The purpose of this Masters thesis is to compare classification codes and feature headings of three different universal classification schemes SAB, UDC and DDC, when classifying archaeological literature. The aim is to determine whether a subject analysis of a title generates similar feature headings in the three systems, and to find positive and negative things about each system from an archaeological point of view. The comparison and the analysis of the 22 chosen archaeological monographs showed that the subject analysis of the titles didnt always generate similar feature headings. This could depend on several things, for example different interpretations of the subject analysis of a document, less knowledge about the system and/or the subject, or the fact that its not the same classifier that creates the codes. The study also showed that the different classification systems did treat the subject archaeology a bit differently, and that its difficult to say that one of them is better for classifying archaeological literature.

This study aims to examine Business Intelligence research conduct within Swedish government agencies and workplaces in order to understand the recent debate regarding Business Intelligence research ethics and thus answer the following question: Does Business Intelligence praxis in Sweden meet ethical guidelines recommended by international field experts? A theoretical analysis of relevant and also recent publications, including a Business Intelligence method review, was conducted using qualitative content analysis. In order to validate the results from my theoretical analysis I conducted a series of interviews with a number of professionals who useBusiness Intelligence research in their work and decisionmaking process..

The purpose of this study is to analyse and compare how religious and non-religious world views are described and represented in three Swedish textbooks. The main question of this study is: How do three textbooks for the first stage of religious studies in high school represent non-religious and religious world views based on the text analysis tools: ethos, modality and transitivity?The three textbooks that are being analysed and compared were produced in the years of 2000, 2002 and 2009. The textbooks are used when teaching the first stage of religious studies in Swedish high school. The text analysis that I´ve chosen to use in this study is a part of Norman Faircloughs critical discourse analysis.

Denna rapport är resultat av en fallstudie som utförts på fyra företag som arbetar med utveckling av realtidssystem som är kritiska ur någon aspekt. Det finns många programmeringsspråk som kan användas inom realtidstill¬ämpningar. Vid utveckling av kritiska realtidssystem är det viktigt att program¬meringsspråket har bra stöd för tidshantering och egenskaper som för¬hindrar mänskliga fel som kan följa med till maskinkoden i målsystemet. Mindre lämpliga programmeringsspråk kan ge upphov till fler buggar, vilket medför tids¬krävande och dyra tester som kunnat undvikas med annat programmeringsspråk. Resultatet som presenteras i denna rapport visar att programmeringsspråket C används i stor utsträckning för kritiska tillämpningar.

With theories of creativity and aesthetic learning processes as a basis, this study explores the usage of the concept of creativity in the curriculum for the Swedish compulsory school (Lgr11) and in the various syllabi?s commentaries and the assessment guidelines for the subject of Sloyd produced by the Swedish National Agency for Education. The purpose of the study is, to examine to which extent an education and assessment that is directed towards the development of creativity among pupils in the subject of Sloyd, is underpinned and supported for in these texts, and furthermore how these wordings relate to the various other subjects? wordings about creativity. Creativity is a concept around which there is no proper consensus.

Uppsatsen är en mångfaldsundersökning av Sveriges Televisions (SVT) nyhetsprogram Rapport och är genomförd som en fallstudie under våren 2012. Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilka som får komma till tals i nyheterna och utifrån vilket perspektiv: i avseendet representationen av kvinnor, män och personer med minoritetsbakgrund. Därtill har studiens syfte varit att undersöka vilka faktorer i de redaktionella strukturerna och journalistiska villkoren på SVT Riksnyheternas redaktion som kan bidra till att påverka nyhetsinnehållet ur ett mångfaldsperspektiv.En av studiens teoretiska utgångspunkter är att medierna har en sammanhangsskapande funktion och att en rådande maktstruktur reproduceras genom tillskrivandet av en marginaliserande och generaliserande roll till minoriteter. Som Sveriges största nyhetsprogram är det intressant vilken verklighet som SVT Rapport förmedlar i sitt nyhetsinnehåll. Därtill har mångfald på SVT varit ett intressant undersökningsområde då det som public serviceföretag har ett uppdrag att tillhandahålla ett utbud som präglas av mångfald och svarar mot demokratiska behov.I studien kombineras en kvantitativ undersökning, som innebar kodning av Rapports 19.30-sändning i tre sammanhängande veckor och en kvalitativ undersökning, som innefattar observationsstudie på SVT Riksnyheter under två arbetsveckor samt 12 intervjuer med redaktionsmedarbetare.Resultatet visar att Rapport uppnår en relativt jämn könsfördelning i nyhetsinnehållet i avseendet presentationen av kvinnor och män, men att nyhetsinnehållet är könsmärkt och att etniska och kulturella minoriteter tilldelas en undanskymd roll.

