact between children in wild play in the preschool. I decide to use interview of preschool teachers in a group setting as a mean to investigate this. The group interview is a non-structured interview with open questions where the preschool teachers only received guidance with pre made questions when needed.The result shows what kind of view the preschool teachers have on physical contact and they share concreate examples on how they work in situations like these.By reading this study I hope to contribute better knowledge of the physical contract between children and that the study generates futher reflections on one´s attitude in the matter..

Our thesis is a single-case study in which we try to answer the question: Why didn?t the lobbygroup Eurogroup for Animals get enough support for their demands in the latest regulation regarding transport of animals? As an example of their cooperation with their memberorganisations, we have chosen the Swedish organisation Djurens Rätt. Through interviews with key-persons involved in the process and with the use of Jeremy Richardson's theory regarding lobbying in the EU, we found that there were many different factors that effected Eurogroup for Animals chances to get an animal friendly legislation. For example by setting too ambitious demands Eurogroup for Animals wasn?t considered to be a serious actor during the legislation process.

This thesis concerns an energy audit of a food industry. The company's business consists of boiling and peeling shrimps, and producing mayonnaise-based salads. This type of work involves energy-intensive processes, such as steam generation, compression of air and refrigeration of large spaces. These needs are supplied with electricity. Furthermore, the industry is a major consumer of district heating, particularly for heating the supply air in the ventilation system.
