The main objective in this study is to examine the pupil?s possibility to affect the upper secondary schools in Stockholm, Sweden. I was once active in the pupil?s council and experienced some hardships, feeling a great dissatisfaction among teachers and principals against pupil?s suggestions and chances to affect their school environment. Thus I wanted to do a contemporary study of where schools in Stockholm stand today within this issue.

Hypertension is one of the most common reasons for visiting primary care. It is one of the most important modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease, suffering and death. Lifestyle change, such as increased physical activity is the foundation of treatment of hypertension. Lifestyle change starts as a process in which patients can be helped by a nurse through conscious communication, educate and support increased physical exercise.AimThe aim of this study was to investigate the district nurse´s experiences of interacting with patients with hypertension about physical activity.MethodIndividual qualitative study. Ten nurses from health center were interviewed.

There is an ongoing evolution in scholarly communication. The traditional way of communicating scholarly results through scientific journals is beginning to be replaced by other means of dissemination. One new channel for scholars to communicate their results is digital publication in so-called open archives. An open archive is a kind of full text database, where a scholar may archive/publish his or her articles, as a complement or a substitute to publishing in scientific journals. There are discipline-oriented archives and institutional archives.

At present indoor tethering of dairy cows is still common but is not predicted to take part of modern dairy production. When conducting scientific studies of cattle it is generally necessary to tether the animals to maintain a controlled environment. Studies confirm that tethering and confinements of cattle severely affects the development of stereotypies in cattle. The feeding regime and feeding level have an immense affect on the stereotypi level in cattle. The aim of this experiment was to study dairy heifers that had never been tethered before the start of the experiment, to evaluate the affect of tethering on the development of stereotypies and the impact of the feeding regime on the behavior of the animals. Sixteen dairy heifers were tethered in a tie stall and divided in two groups with different treatments. Heifers in treatment E were fed restrictedly with silage and treatment EH was fed with the same amount of silage but also straw ad libitum.

Non-compulsory schools in Sweden should make use of the knowledge and experience that is available in society according to the aims and objectives of the Curriculum for the Non-Compulsory School System - Lpf 94. There are however only a few studies which have focused on the contacts between non-compulsory schools and society as represented by the business world in Sweden.The purpose of this study is to examine in what ways and to what extent non-compulsory schools are following the Curriculum by using the knowledge and experience of the business world. The perspectives have been: Which contacts in the business world and which working practices from the business world are implemented in teaching in non-compulsory schools? In what way do these contacts and working practices affect the teaching and learning of business administration? The purpose of this study is also to examine if the teachers in non-compulsory schools use business information and different kinds of business knowledge and experiences in order to keep themselves up-to-date regarding the business world. The perspectives have been: Are the teachers using up-to-date business information or business experience? Are the teachers applying a multicultural perspective in teaching business studies? In what way does this kind of information or first-hand experience affect the teaching and learning of business administration?The method used in this study was to interview seven teachers from two non-compulsory schools in Stockholm.

We want to identify the gap that consists of the expectations we have of Brazilian / Swedish culture with the self-image of these individuals included in the culture of question. This gap, we believe, creates a problem for business across borders. IT exist and are needed in larger organisations today, this creates possibilities for new applications. It has become more frequent with IT within HRM which has developed new concepts like e-HRM and HRIS which links IT and HRM together. We have through qualitative content analysis of interviews investigated how IT-tools affect HR-workmanship. The purpose is to create a basis for describing how employees experience their work with HR within a PA-system. The basis of the PA-system will then answer if it contributes or limits the employees and their activities.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how a bank?s features and internal factors have affected its choice of method in calculating the capital requirement.Theoretical and Empirical Method: The research strategy of this study has been of a qualitative nature with a deductive approach. The choice of method was depth interviews with respondents from a targeted sample of Swedish banks. These respondents were chosen based on the knowledge they possess as key employees in the capital requirement process and their involvement in choosing their banks? method for calculating the capital requirement.

