This essay is a discourse analysis of the integration politics of the different parties in the Swedish parliament and the non-parliamentary party ?the Swedish Democrats?, as it is presented on their respective web pages. The overall purpose is to problematize and shed a light on how the current discourse(s) about integration are constituted. Also of interest is how these construct our knowledge and experience of the phenomena. We furthermore want to illustrate the social consequences of such discourses on the construction and organization of identities and groups, and, as a result, the courses of action that becomes available.

Sweden is divided according to an ethnic boundary, which divides people in "we" and "the others", "Swedes" and "immigrants" (Ålund, 2002). We believe this is due to the fact that society categorises immigrants all the time as a homogeneous group with fixed and static qualities, resulting in a situation where you cannot represent yourself as a person. Instead you are represented on the basis of your ethnic belonging. Young immigrants often grow up under other conditions and find themselves in more vulnerable situations than Swedish youths. The purpose with this paper was to investigate young people with different ethnic backgrounds, their thoughts and feelings about their identity, group belongingness and future.

Aim and Problem statement The study aimed to investigate views on physical health amongst patients in methadone maintenance program, which is a subject little explored. Previous studies suggest that methadone patients are at risk developing illnesses related to the metabolic syndrome and an unhealthy lifestyle. Methadone also has side effects such as weight gain and irregular levels of glucose. Method This qualitive study included seven interviews with patients in the methadone maintenance program in Uppsala. Qualitive content analyses were performed Findings Content anlyses gave the theme: The view on physical health is a stuggle after normality were ambivalence of lifestyle changes and Alienation causes instability in helath.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how social workers, working in a management position in the health care system, perceive the encounter of the medical and social perspective. With seven qualitative interviews, the study tries to conclude whether or not social workers are accepted at managerial positions within the health care sector. The social worker is, as a manager in health care, a leader but at the same time in a professional Alienation from the medical caregivers. Organizations in the health care sector are often multi professional and have their own long standing tradition, history and culture. The results show that the conditions for social workers, working in a management position in health care appear to be agreeable.

Hemmasittare is a new term for children and youths with a history of long term truancy. As the term indicates these youths spend most of their time in their homes. This often results in them being socially alienated and the loss of their earlier social network. The consequences of hemmasittande and social Alienation are many and include not only a deficient social network but also psychological and physical problems. Research has shown that many of these problems follow on through into adult life.

The aim of this study is to examine which factors in a traffic wardens? situation at work that promote and which that inhibit satisfaction at work. The aim of this study is also to examine if there are any differences in the work experiences for traffic wardens that work alone versus those who work in a team of two. The following questions are examined in the study:?Which factors promote and which factors inhibit the work situation for traffic wardens??Are there any differences between traffic wardens that work alone and those who work with another colleague?The selection consisted of eight traffic wardens, of which four of them work with another colleague while the other four work by themselves.

Itanalyzes his work in the context of the European literary scene of the late 19th century, inparticular symbolism and impressionism. Conradson has been considered a symbolist and amysticist by critics and scholars, who claim that his poetry expresses a strong religious ethos,influenced by biblical rhetoric as regards style.While this study does not refute the common view of Conradson, it argues that his earlyworks differ from his later works, where indeed religious and mystical themes can be found.This difference can thus be seen both on stylistic and thematic levels. Using the structuralistmethod of Roman Jakobson and Jurij Lotman, and a phenomenological analysis based on thephilosophy of Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Hannah Arendt, this study examines bothsymbolist and impressionist stylistic devices and themes in Conradson?s literary debutSkyarne (1906).

Denna uppsats utgår från tidigare forskning som har konstaterat fyra huvudsakliga faktorer som bidragit till uppkomsten av ensamhetskänslor, dessa är ?utan närrelation?, ?otillräckliga vänskapsband?, ?avvikande? och ?alienerad?. De två faktorerna ?utan närrelation? och ?otillräckliga vänskapsband? behandlas under samma tema i uppsatsen. Syftet är att utifrån dessa faktorer förklara hur känslor av ensamhet kan uppstå i samhället.

The situation on the Swedish labour market is different in opportunities whether you are a native Swede or someone who has a foreign background. People with foreign backgrounds tend to have lower wages, higher rate of unemployment and often have temporary employment contracts. There is a conception that the Swedish culture is the standard and other foreign cultures are abnormal and different. The purpose of this study has been to investigate why there is discrimination on the labour market against ethnic minorities and how the Swedish history has contributed to the structural ethnic discrimination that we are struggling with. I have been using the right dogmatic method and a social science perspective as complement in order to answer the purpose.

Background: In the schools today it is common that teachers talk about children with special needs and children with ?Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder? ? ADHD. You can often hear people discuss about children with ADHD from the teachers point of view, that pupils are hard to handle and that they do not know how to create a good relationship with them. But you seldom hear anyone talk about school from the children?s perspective, how they feel, think and experience their school attendance. Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine how a functional disability like ADHD can effect a childs schooling and also to show how pupils with ADHD themselves experience their school attendance and how they are being treated by teachers and other pupils.Method: In order to investigate this, five interviews was carried out with students in the the ages of 16-25.

Att arbeta som socialsekreterare kan innebära frustration och hur de anställda hanterar denna kan påverka deras arbete med klienterna. Huvudsyftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur chefer inom en klientnära verksamhet resonerar och agerar för att hjälpa de anställda att hantera känslor som kan uppkomma i arbetet. Ett delsyfte har också varit att utröna hur dessa eventuella åtgärder värderas bland de som arbetar nära klienterna. Metoden som användes var kvalitativ ? materialet bestod av djupintervjuer med enhetschefer på socialförvaltningar samt socialsekreterare.

?Syftet med vår uppsats är att söka svar på hur förskollärarna som arbetar i åldrarna 3-5 år väljer att arbeta med barns vänskapsrelationer i förskolans verksamhet, eftersom tidigare forskning visar att allt fler barn befinner sig i förskolan samt att vänskap för barn har stor betydelse för deras välbefinnande. Frågeställningar som vi söker svar på i vår uppsats är på vilket sätt genomför förskollärarna ett arbete med barns vänskapsrelationer i förskolan, om förskolläraren anser att barns vänskapsrelationer är ett arbetsområde att prioritera i förskolan samt vad förskolläraren anser om sitt eget deltagande i barns skapande av vänskapsrelationer. Vi söker svar på frågorna genom att göra en kvalitativ intervju med en förskollärare och observationer som ett komplement till intervjun. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt utgår vi från teorier om vad vänskap är för små barn och vilken betydelse vänskap har för barnen.
