The theme of this essay is the principle of free access to the Swedish Public Libraries, and its aim is to fmd out the opinion of adult visitors of such libraries as regards the introduction of fees on the borrowing of books, already existing fees such as reservation fees, charges for interlibrary loans and charges for the late return of books.The main part of our survey comprises questionnaires that were handed out to 100 visitors at the Norrkoping City Library and 100 visitors at the Eskilstuna City and Provincial Library. In order to illustrate the fee problem from another angle, interviews with staff people from the two libraries were carried out A large part of the essay consists of material aiming to give a general picture of the subject, e.g. how the "free of charge principle" is tied to the Swedish library system, what arguments have been presented to maintain or reverse this principle, and a comparison of the relative situation in other countries. As the conception of popular education is so basic for the "free of charge principle", we also account for the idea of popular education.The result of our questionnaire shows, among other things, that 60,9% cannot consider paying for any of the free services offer by the libraries today, 21,3% answered that they could possibly consider paying for some of the services and 17,8% answered that they didn't know. 76% would rather pay for a library card than stop borrowing books altogether..

Restriktioner och tvångsåtgärder som tvångsmedicinering, avskiljning och fastspänning kan förekomma. Syfte: Syftet är att belysa hur patienter upplever tvångsåtgärder inom psykiatrisk vård. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie baserad på 12 vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ ansats. Antonovskys Känsla av sammahang har använts som teoretisk referensram.

The aim of present study was to evaluate the prevalences of Sarcoptes scabiei in Thai stray dogs. The study was performed in Pattaya, Thailand, and included 62 stray dogs, all cross-breeds. Degree and type of skin lesions, and presence of macroscopic ectoparasites were recorded for each individual. Blood samples were collected to determine the seroprevalences of IgG-antibodies against S. scabiei with ELISA.

I have done a study to see what perceptions held by two principals and four teachers, if adult behavior and attitudes towards each other will affect the climate between the students and put it in relation to the fundamental values of work and policy documents. I have also examined how they describe their work environment in their daily work and how they work to combat bullying.I have used qualitative interviews as a method to get answers to my questions. The interviews took place at two different schools, in which I interviewed a headmaster and two teachers at both schools. What emerged during the interviews were compiled and processed with aid based on previous research and theories which focus is in a social constructionist approach.The results as it shows in my study highlights a consensus among the interviewees that the personnel group working atmosphere affects the climate between the students and that there is a good understanding of the impact they have. The study also shows that the experience of their work climate affects by how the communication between management and staff looks likes and how many resources there are in the form of personnel.

Syftet har varit att studera chefers uppfattningar om en omorganisation i ett företag i transportbranschen. Den fråga jag ställt mig är vilken betydelse gemensamma mål och visioner, delaktighet och tid för utvecklingsarbete, ett stödjande förändringsledarskap samt en kultur som främjar lärande har haft i en omorganisation som genomförts i Företaget X. Den metod som använts har varit kvalitativa intervjuer som tagit utgångspunkt i hermeneutiken där framför allt innebörder och intentioner studerats. Respondenterna har bestått av åtta chefer vid Företaget X. Det framkommer att omorganisationen inte lyckats till fullo utifrån de mål som sattes upp.

Kompetensutveckling under arbetsplatsförlagd utbildning inom sluten somatisk vård för omvårdnadsstuderande på vuxenutbildning.Sammanfattning: Arbetsplatsförlagd utbildning (APU) har en central plats på omvårdnadsutbildning för vuxenstuderande. Det är därför av vikt att APU:n gynnar de studerandes möjligheter till kompetensutveckling. Vårt syfte är att undersöka hur vuxenstuderande inom omvårdnadsutbildning upplever förutsättningar för sin kompetensutveckling under APU inom sluten somatisk vård. För att kunna besvara syftet har en abduktiv kvalitativ metod utifrån det sociokulturella perspektivet använts och semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts. Det empiriska materialet bygger på intervjuer före och efter APU:n med åtta omvårdnadsstuderande.

Konsumtionstillfällena är få och oftast placerade vid veckoslutet, det är mer accepterat att vara full en fredagskväll är mer än en måndagsmorgon. Beslut från regeringen avser mål och insatser för bland annat användandet av alkohol samt att minska bruket av det. Att begränsa alkoholens negativa effekter har länge varit en viktig fråga för folkhälsan. I och med detta skapades kampanjen Varannan vatten, för att minska berusningsdrickandet i samhället.

