This study is about how to develop younger teens problem solving ability and their social competence. The study carried through by using a qualitative method, two observations and ten interviews. The observations where preparatory for the structured interviews. The respondents where pupils in a class were it is an ongoing project which purpose is to develop childrens problem solving ability and social skills with cognitive training and an empowerment based reasoning model that is called rahyab. Rahyab is a Persian word and it means path- finding.

In today?s modern age, energy consumption has become a major issue, both from an environmental viewpoint and cost perspective. Because of a rapid technologic change and increased costs of production of electricity, the demand to develop effective methods for energy efficiency industries have grown.The electricity-intensive industries, such as plastic industry, the demand to reduce energy consumption has grown significantly over the past 10 years, which have led to the development of different methods to determine and locate energy-consuming parts in the industry. This also means being able to prioritize and organize activities in the industry.In this study the measurements of voltage, current, power and PF performance on injection molding machines (K-TEC 275 form Ferromatik Milacron in Germany) with a focus to locate, within a machine, various measures that could improve energy use in the plastics industry, in this case RostiGP in Gislaved. These measurements have been carried out with the help of a power quality clamp meter to carry out time logs of the machines for some time during normal word rate.

Inom ramen fo?r IVIN- projektet avsa?g fo?religgande studie att explorativt underso?ka vilka variabler som kan moderera behandlingsutfallet i en internetadministrerad KBT-behandling fo?r personer som upplever sva?righeter att reglera ilska, aggressioner eller utagerande beteenden i na?ra relationer. Sextiofem personer inkluderades och randomiserades till de tva? betingelserna behandlingsgrupp (n=32) och kontrollgrupp (n=33). Aktuell studie baserades pa? resultaten fo?r de deltagare som fyllt i fo?r- och efterma?tning (n = 59).

The aim of this study is to investigate how multiple tree handling harvesters perform compared to earlier developed standards. The study shows that multiple tree handling harvesters are more efficient in thinnings stands with mean stock volumes less than 0,12 m3fub per stock. The increased efficiency is different for different mean stem classes. In stands with a mean stem volume of 0,04 m3fub per stock, the increase can be as high as 40 percent while it is about 10 percent in stands with a mean stem volume of 0,12 m3fub. Comparisons have been done between stands that are felled with partly limbed stands and stands without partly limbed assortments. The difference in performance is clear and shows that the partly limbed assortments strengthen the multiple tree handling harvesters positive effects in low dimension thinnings.

Även om många beteendeproblem är resultat av psykologiska orsaker, är det alltid viktigt att förstå att det kan finnas en fysisk sjukdom som ligger bakom och orsakar störningen. Det finns klara samband mellan sjukdom tidigt i hundens liv och beteendeproblem i vuxen ålder. Det är flera störda beteenden som uppvisas, främst felriktad rädsla och aggression. Hunden kan även visa på onormalt sexuellt beteende och överdrivet skällande. Beteende påverkar i stark grad relationen till sin ägare.

I Sverige är det omkring 200 000 personer som fått diagnosen demens. Läkemedelskostnaderna för behandling av demenssymtomen anses uppgå till 160 miljoner kronor/år i Sverige. Att använda sig utav icke-farmakologiska omvårdnadsåtgärder kan ses som ett alternativ, både ur etisk synpunkt såväl som ekonomisk. Det är därför viktigt att sjuksköterskan känner till vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder som finns tillgängliga. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa sjuksköterskans icke-farmakologiska omvårdnadsåtgärder i omvårdnaden av oroliga, agiterade och aggressiva personer med demens.

The interest for functional strength training in golf has grown the last decade and scientists are always trying to find training stategies to improve the biomechanical aspects of the swing. Kinematic sequence contains a proximal-to-distal sequence order towards impact, and an effective kinematic sequence in the down swing begins with a rotation in the pelvis and follows by an activation in thorax, arms and club in the respective order. The rotational torques in the proximal segments wanders through the body and to the more distal segments to create an effective energy ? and power transfer at impact. The x-factor stretch is the seperation between the rotation in the pelvis and the thorax at the top of the back swing and at the beginning of the down swing.

Den här studien behandlar fenomenet ostracism/exkludering och dess konsekvenser. Studiens centrala syfte var att undersöka om det finns någon koppling mellan ostracism och aggressivt beteende, och hur kopplingen mellan exkluderade personer och deras aggressiva beteende i så fall kan förklaras. Studien är en litteraturstudie och utgår enbart ifrån artiklar som är hämtade inom det socialpsykologiska forskningsfältet. Den insamlingsmetod som har använts är inspirerad av ett systematiskt tillvägagångssätt. Artiklarnas påvisade samband mellan ostracism och aggressivt beteende har tolkats utifrån ett antal teoretiska begrepp och förklaringsmodeller som exempelvis: frustration, kontroll, hämnd, samt behov-hot modellen.

