During and after World War II Sweden was spying in the occupied Baltic countries which had been occupied, from 1943 by Nazi Germany and from 1944 by the Soviet Union. It began in 1943, with the Germans still occupying the Baltic countries, when Sweden and its intelligence service ?C-byrån? recruited volunteers among the Baltic refugees in Sweden and sent them back to the countries they had fled from. Many of the Baltic refugees to Sweden were men aged 25-45 so the Swedish intelligence service had a good recruiting source. This started the first period of intelligence operations in the three Baltic countries.

Factors such as time directive, poor diet and shift work characterize the profession and puts drivers' health at risk. Current research shows that the vast majority of lorry drivers are overweight, suffer from high stress related to work and have on average a very low consumption of fruits and vegetables.

The European Union has set new requirements as well in purpose of reducing humanity?s negative effect on the climate and therefore the international real estate market has introduced Green Building-certificates in order to decrease the real estate industry?s environmental impact.Certificated buildings with low energy consumption are a more common sight in Sweden these days. The development, however, could go even faster if there was not certain difficulties between property owners and tenants. Previous research has revealed that tenants do not always have knowledge about, or may have access to the economic benefits that a green building can provide.

Många av dagens miljöproblem är kopplade till urbana områden. I strävan efter att nå enekologisk hållbar utveckling är det av stor vikt att städerna för ett aktivt miljöarbete. Sedan1970-talet har EU arbetat med miljöfrågor och utarbetat flera strategier för hur en hållbarstadsmiljö ska uppnås i Europas städer. Under senare år har allt fler av länderna i Europaanslutit sig till unionen, vilket medfört en stor differentiering mellan medlemsländerna. Förmedlemsstater inom den Europeiska unionen som ännu inte har ett välutvecklat miljöarbetehar EU en viktig roll att spela.

Huvudsyftet för denna studie var att undersöka hur mödrar till tonåringar, med skilda kulturella erfarenheter och etniskt ursprung, upplevde sitt moderskap i det senmoderna så kallade risk-samhället idag. Syftet var att efterforska om det gick att påvisa likheter och/eller skillnader i hur mödrarna såg på själva moderskapet och uppfostran och vilken betydelse etnicitet hade i sammanhanget. Resultat av denna studie skulle kunna påvisa implikationer för socialt arbete och politisk agenda.Studien baseras på intervjuer med mödrar med kurdiskt, arabiskt och svenskt ursprung i fokusgrupper med blandade konstellationer. Totalt 23 mödrar intervjuades i fyra grupper under ca 2 timmar och dokumenterades genom film på dator. Sex korta och öppna frågeställningar var formulerade och förberedda inför intervjuerna.

Today, there are few industries left in our cities. Industrial areas thatare located in urban settings close to water or city centers are oftenreplaced by housing. In my thesis I want to explore how such industrialsite located in an urban setting can be transformed into anindustrial park where the industrial structures are saved. By approachingthis type of environment in a positive manner, I wish tohighlight the potential aesthetic and functional value in the existingindustrial structure. Through the transformation and design of anexisting industrial site I will convey the previous use and history ofthe place.The wastewater treatment plant, Kungsängsverket, is located in thedistrict of Kungsängen in the southern part of Uppsala.

The aim of my study is to answer the question whether there is a potential for services by working horses in the Swedish municipalities. The Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and Swedish Farmers Union (LRF) has started a cooperation called Climate School (Klimatskolan), with the purpose to increase knowledge in environmental and climate related issues in context of agriculture. This Master thesis is in the framework of the Climate School.Global warming is a problem that gets much attention today. Global warming and climate change are two subjects that are very much in focus on the political agenda. The municipalities of Sweden have a big responsibility concerning environmental work and to develop their own environmental thinking.

Ett effektivare logistikflöde bidrar till reducerade kostnader och ökad lönsamhet för byggföretaget. Med flertalet interna och externa aktörer inblandade räcker det inte att byggentreprenören är individuellt effektiv, utan också effektiv tillsammans med övriga aktörer i försörjningskedjan. Därav krävs det för ett effektivt logistikflöde, fokus på både produktions- och materialflödet såväl som det tillhörande informationsflödet. Denna studie syftar därför till att ur ett ledningsperspektiv identifiera och beskriva problem kopplade till produktions-, material- och informationsflödet vid en byggarbetsplats, samt att identifiera åtgärder för att effektivisera dessa flöden.En fallstudie bestående av intervjuer och observationer genomfördes på Nåiden Bygg AB:s byggarbetsplats i Gäddvik, där produktions-, material- och informationsflödet studerades.

Ett användningsområde som tillverkaren och leverantören Borgstena Group Sweden AB använder polyuretan till är lastbilars väggpaneler. This study examines the experiences and perspectives of after-school program teachers through a qualitative research approach. The purpose is to deepen the understanding of their experiences within the after-school setting and how these insights might contribute to the development of this environment. Semi-structured and narrative interviews were used for data collection, allowing a flexible and open conversational format where participants could express both concrete opinions and implicit thoughts. Following Ahrne and Svensson's (2022) argument, which emphasizes the importance of qualitative interviews in capturing experiences of individuals active within specific social settings, this method is considered well-suited for the study?s purpose. The narrative interviews provided the interviewees with the freedom to describe their own experiences in detail, while the semi-structured interviews ensured a foundational structure and opportunities for follow-up questions.
