Uppnår sjuksköterskestudenter lärandemålen?


Objective: To see if nursing students believe that they have acquired the knowledge that the Higher Education Ordinance demand and if there is any difference between the theory learned at the University and the clinical reality in which students receive their practical training. Method: The method is quantitative and is divided into two parts, one in which the authors describe how the questionnaire was developed and how validity was strengthened. In the second part, the authors describe how the data analysis was made and how reliability of the result was strengthened. Result: The result shows that the students felt that they have achieved most of the objectives of learning demanded by the Higher Education Ordinance. But some objectives are perceived as not at all or only partly achieved. The researchers could also see that in most learning objectives the university and the placement have the same goal. But here shows the pilot study that there are differences in what is taught at the university and the internship. The results of the validation and reliability are also presented here.Discussion: The methods section discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the pilot study from the authors point of view. The results indicate where students feel they do not have reached the target and where the differences between the university and the internship. This result is discussed. For example, learning objective five where 47.5% of the students think that the internship does not contribute at all or in part to the students to learn about research, development work, knowledge of science and proven experience. Or why only 52,5 % of the students believe that they have only partially knowledge of the various constitutions recognized in learning objective number eight.
