Background: In 1998 it was stated that Swedish municipalities would report the pension liabilities according to the mixed model where the pension liabilities before 1998 was moved from the balance sheet. The mixed model has been criticized by economists for not showing the total pension liabilities. To remove some of the liabilities in the municipalities balance sheets means that the solvency improves. Some municipalities have decided to go against the municipal accounting law and recognize all of the pension liability as a liability according to the full funding model. When two accounting models are being used the comparison of the municipalities' financial statements is much harder.Purpose: The main purpose of this study was to study the reason why some municipalities apply full funding model rather than the mixed model.

Purpose The purpose of our study was to investigate the changing nature of volatility during the last 80 years. Like in an American study, we tried to find some trends in the risk of stocks and bonds that would have an impact on the balance of a portfolio of stocks and bonds. At the same time we investigated the influence of inflation on the choice of portfolio. Methods We have used standard statistic tools and formulas to obtain our results. In most cases it was a matter of calculating average and standard deviation.

Huvudsyftet med denna studie är att ta reda på om mindre onoterade aktiebolag som arbetar med forskning och utveckling valt att tillämpa K2- eller K3-regelverket. Delsyftet är att undersöka vilka faktorer som kan inverka på valet. En förhoppning med studien är att denna kan vara till hjälp för de företag som står inför valet mellan K2 och K3. I studien har en kvantitativ metod tillämpats. Empiriskt material har samlats in genom årsredovisningar, via databasen Retriever samt via kontakt med ansvarig person på företagen i urvalet.

This report intends to analyze the difference between the original rules and a modification of the rules for the Scandinavian version of the world famous dice game yatzy (yahtzee). Several works are made previously existing strategies for yatzy and Yahtzee.The study was conducted using the optimal strategy calculated and implemented in the programming language Java. The execution of the application to create the file containing the optimal strategy was running on leased powerful servers from Amazon and took just over six hours each.A simulated player played 100,000 games based on the strategy, to obtain data which then was used to plot graphs and analyze the expected score and its standard deviation. The expected value (mean) and standard deviation of the score for the possibility of three or four throws were 233.00 ± 44.82 and 280.07 ± 41.25.In view of the results drawn the expected conclusion that the four possible throws provides increased probability of getting a high score, unlike the case where the player may only be able to throw the dice three times. The fact that the variance is lower in the case of four throw session is equivalent to that the likelihood to get close to the expected value increases..

During 2006 SNVDB (the national road data base for forestry) is being introduced to Holmen Skog. This data base contains all information about Holmen Skogs road systems. The information will then be used in different kinds of optimisation models which only produce correct and reliable results if the input data are of the adequate quality. Today there are reasons to believe that road data is of various qualities. The forest roads are often in a bad condition and have to be improved before a planned harvest. The cost of maintenance and construction of new roads is a large part of the total harvesting cost.

This paper is a study of corporate governances in the municipal of Stockholm. The purpose of this paper is to enlighten the problems and opportunities for the corporate governances of the wards in the municipal of Stockholm. The municipal of Stockholm is made up of 18 relatively self-governing wards, whose activities bear a resemblance to one and other. Therefore we have specified our survey to corporate governances in the ward of Skarpnäck (Skarpnäcks stadsdel), to be able to use this ward as an example to corporate governances in the entire municipal of Stockholm. The essay emanates from the important management theories: Budget, Integrated Management system (ILS), Benchmarking and Balanced Scorecard.The essay is based on interviews and a poll survey we conducted in the administration of the ward of Skarpnäck, and also based on interviews with Stockholm?s city hall.

Projektets mål har varit att finna orsaker till delaminering av lamellimmade komponenter vid Stora Enso komponentfabrik i Ljusne. Detta resulterade i en analys av de faktorer, både material- och tillverkningsmässiga, som kunde bidra till en försämrad limfogskvalité. Analysen baserades på standard SS-EN 13307 ?Timber blanks and semi-finished profiles for non-structural uses?. En av de gällande faktorerna som analyserades var presstrycket vid limning.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att planera hur Schenker Coldsped ska arbeta för att möta kundens krav, i detta fall Burger King, på att använda regelverket EFSIS ? European FoodSafety Inspection Service. EFSIS erbjuder oberoende inspektionsservice designat för mat, dryck och närliggande branscher. Den standard som Schenker Coldsped AB överväger att certifiera sig emot är EFSIS tekniska standard för lagring och distribution av livsmedel.Coldsped är en del av Schenker Sverige AB. Företaget arbetar med helhetslösningar för transport och lagring av kylda och frysta livsmedel över hela Europa.