 The aim of this thesis is to examine men's attitudes towards literature, and how social norms affect their book reading, in order to contribute to the knowledge of why men's book reading is decreasing. This is realized through a discourse analysis of literature recommendations in men's lifestyle magazines.Two magazines, King of Sweden and Magazine Café, are examined through critical discourse analysis. Theories of discourse are combined with theories of gender to explore how gender stereotypes affect men's reading habits.The analysis shows that ideals of masculinity have a great influence on the book recommendations. Social norms, associated with gender, also seem to have significance to whether or not a book is considered suitable for men to read. These are, inter alia, norms of heterosexuality and violence.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the promotion of easy-to-read fiction for 10-12 year old children in public libraries. The number of easy-to-read fiction books is increasing on the book market. This can be expected to affect the public library. The hypotheses for the study are: 1) Public libraries expose easy-to-read fiction and use it in their reading promotion activities and, 2) The acquisition of easy-to-read books and the use of easy-to-read books in reading promotion activities have increased over the last five years. A self-completion questionnaire was distributed to 44 public libraries in Sweden.

The study analysis Anaïs Nin's work, Henry & June from a queer theoretical perspective. The purpose is to show what the work makes with text and how it produces ambivalence with sex and gender and thereby demonstrate the queer leakage in heteronormative performativities. The first part analyzes how it is working with self-representation in diary form. In order to view the work historically and linguistically the work has been related to analyzes and essays by other researchers mentioned in the analysis. The analysis shows that the writer Anaïs Nin has a clear agenda with her work.

Inom ett företag är det viktigt att ha en enhetlig kommunikation utåt mot kunder. Butiksatmosfären är en del av butikskedjans helhet, vilken påverkar hur kunderna upplever butikerna. Då butikskedjorna får anpassa sina butiker efter ytan, påverkas även den enhetliga kommunikationen som butikskedjan sänder ut. Detta leder till att kunderna får en osammanhängande image som inte stämmer överens med företagets profil och identitet. Rapporten jämför en butikskedjas profil och identitet med kundernas uppfattade image av butikskedjan.

Allt för ofta händer det att systemutvecklingsprojekt misslyckas. Ofta beror dessa misslyckanden på att systemutvecklingsprocessens tidiga faser utförs bristfälligt. Genom att ta tillvara och återanvända information som uppkommit under tidigare utförda informationssystemutvecklingsprojekt, ökas chansen att nästa informationssystemutvecklingsprocess får ett bra resultat. En kravspecifikation som endast innehåller krav som måste uppfyllas av alla informationssystem inom en specifik domän, går att tillämpa vid all informationssystemsutveckling inom denna specifika domän. För att denna kravspecifikation skall kunna användas på detta vis, krävs det att uppdateringar sker i denna allt eftersom aktuell domän förändras.

This is an analysis of how the Swedish newspapers Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet and the English newspapers The Independent and The Guardian reported about the sexual molestation and rape charges that were alleged against the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in August 2010. Through a critical discourse analysis, a theme- and proposition analysis and a process analysis this paper aims to investigate how the above mentioned newspapers create reality in their articles. The purpose is to shed light upon with what means the journalists through the inherited structures of the newspaper illustrate actions and events, how they let other people get visible in the text and who is described as responsible for current events.    The results of the analysis shows that Aftonbladet uses a relatively large amount of propositions and speech cues to create an image of the reality that is almost explicitly angled. Dagens Nyheter and The Independent claims a higher degree of objectivity and through micro themes with different perspectives and few explicit statements they create a reality with plenty of room for the reader to make her own conclusions. The Guardian creates an image of the world where the Wikileaks is a great force of democracy and where actions are performed by humans as well as by objects and organizations.   .

This paper examines interpellations made in the swedish Riksdag and how they are rhetorically structured to effect and hold government officials accountable in climate policy.?The analysis methodology applied is rhetorical analysis, which aims to identify rhetorical argumentative strategies in the opposition's interpellations between three different periods, 2015-2018, 2019-2022 and 2022-2025. These strategies are ethos, pathos and logos, they are used as glasses in which a rhetorical analysis is conducted on the material. The study reveals that the rhetorical strategies differ between the time periods and that the political rhetoric has become more value loaded over time.? .

Denna rapport beskriver processen av skapandet av en webbaserad säljpresentation av en av företaget PROSK8?s planerade produkter. Målet med presentationen är att skapa nyfikenhet och förtroende genom visuell design och ska fungera som ett verktyg och stöd för företagets presentatörer vid möten med investerare. Centralt för denna process är upplevelsedesign, varför utgångspunkten för arbetsflödet bygger på Jesse James Garretts modell av ?The elements of user experience?.

Tidigare studier berör främst funktion, praktik, innehåll och relevans i den muntliga rapporten. När det gäller omvårdnad i den muntliga rapporten hittades ingen vetenskaplig litteratur. Författarna i den här studien anser att omvårdnad är lika viktig som medicinen i patientvården. Syftet är att belysa omvårdnad i den muntliga rapporten mellan sjuksköterskor. En observationsstudie utfördes på sex avdelningar på ett sjukhus i Skaraborg.
