Samverkansprojekt för en bättre psykisk folkhälsa? En litteraturstudie om utvärderingsmetoder och effekter


Introduction: Mental illness is a public health issue which 20-40 per cent of the inhabitantsin Sweden suffer from. Many factors can lead to mental illness and because of that it isimportant that different organisations and professions collaborate in prevention and healthpromotion work. To develop the collaborative process by noticing difficulties and successes,documenting, follow-up and evaluation is of great importance. Aim: The aim of this literaturereview is to investigate which methods are used for evaluation of health promoting anddisease preventive collaborative projects, which focuses on mental health directly orindirectly, and find out what results these projects has revealed. Method: Literature reviewwith descriptive design. Collected articles were analysed by identifying methods forevaluation and a manifest qualitative content analysis was used to investigate the effects ofcollaborative projects. Results: The findings showed that many different methods forevaluation were used; qualitative, quantitative and mixed method. Data was gathered from eg co-workers, participants, and data files. The analysis of the projects? results revealed threecategories; Effects among the participants, Development and change in the society, and Coworkers?experience from the collaborative process. Discussion: There are some indicationsthat collaborative projects could give positive results and in the long run create a better mentalpublic health. Although, they have to be adjusted to local prerequisites and the peoples? needs.The fact that many different methods for evaluation were used can be interpreted as if thereare difficulties concerning what to measure, how to measure and how to interpret the findings.
