Human rights have been added to the new curriculum which came into force the 1st of July 2011 in the Swedish Upper Secondary school. The purpose with this master thesis is to compare the old and the new curriculum as part of an examination of what way they affect the Social Science education. Further the analysis focus on what is affecting discourses in the Social Science about human rights, as well as its communication and incorporation in its education. The empirical material consists of the schools steering documents and interviews with Social Science teachers. The theoretical framework is based on human rights education (HRE) and curriculum theory.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att undersöka elevers fysiska aktivitet under lektioner i idrott och hälsa samt att se vad lektionstiden används till. Ytterligare ett syfte är att studera sambandet mellan lektionsinnehållet och den fysiska aktiviteten.Hur är lektionstiden fördelad på olika kategorier av lektionsinnehåll?Hur stor del av lektionstiden för idrott och hälsa är eleverna måttligt till kraftigt fysiskt aktiva?Vilket lektionsinnehåll ger mest respektive minst fysisk aktivitet?MetodMetoden som användes var systematisk observation. Ett observationsprotokoll utformades och användes vid observationstillfällena. En årskurs 6-9 skola valdes för genomförande av observationen.

The aim of this study was to examine how the feelings of ?being met? from personnel can affect suicidal youth and their parents, when searching for help. Five Swedish parents share their experiences of ?being met? by personnel regarding the care of their child who has taken their life. ?Face to face? interviews where done with four of the parents.

Detta projekt fokuserar på distansstudenter och deras studiesituation i tre nätbaserade kurser. Genom en empirisk studie bestående av samtal med studenter och lärare, samt deltagande observation, har vi försökt finna lösningar för att förbättra studenternas lärandemiljö. De sociala faktorerna visade sig vara av stor betydelse i en studieform som tidigare kännetecknats av isolation mellan studenter och lärare. Projektet visar på hur en nätbaserad utbildningsplattform genom enkla tekniska lösningar kan ta hänsyn till studentens behov i fråga om att stödja kommunikation och samarbete..

Caran has a strong belief that women leaders affect the financial profitability positive. Since women leaders are intangible resources it is very difficult to calculate its exact value. The authors found that one of their measurement methods can’t be used to calculate the value of women leaders. The other measurement method can calculate significance between women and men leaders and provides an index to be compared to other groups. But there is no prove that women are better creating value than their men colleagues, the figures indicate that women add more value due to their lower wages.

Stroke är en av vårt lands vanligaste folksjukdom och sjukdomen drabbar den enskilde personen i olika grad. Sjukdomen kan innebära livslångt handikapp för den som drabbas. ADL-träning som utförs hjälper patienten att få tillbaka en del av den förmåga som förlorats genom sjukdomen och därigenom få livskvalitet. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur inneliggande strokepatienters ADLträning såg ut. Frågeställningarna var: Vad var planerat i varje patients ADLträning, vilken ADL-träning fick respektive patient och vilken personal var behjälplig. Studien utgjordes av observationer under en och en halv vecka på en vårdavdelning i södra Sverige. Resultatet visar att strokepatienternas mål klarades att uppfyllas med hjälp av kontinuerlig rehabilitering..

The study is a case study about the green urban district, East Kvillebäcken, located in Gothenburg, Hisingen. East Kvillebäcken is the first urban district in Sweden with ambition to build sustainable according to the certification system Miljöbyggnad, which make it a pioneer project. The purpose is to investigate the upcoming and the meaning of the green urban district in East Kvillebäcken and show how public employees think the urban district can affect social, ecologic and economic aspects in the area. Dialogue interviews were done with four public employees, one estate agent and two residents. Local plans and other authority documents were used to get a deeper understanding for the case study.

The aim of this study was to investigate how maternity and child care was carried out at Regional Hospital in Morogoro, Tanzania as well as how it was perceived by mothers and children. The study was conducted with a qualitative method through observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that the staff knew what they were doing and how they should treat their patients and that they helped them without thinking about preventive measures. The study concluded that people wanted to seek the care provided at the hospital and some people stated that they had confidence in the staff. The people that came to the hospital sought care for various diseases and conditions and they all got medical attention of some sort.

