Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka hur organisationer styr sina anställda genom att erbjuda medarbetarna en möjlighet till karriär inom företaget. Jag har valt att fokusera på anställda från främst två företag och kan därför inte generalisera mitt resultat.Datainsamlingen skedde via intervjuer, två stycken face-to-face, två stycken via telefon samt en intervju genom e-post. Två av intervjupersonerna arbetade på en bank, två inom en snabbmatskedja och en intervjuperson var egen företagare. Materialet från intervjuerna analyserades utifrån Göran Ahrnes begrepp kollektiva resurser, makt och maktrelationen och tillhörighet.I resultatet fann jag ett flertal olika sätt som organisationers erbjudanden om karriär styr den anställda. Att eventuellt behöva byta bostadsort för att få arbeta på den önskvärda positionen var ett krav från organisationerna som framkom under intervjuerna.

Social media have become a bigger and bigger aspect of daily life for many ages and especially within the youth culture growing from digital interactions. At the same time libraries seems eager to use this medium to reach out to the youth to inform and to educate. But do we know enough about how these two groups? views each other to be effective at this work? And is it even something that is wanted? What?s the image of social media from their point of view?The goal of this study is to investigate the image of social media from the point of view of two groups, librarians and youth. The study is based on a qualitative approach with a random selection of candidates.

The purpose of this qualitative study has been; how social bonds are interlaced between the social worlds contained within the analytical division of ?outside Internet? and ?within Internet?. What happens with the social bond as the individual oscillate between this analytic bisection? This purpose raises important questions of the use of Internet in everyday life.A new stance is taken toward studying the Internets integration into everyday life. The focus is adjusted to the importance of emotions.

To work in an unpredictable work environment requires communication that functions well. In every organization it?s important that employees receive information that is relevant yet not confusing. Due to that, our ambition with this study is to understand how rescue effort organizations communicate in meetings; and whether their communication is clear or not. Our subject for this case study is the Emergency Services in the region of Karlstad.

BACKGROUND: A telephone nurse is a nurse that during most of its working time is engaged in healthcare advice via the telephone. The advent of the telephone healthcare advice has probably meant that individuals, who initially wouldn?t have sought help, if they needed to meet healthcare providers face to face, now actually have the confidence to turn to healthcare. For telephone healthcare advice is professional care to identify, assess and advise on individuals? reactions to actual or potential health problems.

AbstractWorking with child and youth welfare is one of the most difficult challenges a social worker might face in the field of social work. Those who work with child and youth welfare are more exposed to stress and burnout than other comparable human service occupations. Research links the prevalence of stress and burnout to several key variables, such as demographics, working conditions and personality factors. In contrast, even though social workers in this field face many negative work-related problems they report a high job satisfaction. The aim of this study is to examine how uplifting and straining experiences affect social workers, who work with child and youth welfare, through the use of The Critical Incident Technique and interviews.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie har varit att sammanställa vetenskaplig kunskap om patienters upplevelser av face-down positionering efter vitreoretinal kirurgi från ett patientperspektiv och ett sjuksköterskeperspektiv. Utifrån dessa perspektiv valdes kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier med en omvårdnadsintention ut. Resultatet presenterades utifrån tre kategorier; mental och fysisk påverkan, samspelet med närstående och samspelet med vårdpersonalen. Dessa kategorier beskrev perioden i FDP som en stor utmaning för patienten både mentalt och fysiskt på grund av den obekväma positionen som leder till sömnbrist och att de känner sig konstant trötta och stressade. Patienternas egen beskrivning var att de kände sig deprimerade, uttråkade och hade en känsla av att de skulle bli tokiga av att ligga i FDP.

I min undersökning studerar jag elevernas interaktion face-to-face på raster där den bärbara datorn finns med. Syftet är att undersöka hur den bärbara datorn påverkar interaktionen mellan eleverna på raster. Mina frågeställningar är hur och när elever är socialt responsiva respektive asocialt responslösa på raster samt hur elevernas interaktionsritualer ser ut? Jag har använt en kvalitativ metod för att kunna besvara mitt syfte och mina frågeställningar. Jag intervjuade fem elever i årskurs ett på en gymnasieskola i Karlstad och genomförde tre observationstillfällen. Studien visar att den egna datorn både kan ses som en tillgång och hinder på raster för elever på gymnasiet vid interaktion.

 AbstractBackground: Among elderly people with dementia pain is a common problem. In older persons, particularly those suffering from dementia and cognitive impairment pain is often underdiagnosed and undertreated causing unnecessary pain, suffering and affect quality of life negatively. Dementia complicates the identification of pain when the natural ability to communicate decreases when a person is suffering from dementia. It is important that health professionals working with older persons with dementia are aware of the person?s pain expression.Aim: To clarify how older persons with dementia communicate pain expression.Method: To study this area a literature review was used.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka dels vad det är som får människor att vilja träffas "face-to-face" från en kontakt via Internet, dels vad som väcker attraktion för en annan människa på Internetdejtingsajten Q500. Totala antalet deltagare var 732 stycken, varav 395 kvinnor och 337 män. En explorativ undersökning har gjorts med hjälp av två riktade enkäter; en för de som hade dejtat någon via Internet och en för de som inte hade det. Frågeställningarna för undersökningen var vad användarna på Q500 uppfattade som särskilt attraherande, vad som kunde tänkas leda fram till en dejt offline från en kontakt online och om eventuella signifikanta skillnader fanns mellan könen, samt mellan de som dejtat och de som inte dejtat någon tidigare via Internet rörande hur de skattat frågeområdena. Civilstånd och ålder korrelerades med skattningarna och det framkom en del svaga positiva samband.

Today's consumers are demanding more and more from companies and are no longer as easy to im-press as they used to be. It is now the consumers that hold an increasing amount of power over com-panies and not the other way around. This change in consumer behaviour has caused an identity crisis for traditional advertising, and companies are now searching for new ways of reaching their target audience. The purpose of this combined qualitative and quantitative case study is to examine possible risks and possibilities that a retailing company face when communicating through Facebook. Data has been collected through in-depth interviews with company representatives combined with a quantitative study of the company's Facebook followers in order to answer the questions of (1) which possibilities and risks a retailing company face through the use of a Facebook fanpage and (2) if there is a differ-ence in the attitude and behaviour of active respectively passive followers that may have been caused by a retailing company's marketing communication on Facebook.