Ett verktyg för datorstödd interaktiv utbildning, Web-based Training, har utvecklats på Sigma Information Design. Två olika utvärderingsmetoder har använts för att öka dess användbarhet: heuristisk utvärdering och användartestning. Heuristisk utvärdering är en analytisk metod där expertutvärderare inspekterar gränssnittet för att predicera (förutse) användbarhetsproblem. Användartestning är en empirisk metod där tänkbara reella användare deltar och användbarhetsproblem observeras. Föreliggande studie fokuserar på användbarhets-problem som både prediceras med den analytiska metoden och observeras med den empiriska, så kallade ?träffar?.Analytiska metoder predicerar användbarhetsproblem genom att utpeka bristande ?intrinsic features?(gränssnittsegenskaper).

This study aims to investigate, describe and discuss the views of group new arrived pupils from the preparatory training to the compulsory school level. They all came to Sweden and started in the preparatory training there they also started studying Swedish as a second language. This study aims to investigate the creation of identities and how the pupils socialize in the Swedish school. The study has been conducted with respect to the pupil´s own perspectives and what they consider important.The methods used are interviews together with an interpreter. Their voices are used and described in this paper.

We have done a qualitative and quantitative study about math problems on second­ary school students. The study is based on the diagnosis, treatment and training of teachers, about students who have math difficulties. The aim of this work is to obtain teachers ?perceptions about students? diagnosis, treatment / improvement and continuing education for students who have math difficulties. By having interviewed various teachers through surveys we have received answers to their concerns about the diagnosis, treatment and the importance of continuous training of teachers on students? mathematics difficulties.

Studien undersöker hur man på ett praktiskt sätt kan knyta samman musikteori-, gehörs- och ensembleundervisningen. Syftet är att undersöka möjligheten att i jazzsammanhang träna sitt gehör i grupp vid sina instrument. Jag har utvecklat tre gehörsövningar som undersöks i den här studien. Övningarna är konstruerade så att exempelvis pianisten skall övas i att höra basgångar, medan basisten övas i att höra ackordläggningar. En av ensembledeltagarna (piano, gitarr, sång, blås eller bas) styr övningen och väljer hur ackordföljden ska fortsätta genom att följa vissa regler (exempelvis upplöses dominanter alltid ren kvart upp/ren kvint ner).

A peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) is a catheter that is inserted through a peripheral vein in the arm and then on to a central vein in the chest. It is used to give injections and infusions and to take blood samples of patients who need treatment for longer periods.The aim of this study was to investigate nurses' perceived knowledge of the care and use of PICC line in wards where PICC line does not occur daily. The aim was also to investigate if the nurses expressed a need and wished for more knowledge to be able to use PICC line, and if PICC line is not used investigate the cause of that.The study was of a descriptive design with quantitative approach. An online survey was answered by 40 nurses from five wards at a university hospital in central Sweden.A large number of the nurses who responded to the survey reported that they lacked knowledge of the care and use of PICC line. Despite this, three-quarters of the nurses usually use PICC line at the infusion / injection / blood tests on patients with PICC line, if they are cared for in their ward.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how small organisations within the subject field health and training work with their environmental scanning. The main questions in this thesis are: How do the organisations work with business intelligence/environmental scanning? What is their environment like and of which parts does it consist? How extensive is their work with business intelligence/ environmental scanning? Which are their main fields of application and how is the work compiled practically? In order to answer these questions we have chosen to use a qualitative method, which in our case consists of two interviews with people in managerial positions within the health and training subject field. The result of the two interviews is presented in a compilation, and it is thereafter discussed and analyzed. We used an existing theoretical model and altered it in order to correspond to the aim of this research..

Två gånger per år genomförs kompetensinvesteringar för ingenjörer på GKN Aerospace Sweden AB. Konceptet går under benämningen Training Days. Syftet med investeringen är att höja kompetensen bland de ca 400 ingenjörerna. I anslutning till utbildningsdagarna genomförs en enkätundersökning för att se till deltagarnas åsikter om Training Days. Problemet är att det aldrig undersökt vilken inställning och synsätt medarbetarna har till lärande och utveckling och om de olika perspektiven i sådana fall påverkar effekterna av investeringarna.Den kvalitativa fallstudien syftar till att undersöka om ingenjörernas perspektiv på lärande och kompetens påverkar organisationens utveckling.
