Background:Companies are beginning to see the world as their market; not only to seek global opportunities but also to oversee the global competition. Although most people connect globalization to export and import of goods, the globalization process also affect the businesses distinguished by service. The corporations are faced with higher demands of Adaptation, which in turn leads to higher needs of skills and knowledge, which of course is very important in business such as the hotel industry. A motivated employee can perform better and furthermore has a stronger sense of belonging to the organization and might therefore be a key to future success of the company.Purpose:The main purpose of this essay is to compare the motivation strategies and reward systems chosen by the management and match this with what the employees are requesting. By doing this we can compare the different objects studied in this essay and furthermore we will be able to see which hotel that has the best match.

Industrialization of construction is by some considered to be a solution to the building industry's problems about the lack of quality, high production costs, low productivity and poor environmental Adaptation. Meanwhile, industrialized construction partly earned a bad reputation after the million housing program. As large-scale projects where promoted during this period, it worked very well to use the technique of construction elements. In the mid seventies though, criticism arose which claimed that the aesthetic qualities had been deprived in the corporates effort to make housing production as efficient as possible.Tyréns, Derome and CBBT (centre for building and housing in wood) cooperates in a development project to develop a building system for 4-8-storey buildings, consisting of three platforms: a technology platform, an IT platform and a processing platform. The technology platform consists of flexible, industrially built flat modules of wood and from this platform the subsystem stairwells, is broken out.

The aim of this study is to learn about and demonstrate the process in which Försäkringskassan (The Swedish Social Insurance Agency) customizes texts and the texts linguistics influence on a potential beneficiary. I use three different questions to fulfill the purpose of the study. I examine what the manuals writers of Försäkringskassan use say about the issues of sentence length, addressing the beneficiaries and wording ? three language features that represent different perspectives within plain language research. Furthermore, I examine how decision texts are created and tailored for its beneficiary group and how the language in decisions is perceived by potential beneficiaries.

This masters thesis is a study of the ideas brought forward in the literary magazine 40-tal. The methodology involves the Adaptation of a literary sociological perspective where the ideas of the young literary avantgarde in the magazine 40-tal interplays with the established philosophy of the Swedish society during the period 1944-47. The main purpose has been to examine 40-tal as a product of supreme individuality that originates a unique climate of ideas which exceeds the involved collaborators individual writings. I have thereby related my analysis to the Marxist oriented theories of Raymond Williams. This has been done in order to see how the external pressure of the social structure and the market acts together with the internal pressure of keeping up with the times and how this affects the individual authors and the process of creating.

Investment aid is a part of the Rural Area Programme, which contains support to Swedish agriculture and the countryside. There is a new programme every seventh year and SLU (Swedish University of Agriculture) has the mission to perform the evaluation of the previous programme, which lasted between 2000 -2006. The investment aid's aim is to support investments that, among other things, support the Adaptation or conversion to more environmentally friendly production methods, improves the product quality, develops new or complementing activities, and improves the environment and the animal- and working environment. The question is if it's only money that matters for these kinds of investments to be done and what has happened with the money that was paid? This thesis investigates how the investment aid has affected the receivers.

Effects of Menstrual Cycle and Oral Contraceptives on Sport Performance During the menstrual cycle, there is a variation of the female steriod hormones estrogen and progestogen. These hormones has mainly reproduktive functions, but do also affect other physiological systems, which may have an influence on athletic performance. The use of oral contraceptives among female athletes matches the use among the general population. There is a concern among female athletes and there coaches weather oral contraceptives can affect the performance. The purpose of this litterature review is to determine the effect of the menstrual cycle and the use of oral contraceptives on athletic performance.

Laminitis has crippled horses through times and many cures have been used to treat it. Since the mechanism of the disease is yet not fully understood, treatments are only ways to alleviate the pain and at best, slow down the pathological process enough to make time for improvement. This paper is a retrospective study of 71 horses treated by a protocol at Hästsjukhuset Strömsholm. The protocol implies three visits at zero, five and fifteen weeks. At each the horse is evaluated and treated by a veterinarian.