As demand for renewable energy is increasing rapidly, the market for biomass pellets is expected to continue to grow in the near future. Most of the new raw materials that are discussed for pellet production have one thing in common; the production costs will increase compared to using traditional raw materials such as sawdust and planer shavings. The aim of this thesis is to investigate to what degree increased use of new raw materials for pellet production will affect the general pellet prices in Sweden and to survey what plans Swedish pellet producers have concerning new raw materials. To investigate the raw material situation of the Swedish pellet producers an industry survey was performed. Literature studies were also made on previous research in the subject field. Calculations of the production costs for pellets were done for the raw materials sawdust, wet sawmill chips and energy wood respectively. New raw materials are already used by the large-scale pellet producers in Sweden.

Södra Cell Mörrum is one of the five paper pulp plants that are included in Södra Cell, and the paper pulp that is produced here is not only sold to Swedish paper mills. Most of the paper pulp is exported to different countries in Europe. In the manufacturing process the plant needs different kind of process water and there are guideline values for how much copper, iron and sodium this water is allowed to contain. Analyzes of this water is in the current situation done with an atomic absorption spectrometric instrument (AAS-instrument) with a flame. Measurements done with flame-AAS of samples that have concentrations near the guideline values for copper, iron and sodium, are not reliable. The reason for not being reliable is that the quantitation limits of these metals are higher than the limit values.

The office is the working environment in which an increasing proportion of the population spends their days . One type of office are open plan offices which are characterized by several people sitting together in the same room without spatial boundaries . The general discourse of this kind of offices is that they constitute an advantageous design that allows organizational changes without the need for redevelopment . From a work perspective, this office design is both criticized and acclaimed . Problems with noise is frequently reported in research which can lead to ill health.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka samband som visas tydligt hos elever i både matematiksvårigheter samt fonologiska svårigheter. Studien har genomförts på elever i årskurs 7 som uppvisat matematiska såväl som fonologiska svårigheter. Resultatet baseras på en filmad observation där eleverna fått lösa ett urval uppgifter konstruerade utifrån svårigheter gällande grundläggande taluppfattning och aritmetik. Elever med fonologiska svårigheter såväl som bristande arbetsminne visar sig ha svårigheter när det gäller att automatisera tabellkunskap såväl som utföra beräkningar gällande de fyra räknesätten..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera användningen av inlärningsstilar i ett klassrum. Vilka möjligheter till att använda flera olika inlärningsstilar tar eleverna samt vilka möjligheter som läraren ger. Vilka inlärningsstilar används allmänt i klassrummet och även specifikt under läs- och skriftspråkundervisningen. Undersökningen gjordes i en F-2 klass på en skola i mellersta Sverige. Metoden som användes var observation.

Att jag valde att skriva ett arbete om lärande på museum och dess relevans grundar sig i mitt eget intresse för museum som jag alltid haft. Jag har alltid uppskattat ett museibesök och alltid känt att det varit givande. Därför ville jag med detta arbete ta reda på, med hjälp av Gamla Uppsala museum, hur de arbetar mot förskolan och vad som ses som relevant för dessa barn. Jag vill ta reda på hur de arbetar och vad de har för syfte bakom det lärande det vill förmedla till barnen. För att ta reda på detta samlade jag på mig tidigare forskning om detta ämne och läste in mig på vad museipedagogik innebär.

In this development essay, we are trying to answer how drama studies in education could develop as a subject. Through participation observations and drama lessons in a development group we investigated how drama could develop within multimodality and how this new thinking could promote the identity among the youth. Two different drama lessons and one test lesson constitute our qualitative method. The methods we mainly used were participation observation and reflection. Through Lalanders and Johanssons, Skolan och den radikala estetikens and Ziehes theories we are trying to answer our questions.
