The subject of this thesis is how a suspected criminal has been described in written swedish media. The topic of the articles is the investigation of a man suspected for murder and for dismembering the victim during the winter of 2011. The purpose of this thesis is to try to answer the question of what the newspapers actually write to describe a suspect before he or she has been trialed in court. For the analyse of the articles, published in four of Swedens largest newspapers, critical discourse analysis has been used. The results have been compared with other analyses made on other cases and have been discussed with Pierre Bourdieu?s theory of action.

I den svenska grundskolan har var sjunde elev en utländsk bakgrund. Många av dessa elever har inte uppnått den nivå i svenska språket som krävs för att till fullo tillgodogöra sig undervisningen. Skolan och dess lärare har ett viktigt uppdrag när det gäller att ge dessa flerkulturella elever rätt förutsättningar för en lyckad skolframgång, trots språkliga hinder. Huvudsyftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur några lärare i grundskolan, uppger att de anpassar undervisning och arbetssätt i flerkulturella klasser. Arbetet avser också att undersöka och ge en bild av vad litteratur inom ämnet uttrycker om hur lärare bör anpassa undervisning och arbetssätt till elever med utländsk bakgrund.Detta examensarbete, en kvalitativ studie, omfattas av två delar.

The aim of this qualitative study was to examine and understand how teachers see and handle the signs of child poverty within a classroom context. The paper is based on an interview study involving 8 teachers in 2 Swedish schools for children between the ages of 6 to 12 years old. Poverty is a complex word and there are many definitions of it. What do teachers interpret as signs of child poverty in the school context? How do they act when they think it?s necessary to protect a child from being affected by it, and how can we understand their choice of action with the help of action theory? We discovered that the teachers notice different things as signs of child poverty, and they all react in both different and similar ways.

Syftet med vårt arbete var att undersöka den personliga kontakten mellan lärare och föräldrar. För detta har vi använt oss av en kvantitativ enkätundersökning och kvalitativa intervjuer. Enkäterna besvarades av föräldrar till barn i fyra klasser i skolans tidigare år. Intervjuerna genomfördes med lärare i dessa fyra klasser. Resultatet av vår undersökning visar att lärare och föräldrar överlag är nöjda med den personliga kontakten.

The usage of temporary work agencies services is increasing in the Swedish labour market and it has also caused some problems. There have been cases where employers have been accused to circumvent the preferential right to reinstatement by using temporary agency workers rather than rehire preference eligible employees during labour need.The purpose of this thesis is to describe, analyse and enhance the understanding of the preferential rights to reinstatement and study when hiring of temporary agency workers, during the period when there is preference eligible former employees, is permitted. The method being used in this thesis has been applied with particular attention to the directives, laws, legislative history and doctrine.The preferential rights to reinstatement in 25-27 §§ of the Employment Protection Act is a protection which states that the employer has to hire employees or former dismissed employees during increased labour needs. The purpose of this right is that an employer should not be able to terminate an employee due to redundancy and then later hire new employees. An employee is entitled to the preferential right as he/she meets the criteria of the Employment Protection Act.

Denna studie har undersökt omfattning och form vad avser grundskoleelevers hemläxor och vilket stöd som de har haft från hem och skola i arbetet med hemläxorna. Studiens data har samlats in med hjälp av enkäter som delats ut i två klasser på olika skolor i årskurs 6. Den ena klassen består av elever av utländsk bakgrund, antingen som 1:a eller 2:a generationen, samtliga med annat modersmål än svenska, klass A. Den andra klassen består av elever med inhemsk bakgrund samtliga med svenska som modersmål. Studien omfattar såväl elever, föräldrar och lärare.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine children's communication and interaction during story time at the public library. The aim is also to examine how to develop the story time ? in terms of participation and equality ? at a specific library.Action research was used as a research strategy and participant observation, log, tutoring and interviews as methods to collect data. Since action research is done on the basis of practice, a significant collaboration with the librarian and the participant children is taking place within this study.Research from the fields of Library and Information Science, Education and Childhood Sociology form the interdisciplinary research area to which this study links. The theoretical framework consists of theory and concepts from the Socio-cultural Perspective, Poststrucuralist Feminism and Childhood Sociology.

