Utveckling av instyrningsfunktionen hos ett dockningsinterface


In this project the task has been to develop a product that will facilitate an operation for personnel working in a sterilization center. The operation is to steer the front of a loading trolley into the chamber of an autoclave, a so-called docking. The moment is complicated because the margins to deviate from ideal docking position and still succeed, is very small.The principal Getinge's desire was that the product could be retrofitted at the customers on their existing systems. One of the demands was that the product should fit two types of trolleys, one with a adjustable working height and one with a fixed working height. Getinge is supposed to purchase the system from a subcontractor who shall manufacture it and the requirement from Getinge is that the cost of purchase mustn't exceed SEK 500Initially principles, solving the problem was developed. These were presented in the form of sketches and CAD models. After evaluating the principles one of the them were selected as the winner and was further developed in a stage called primary construction. The winner was a mechanical system consisting of two units, one unit attached to the autoclave and one unit attached to the underside of the trolley.The system's functionality was to facilitate the docking operation, allowing larger deviations from the ideal docking position, still with a successful docking. This was achieved by a conical design of the unit attached to the underside of the trolley.The system was designed with respect to facilitate retrofitting. Components and materials were selected to ensure a long life-span. It was also taken in account that the system should be ergonomic since it's operated by people.