Vi lever i ett informations- och teknologisamhälle och i våra dagliga aktiviteter omges vi av vardagsteknik (VT) på olika sätt och i olika svårighetsgrad. Denna VT kan innefatta allt från brödrost till mer avancerade datasystem och tjänster. Tidigare studier visar att personer med kognitiv funktionsnedsättning kan uppleva svårigheter i användandet av VT i sina dagliga aktiviteter. Dock finns inga studier som visar relevans och svårigheter med VT för yngre vuxna utan kognitiv funktionsnedsättning. Därför vill vi med den här studien beskriva relevans och svårigheter i användandet av VT hos yngre vuxna utan kända kognitiva funktionsnedsättningar.

This master?s thesis is a comparative study of how library users? freely chosen tags/keywords deviate from controlled vocabulary made by professional indexers when representing fiction. The thesis answers four main questions:? Do the tags that the library users give fictional works correspond to the categories used in professional indexing in Sweden?? Do the tags follow the standards for vocabulary, semantics and syntax used when indexing professionally?? Do the tags add something to document representations?? Are there differences between the tags used for adult fiction and the tags used for children?s literature?With a starting point in indexing theories of Frederick W. Lancaster, Annelise Pejtersen, and the semiotic theory of the indexing process of Jens-Erik Mai, 383 tags from totally 70 fictional works are analyzed.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av livskvalitet samt sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder i samband med cytostatikabehandling vid cancersjukdom. För att besvara studiens syfte har sökning efter artiklar (n=17) genomförts i databaserna Blackwell Synergy samt Elin@Dalarna. Följande sökord har använts i olika kombinationer; cancer, patients, experience, nurse care, quality of life, scale, instrument, chemotherapy och care. Resultatet visade att cytostatikabehandlingen hade både positiv och negativ inverkan på patienternas livskvalitet. Livskvaliteten ökade då symtom lindrades.

Syftet med studien är att få en djupare inblick i hur en kvinna kan påverkas som barn men även som vuxen av att växa upp i en familj där den ena föräldern är alkoholmissbrukare. Intresseområdet är att studera uppväxtförhållanden samt hur dessa påverkar individen psykiskt, fysiskt och socialt. Då tidigare forskning i huvudsak fokuserar på hur pojkar och män påverkas av att växa upp i familjer där en förälder missbrukar alkohol, inriktar sig denna studie på kvinnor. För att få en djupare inblick i problemområdet valdes en kvalitativ metod där fyra kvinnor intervjuades. I studien framkommer flera likheter mellan kvinnorna, exempelvis funktioner inom familjesystemet, så som lojalitet, samt de roller som kvinnorna antog.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the theories and visions of five futuristic projects at children's libraries in Sweden and Denmark to investigate if these projects have approaches that are significantly different from today's best practices of the libraries and the current theories behind the children's sections.More specific questions are also asked:Are the projects taking advantage of the children's perspective or is it the adult vision of children's needs that is governing?Are the projects promoting collaborations with other actors, thereby facilitating a future development of the children's library by others than librarians?The comparisons reveal that new methods and tools are beeing developed, while the traditional ambitions and views on children and children's needs are essentially unchanged. The role of the library as a social room and meeting place has increased, while its role as a place for finding and transferring information has been challenged by Internet and home computers. The library can still compete as a public place offering relevant contents and assistance by attentive, well-educated adults.In conclusion, the futuristic projects are expected to promote greater variations between children's libraries, by presenting literature, media and information in many different and more innovative ways. Such greater diversity and multiplicity would allow the libraries to market themselves with a clearer message in order to compete with other (commercial) activities for children..

The purpose of this study is to highlight the situation for youths leaving foster care and entering adult life. The study examines the services provided by the social service in the Stockholm area when a youth is leaving foster care, and if a recent change in the legislation has had any impact on the operating procedures of the social service. The study includes interviews with youths who recently left foster care, as well as information collected from social service offices through a survey, supplemented by interviews with practicing social workers. All the assembled data have been analyzed using Ecological Systems theory with focus on the child perspective and the term significant others. The study shows that the respondent youth have trouble identifying the formal ending with social services, as well as the support they received or were offered.
