ABSTRACTAim: The aim of this study was to examine differences in the documentation of the case incident reports, before (FRP) and after (FRE) the introduction of a quality standard for fall prevention in the geriatric departments at a Swedish University hospital. Method: 51 fall incident reports were collected before the introduction of quality standards for fall prevention and 63 after. Differences in documentation between the fall incident reports were analyzed with a Chi-2 test. Results: Number of case incidents in which the use of the alarm mat was documented increased after the introduction of quality standards for fall prevention and documented use of shoes and walker decreased. The majority of all documented case incidents occurred inside the patient room according to both FRP and FRE.

Marknaden för smartphones har vuxit stort under de senaste åren och även utveckling av applikationer till dessa. Då utveckling av applikationer för smartphones skiljer sig från traditionell utveckling så passar inte traditionella utvecklingsprocesser för utveckling till smartphones på ett optimalt sätt. Denna studie undersöker mobilapplikationsutveckling med fokus på användbarhet. Då det råder brist på systemutvecklingsprocesser för mobilapplikationsutveckling så vill denna studie utvärdera ISO standarden ?ISO 9241-210 ? Användarcentrerad design för interaktiva system?.

This report is the result of a diploma work made at IMT at US in Linköping. The purpose of this piece of work is to investigate the possibility to design a general program for data-acquisition using LabVIEW, suiting different hardwares and connections. Great importance has been attached to communication with serialport, using bluetooth, because different wireless PPG-instruments has been developed parallel to this project. These PPG-circuits uses this type of serialcommunication. Communication with USB, GPIB and analog connection has also been examined and analog communication has been tested practically.

I dagsläget är byggbranschen hårt styrt av att uppnå hög standard, rätt kvalitet, nå kortare byggtider och dettaska ske till en lägre kostnad. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur viktig kommunikationen ibyggprocessen är, om det finns ett samband mellan kommunikation och om projektet uppnår sitt förväntaderesultat. Vilken betydelse har målbildens förankrande och programmets utformning för projektets chanser attuppnådda det förväntade resultatet. Studien grundar sig på subjektiva resultat, utifrån de medverkandebyggaktörernas uppfattning, och mäter därmed inte frågeställningarna objektiv. Resultatet av de kvantitativaundersökningarna i denna studie visar på att det finns ett samband mellan den allmänna kommunikationen,målbildens tydlighet under projektet och målbildens uppfyllelse.

This thesis presents the results of the implementation and evaluation of two machine learning algorithms [Baz98, GB97]based on notions from Rough Set theory [Paw82]. Both algorithms were implemented and tested using the Weka [WF00]software framework. The main purpose for doing this was to investigate whether the experimental results obtained in [Baz98]could be reproduced, by implementing both algorithms in a framework that provided common functionalities needed by both. As a result of this thesis, a Rough Set framework accompanying the Weka system was designed and implemented, as well as three methods for discretization and three classi cation methods. The results of the evaluation did not match those obtained by the original authors.

Radio Frequency Identification, RFID, är en teknik för spårning och informationsbärande som har funnits i över 50 år. Det är dock inte förrän på senare år som användandet av tekniken har fått en bredare spridning. I Sverige finns idag ett flertal företag som har implementerat lösningar som bygger på RFID-teknik men samtliga är begränsade till att endast användas inom ett företag i ett slutet system. På frågan hur RFID-teknik och dess standard EPC påverkar företag i en supply chain, det vill säga i ett öppet system, finns inget klart svar utan detta bör undersökas för respektive bransch där ett införande kan vara intressant. Denna studie är en sådan undersökning, genomförd inom den svenska dagligvarubranschen, med följande syfte:Syftet med denna studie är att, på aktivitetsnivå, kartlägga flödet av fem utvalda produkter i dagligvarubranschen samt att för företag som ingår i dessa flöden skapa scenarier där RFID-teknik utnyttjas.