Så länge människan mår bra och har hälsan tar hon livet för givet. Förr i tiden var fysiska ansträngningar ett måste för överlevnadens skull. Vi arbetade från morgon till kväll, stora som små, med tunga sysslor både hemma på gårdarna och ute i arbetslivet. Idag är arbetssysslorna mer stilla sittande och kroppen får inte den rörelse som den är skapt för som i sin tur kan skapa ohälsa. Förr arbetade vi ihjäl oss, idag "vilar" vi oss till döds.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att undersöka hur klassrumsorganisationen påverkar koncentrationssvaga elevers arbetsförmåga i matematik- och svenskundervisningen.  Frågeställningarna har behandlat skillnader i förekomsten av koncentrerat arbete mellan ämnenas olika moment, samt utifrån olika arbetsformer. Genom observationer och intervjuer har jag samlat in empirisk data som gett mig underlag för resultatet. Studiens resultat visar att koncentrationssvaga elevers arbetsförmåga påverkas negativt av undervisning som innefattar många rörliga inslag och där de lämnas åt sig själva att komma igång med sina uppgifter. Både observation och intervjuresultaten visar att undervisning i halvklass i jämförelse med i helklass, har en god inverkan på koncentrationssvaga elevers arbetsförmåga, särskilt i matematikundervisningen..

Large-scale land investments is not a new phenomenon, but increasing prices on food and agrofuels have inflated prices on land and has led to an enhanced interest in landinvestments from a range of different actors. The ProSavana project in the Nacala corridor in the Nampula province, northern Mozambique is a large-scale land investment with the purpose of establishing intensive commercial agriculture and is planned to be implemented this year (2013). The project is financed by Brazil and Japan in collaboration with the government of Mozambique. It is not quite clear how large-scale land investments affect the areas they are implemented in and how they can affect the possibilities for sustainable development in these areas. Both opportunities and problems can be observed within the social, economic and ecological dimensions of sustainable development.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka sjuksköterskans kommunikation med patienter vid inskrivningssamtal inför elektiva operationer. På en kirurgisk mottagning på ett sjukhus i södra Sverige genomfördes 13 observationer och analyserades med inspiration av innehållsanalys. Resultatet mynnade ut i fem kategorier: Information bidrog till transaktioner, Förståelse för patienten, Ett tillåtande klimat, Att bli störd och Hjälpmedel. Resultatet diskuterades med hjälp av Imogene Kings teori om sjuksköterskors kommunikation, och det framkom att ett respektfullt bemötande lugnade patienten och skapade en trygg miljö som underlättade kommunikationen och påverkade informationsutbytet..

Med hjälp av aktivitetsteorin och teorin om praktikgemenskaper undersöks i denna uppsats vad som påverkar Scanias teknikinformatörers skrivande. Syftet är att se om det går att välja vad som ska påverka skivandet samt pröva teoriernas tillämplighet och användbarhet för språkkonsulter. Sammanlagt har 35 teknikinformatörer deltagit genom deltagande observation, enkät och intervju. Resultaten visar att det främst är den dagliga förhandlingen och befintliga texter som påverkar nya texters utformning. Praktikgemenskapsteorin och aktivitetsteorin visade sig vara mycket användbara under undersökningen och kan vara ett bra verktyg fo?r språkkonsulter i deras arbete..

This Master Thesis is a product development project that has been carried out in cooperation with Scania CV AB. The purpose has been to find the relationship between geometric parameters and the swirl number for an XPI- cylinder head in order to improve the design specification.The increased focus on environmental issues from society leads to tighter emission legislations for the truck manufactures. In order to drive the development forward considerable resources are spent on research and development on diesel engines and its combustion process. The inlet air has a significant impact on the formation of emissions and the flow that is desired is called swirl. Swirl is achieved by making the air rotate around the vertical axis of the cylinder.Earlier cylinder heads that has been developed at Scania CV AB have shown clear relationships between geometric parameters of the cylinder head and the swirl number.