Sammanfattning Syftet med denna intervjustudie var att undersöka huvudhandledares och kliniskt utbildningsansvarigas uppfattning om undervisnings- och handledningssituationen på en anestesiklinik. Totalt intervjuades 6 huvudhandledare och 5 kliniskt utbildningsansvariga. Intervjuerna transkriberades och analyserades utifrån en fenomenografisk ansats enligt Starrin & Svenssons (2007) analysmetod. Huvudhandledaruppdraget uppfattades som att befinna sig i en oförutsägbar situation och en svårbedömd undervisningsmiljö, vilket ställde krav på noggrann planering och tydlig kommunikation, samt lösningar genom kompromisser. Huvudhandledarna uppfattade även att de hade en övergripande stödjande funktion gentemot överbelastade handledare, utsatta studenter och nyanställd personal.

Actors deliberately change their preferences, contrary to the assumptions of rational decision models. This study shows why, and to some extent how. Preferences are necessarily ambiguous and unstable. Rationality is a regulating myth which has had a profound influence on Western conceptions of what an actor is.The aim of this study is to help individual actors understand the theoretical grounds of their actions. The analysis provides tools for examining decision methods and preference changes.

The meaning of the concept of psychosocial treatment is ambiguous. The purpose of this study was to examine how professionals within some care institutions, which provide methadone, buprenorphine or naloxone treatment, regard and carry out the psychosocial features of such treatment. Central issues discussed were; how personnel approach the psychosocial features of the treatment, what personnel regard as a focus in the psychosocial treatment, what conditions personnel consider affect treatment positively in order for it to be successful and how personnel see the relation between the medical and psychosocial features of the treatment. The method used was interviews with nine professionals in six qualitative interviews. The theoretical perspectives and concepts used in our analysis were; the theory of biological dependence, an organizational perspective, Prochaska and DiClemente's Stages of Change Model, the concept of individual reality and the concept of marginal conflict.Results show that the conditions most important for successful treatment are; that the patient has a place to live, an occupation, motivation, that the patient take responsibility for his/hers progress and have realistic expectations about the effects of the medicine.

The agricultural sector has historically seen stable prices and a relatively constant demand for its products. Companies within the sector have generally had few loans and large sums of money tied in assets. The profitability of the companies has on the other hand been low. Together these circumstances have determined the creditors? demands on the companies within the sector and have formed the rules and regulations that exist today.

SammanfattningBakgrund: Diabetes förekommer hos 3-4 procent av Sveriges befolkning. Uppkomsten av diabetes är ofta relaterad till livsstil. Hur människor upplever att få diagnosen påverkar synen på sjukdom och framtid. Människor som får sjukdomen är i behov av stöd från vårdpersonal. Syfte: Beskriva vuxnas upplevelser av stöd efter att ha fått diagnosen diabetes mellitus.

This study is based on motivation theory, communication theory and knowledge about change management and workshop arrangement. The aim of the study is to develop a communication strategy which increases motivation for sustainability work in municipalities.Main focus of this report is to (1) determine whether motivation theory is applicable on a municipality?s sustainability work, in order to gain a willingness to change and (2) decide if workshops are suitable platforms for communication with municipalities. The opinion that global, complex problems require local solutions is a starting point for this study. The role of municipalities is claimed to be of great importance and is furthermore suggested to undergo a change in order to meet the current demands.

AbstractSyftet med den här studien är att undersöka vad det är som gjort Enid Blytons Fem-serie så populär. För att ta reda på detta har en analys gällande struktur och handlingsschema på tio delvis slumpmässigt utvalda Fem-böcker utförts. Ett medvetet val har gjorts då första och sista boken i serien tagits med i studien. Särskilt fokus läggs på de handlingsscheman som återfinns i de olika böcker då en hypotes är att handlingsförloppen inte skiljer sig nämnvärt åt böckerna emellan samt att detta ger ett igenkännande som tilltalar de läsande barnen.Tidigare forskning kring Blytons böcker om Fem-gänget, syn på strukturer i skönlitteratur samt vad andra forskare anser vara det som tilltalar läsande barn lyfts fram och kopplas till föreliggande studie. Som grund för analysen av handlingsförloppen används Ecos studie gällande handlingsscheman i Flemings böcker om James Bond.För att komma fram till vad det är som gör dessa böcker så populära jämförs andra forskares syn på barn och skönlitteratur med det detta arbete kommit fram till gällande Blytons böcker.

Swedish consulting companies within the architecture-and engineering business exist on a market that is distinguished by an increasing globalization and internationalization. The companies? commissions are based mostly on long-term, personal clientele. These relations are threatened by a huge number of coming retirements and high employee turnover.Consequently these companies need to improve and strengthen their relationships with existing customers, to create long-term employee and customer loyalty. The purpose of this essay was to analyze and evaluate consulting companies´ internal marketing.