The European Water Framework Directive (WFD; 2000/60/EC) was incorporated into the Swedish legislation in 2004 through the ordinance Förordningen om förvaltningenav kvaliteten på vattenmiljön (SFS 2004:660). The objective is that all water bodies shall reach a good status by the year 2015. In Sweden the comprehensive plans of the municipalities can play a large role in reaching these goals. A comprehensive plan deals with the long term water and land use of the municipality, which can facilitate an early consideration of water management in the planning process of the municipality. In Sweden five river basin districts have been established in accordance with the Water Framework Directive.

The present essay concerns Walter Benjamin?s thought regarding history and temporality as he articulated it in his last work that was only published posthumously: ?U?ber den Begriff der Geschichte?. The purpose is to analyze Benjamin?s construction of historical materialism and to suggest a reading of it as directed towards an opening of history. For Walter Benjamin, every moment presents itself as a possibility of radical otherness: a possibility for things to be different.

Studien syftar till att undersöka lärares och elevers uppfattningar om lärandesituationen i skolämnen och det sociala samspelet i åldersintegrerade respektive åldershomogena klasser. Studien är inte jämförande för att finna vilken skolform som är mest fördelaktig utan vi vill se svårigheter och möjligheter i båda skolformerna. Tidigare forskning visar på delade meningar gällande möjligheter och svårigheter i det sociala samspelet och lärande i skolämnen i framförallt åldersintegrerade klasser. Vi har intervjuat sammanlagt åtta personer, varav två lärare från en åldersintegrerad skola och två lärare från en åldershomogen skola. Övriga personer är fyra elever med erfarenhet från både åldershomogen och åldersintegrerad klass.

The study has got three aims. The first purpose is to implement the Newman et al.s rampage theory (2004) in a more dominant European context. In this way, the theory?s strengths and weaknesses can be exposed. The second objective is to look at the motive.

WHO har tagit fram riktlinjer gällande fysisk aktivitet för att motverka fysisk inaktivitet. Fysisk aktivitet kan innehålla kondition, koordination och styrka i olika former. Har man någon form av fysisk, utvecklingsmässig eller intellektuell funktionsnedsättning bör WHO:s riktlinjer gällande fysisk aktivitet följas i största möjliga mån. I Polen, liksom i Sverige har varje individ rätt till utbildning. I Polen har alla individer skolplikt till 18 års ålder.

The aim of this master?s project is to explore ways to perform piano music conceived dramatically. I do this through performance of Beethoven?s Appassionata Op. 57 and of Scriabin?s Piano sonata no.

Med vår undersökning ville vi ta reda på om storyline som arbetsmetod befrämjar elevernas lärande om livet den norra Polcirkeln. Utvecklingsarbetet genomfördes i tre olika klasser i årskurs fyra och fem i Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA. Ur dessa klasser valde vi att titta närmare på tre elevgrupper. Förberedelserna bestod i att samla material i Sverige, t.ex. fågelvingar, pälsbitar från djur och dylikt, då vi anade att de amerikanska eleverna inte hade några större förkunskaper, vilket är en av grundtankarna med storyline.

In motion ?a traffic program for Nacka is the result of a survey of the traffic system and transportation situation in Nacka and suggests possible development opportunities. A new traffic strategy will be developed in the municipality of Nacka the coming years, which is the reason for this study: to map the current situation, identify strengths and weaknesses, needs and opportunities. This program suggests possible development opportunities and gives an historical overview of the transportation system, the current situation and an analysis of different transportation modes. A mapping of other municipalities? traffic strategies or programs have been done and included into the program as well as a prognosis for the coming years in the municipality.
