Det politiska uppfostrandet. En studie av hur det obligatoriska teaterbesöket i utbildningssyfte påverkar gymnasieelevens demokratiska världsbild - utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv
Theaimofmyessayistofindoutifpoliticaltheatreinsomewayaffectstheopinionsandvaluesofhighschoolstudents.IthereforeconductedapublicsurveyatHagateaterninGöteborgduringAutumn2014,aimedatthepoliticalperformance??mensendå??,performedbytheTeaterKurageensemble.Thesurveywasconducedinthreesteps;thefirstandsecondstepsbyobservingthestudents?reactionsbothduringandaftertheperformance,andthenduringapoliticalseminarwithyoungpoliticians.Thethirdandfinalstepinvolvedaquestionnairewithquestionsconcerningpoliticsandtheatrewhichthestudentscompleted.Ihaveappliedanintersectionalperspectiveasapointofdeparture/startingpointandthusinvestigatedthedifferencesbetweenthestudents'answersdependingontheirgender,ageandresidentialarea.Iwantedtofindouttoinwhichwaytheywereaffectedbythesefactors.Theresultsofmyinvestigationprovedthatoldhabitsandstructuresregardinggenderandsocialclassesstillpersistsasanorm.Inanycase,myresultshaveshownthatthestudentswere,ingeneral,affectedbytheperformanceatHagateatern.