Bakgrunden till mitt val av Karlskrona som arbetsområde är ett intresse för hur förbättringar av cykelvägnätet kan öka förutsättningarna för användningen av cykeln som transportmedel i min hemstad. Karlskrona har en god potential att bli en mer aktiv cykelstad. Trots att staden har en speciellt form med sin placering på ett antal öar är den ändå väl samlad på en begränsad yta. Klimatet är bättre än för många andra cykelorter i Sverige, även om vinden är ett påtagligt inslag stora delar av året. I den teoretiska delen redogör jag för de vilkor och förutsättningar som gäller för planering av cykelvägar.

Den här rapporten beskriver arbetet och utförda studier inom området kryptering och VPN. Fokus ligger på hur väl krypteringsalgoritmerna Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) och Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) skalar i en förutbestämd miljö. Huvudfokus har varit att svara på frågan: Vilken av krypteringsalgoritmerna AES och 3DES kräver minst systemresurser? Under utbildningstiden har det flera gånger framförts att 3DES-algoritmen skulle vara mer krävande för krypteringsenheterna att utföra jämfört med AES. Denna rapport söker finna om det är så det förhåller sig och i så fall hur stor skillnaden är mellan algoritmerna.

The aim of this thesis is to explore and outline the cataloguing of sound recordings at two main Swedish audiovisual archives, The National Archive of Recorded Sound and Moving Images Statens ljud- och bildarkiv, SLBA and The Grammophone Record Archive of the Swedish Radio Sveriges Radios grammofonarkiv and its data base GAMBA. As non-book, non-printed, material in many ways differs from printed material, the institutions that deal with this kind of material have often developed their own rules for the cataloguing of it. The general codes for cataloguing, AACR2 and KRS, are insufficiently suited for audiovisual material. That is the reason why the IASA Cataloguing Rules, presented in this thesis, have been created. After the presentation of the IASA rules the problems of accounting for important sections of the catalogue record are discussed such as title, statement of respeonsbility, performers, physical description and notes.

IASB (International Accounting standards Board) tidigare IASC (International Accounting standards Committee) har framarbetat de nya redovisningsreglerna IAS/IFRS (International Accounting standards/International Financial Reporting Standards). Tanken med IFRS är att främja god redovisningssed genom enhetliga redovisningsregler som underlättar jämförelser mellan företags koncernredovisningar. Syftet med uppsatsen är att diskutera de problem som kan uppstå vid implementering av IFRS i ett onoterat aktiebolag, revisorns roll vid implementering samt redovisning av pensioner reglerade av IAS19.Vår studie är en kvalitativ fallstudie av deskriptiv karaktär som tar sin utgångspunkt i företaget Cramo AB. I uppsatsen kommer vi att följa implementeringsprocessen av IFRS i koncernredovisningen hos det onoterade bolaget. Uppsatsen baseras på intervjuer med CFO och redovisningsansvarig i Cramo AB samt auktoriserad revisor från Deloitte.En övergripande presentation av IFRS, pensioner och pensionförvaltare presenteras i uppsatsen som underlag till analysen.

Många utav de krav som idag utformas uppfyller inte kriterierna för att vara högkvalitativa. Denna undersökning behandlar hur användbarhetskrav formuleras i kravspecifikationer. Vi har i vår undersökning utgått ifrån en internationell standard (ISO/IEC/IEEE-29148), som innehåller kriterier för hur både individuella och uppsättningar av krav ska formuleras, som teoretisk modell. Dessa kriterier har vi forskningsförankrat genom att studera vad andra forskare sagt om dessa och därefter har vi använt modellen för att genomföra en dokumentanalys av fem olika kravspecifikationer för fem olika informationssystem. Våra slutsatser påvisar att det kan finnas en brist på kunskap kring hur krav bör formuleras i en kravspecifikation och vi belyser även de samband som finns mellan olika grader av uppfyllelse för kriterier hämtade från ISO/IEC/IEEE-standarden och praktiken.

Modelling of pollutants is commonly used in research and at departments working with environmental issues. The need to use large amounts of data when modelling creates the opportunity for more generalised models with lower data demands. Aggregating functions into coarser elements is a sort of generalisation of actual features in nature.A development of a method and a modelling tool called ?KadmiumKalkylatorn? has been performed to model cadmium pollution in rivers in Skåne, Sweden. The water runoff has been multiplied with cadmium standard concentrations based on membership in landuse classes.

The goal of this project was to make the requirement process at the Swedish Coastguard more effective. The first step to achieve this was done by locating bottle necks in the process with value stream mapping method. The result of this study showed that the biggest restriction in the requirement process was while examining older requirement documents to understand what elements were suitable for the particular project. This was followed by a study of literature, interviews and theory of Lean Production with the ambition to investigate how the requirement process was handled on other companies and how to improve the process on the Swedish coast guard. This led to a number of potential enhancements of the process which later was evaluated.
