The aim of the present study is to examine which need´s unaccompanied children in adulthood describe as significant. Furthermore the study aims to examine if the participants experience that they have received the support they need from Örebro Municipality?s unit for unaccompanied children. To answer this, qualitative interviews were conducted with six persons in 20-22 years of age who arrived to Sweden as unaccompanied children four to six years ago. The interviewees are some of the first in the care of the Örebro Municipality?s unit for unaccompanied children. The results show that their network, education, recreational activities, participation and religion are significant needs for them. The interviewees had experiences, both positive and negative, of the support that Örebro Municipality and affiliated organizations have offered them, based on their needs. The results of the study have been analyzed with earlier research, empowerment, salutogenesis, and the convention of the rights of the child. The discussion is about our own views and conclusions regarding the research. A critical reflection is given over the relationship between the results and method. Finally, we present suggestions for further research.