In the field of maintenance management there are but a few models an organization can use. The one model that has risen to the status of being the de facto standard in Sweden is pm3(på maintenance management model). The aim of this study is to lay the groundwork for a new method of evaluate the use of pm3within organizations. Today there is no uniform way of performing such an evaluation, which is necessary in order to diagnose the performance of the systems maintenance organizations.In the process of creating our own method for performing this kind of pm3audit, we further developed the ideas from a study by Lagsten & Nordström (2013) that was performed at the county Region Skåne. The authors of that study had developed ideas about using method rationale as a basis of creating a method for pm3auditing.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to survey what personal encounter at the library can signify, and to examine Swedish public libraries? policies for personal encounter. The posed questions are: What does personal encounter at the library signify? How are users and library staff represented in the collected policies? What do the policies say about digital encounter? 290 e-mail queries were sent to Swedish public libraries in May 2010. Of 140 responses, 107 stated that they did not have a written policy on personal encounter.

At Saab Aerospace in Linköping, components for measurement systems to the fighter aircraft JAS 39 Gripen are developed. In this activity you sometimes want to record the traffic transmitted on the data busses that connects different sys-tems. This traffic on the data busses is using the military standard MIL-STD-1553. This project has aimed to create a system for recording and sending 1553-data. The system is used on an ordinary personal computer, equipped with a recon- figurable I/O card that among others has a programmable logic circuit (FPGA).

The objective of the present study was to highlight preschool children?s encounters with children?s literature, in a heterogeneous language context.  The idea was to identify significant features in the linkages between the reading of children?s literature, didactic activities and children?s learning, language development and emergent literacy activities.  Our interest was directed towards the activities connected with read-alouds, as well as the preschool teacher?s perceptions of those activities.  The empiric material was collected by use of participant observations of four read-aloud sessions. After the observations the preschool teacher in charge of the observed read-aloud was in-depth interviewed. In addition, the physical print environment in the actual preschool was observed. The results indicate that the physical and social reading environment interact with each other.  Furthermore, the preschool  teachers? approaches and ways of working with literature does not always optimize the language, literacy and content area  learning opportunities for the children.

Syfte: Att utforska och analysera olika akt?rers uppfattningar av IAS 38 vid f?rv?rv av immateriella tillg?ngar, samt identifiera utmaningar och bed?ma hur v?l standarden fungerar i praktiken. Metod: En kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade intervjuer av revisorer och ekonomiansvariga inom olika branscher.

To reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologieshave been developed. Chemical Looping Combustion (CLC) is a CO2 capture technologywith the CCS framework, and at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg,Sweden, a 100 kW chemical looping combustor has been built.This project aimed to investigate to what degree air can replace helium as the uidizinggas for uid dynamical studies in a CLC cold ow model of the above mentioned 100 kWfacility. Experiments were performed using air and helium separately as uidizing gas andpressure data were obtained, which formed the basis for the comparison. The project alsoaimed to investigate uid dynamics in the uidized bed and study when the risk of sluggingoccuring was greatest. The results were presented in the form of figures and tables dividedinto pressure, concentration and standard deviation of the pressure.The results obtained showed that air as uidizing gas did not create the same uid dynamicsas helium over the entire fuel reactor.

Problemområde: Idag har Internet blivit var mans egendom. Detta innebär tyvärr en hel del problem. Det tydligaste vi står inför idag är att IP-adresserna håller på att ta slut. För att bli av med problemet används olika temporära lösningar ("lappningsteknik") men även en permanent lösning utvecklas, nämligen Ipv6 (Internet Protocol version 6).Det nya protokollet löser adressbristen men har även många andra funktioner så som säkerhet och bättre routinglösningar. Vi ställde oss då frågan varför har ingen övergång skett trots dessa fördelar. Frågeställning: Var i övergången mellan IPv4 och IPv6 står vi idag? Varför har inte övergången mellan IPv4 och IPv6 redan skett? Vilka är de största anledningarna och vilka fler möjliga finns det? Slutsats: Arbetet visar att tiden för en övergång ännu inte är inne.

Detta examensarbete är resultatet av en utredning av tvättning och rengöring av produkter som tillverkas på Volvo Construction Equipment Components AB i Eskilstuna. Arbetet är uppdelat på två huvudområden, tvättning i processen samt slutgiltig renhet. Skillnaderna mellan dessa är framförallt att det finns fastställda krav på den slutgiltiga renheten för artiklarna men en motsvarande märkning saknas för de olika tillverkningsstegen. Idag tvättas ungefär 70% av TMAs artiklar i en central tvättstation. I och med detta uppstår en hel del problem med ledtider och kvalitet.
