Arbetsstudie av trucktillverkning vid SB Truck AB

Examensarbetet har genomförts på SB Truck AB i Vreta Kloster. Tyngdpunkten i arbetet var att filma tillverkningen av en ståstaplarTruck,för att sedan analysera tillverkningsmetoderna och räkna fram den totala tiden för tillverkningen av en typ av Truck. I studien ges förslag på förbättringar av tillverkningsmetoderna. Förslagen berör främst huvuddelarna i produktionen som är mast-, chassi- och gaffelvagnstillverkning. De förslag på förändringar som är viktigast är följande: - Kontrollera vilka svetsfogar som verkligen behöver slipas.

Tidsstudie av containerhuggbil

The fork lifter chipper Truck is a concept which has been developed for harvest and transport of bio fuel. The system consists of one fork lifter chipper Truck and 1, 2 or 3 transport lorries, usually two, which serves the fork lifter chipper Truck. The system is driven by the fork lifter chipper Truck that produces chipped material into a container on the Truck. When the container has been filled the Truck drives to the landing site where it?s offloaded.

This is a final thesis done at BT, considering one of their forklift Truck models called Reflex. The first part of this report is about a preliminary investigation investigating what kind of diagnostic systems BTwants to use, and also which demands there are to meet all expectations on such system. Secondly a diagnostic system, which will show if the drive wheel is worn out, will be presented. In the preliminary investigation, two kinds of diagnostic systems were mentioned. These were Model based diagnosis and Predictive analysis.

This Masters thesis is a study of the Truck-driver profession and their use of libraries located in gas-stations and restaurants along the highways in Sweden. The reason for this interest is the positive trend that has occurred concerning men without any university education and their reading-habits, that is due to their increased interest in listening to audio books. This challenges the general opinion that this group is not particularly interested in reading literature. Questions posed in this study are: How do the Truck-drivers relate to the activity of reading literature, what part does the road-libraries play, and how can the services that the road-libraries offer be improved according to the Truck-drivers. The method used in the study is interviews made by telephone.

Holmen Skog has in some places in their operation area access to timber Trucks with centre mounted scrapers. They make transportation more flexible and reduce reliance on contractors for road maintenance. The Trucks with centre mounted scrapers have a higher tare weight, making them less productive and therefore they receive compensation with a 0.75 % increase on transportation price. The purpose of this study was to investigate what actions a timber Truck with centre mounted scraper can perform with acceptable quality in winter, and to examine if it is an economically profitable solution for the Truck operator and charterer. The study was done in three stages; interviews, performance analysis of the transportations carried out and an economic analysis with the help of Sven Erik Gilles spreadsheet tool. The study included the districts Delsbo and Hudiksvall.

During the transportation of logging residues (LR) the material´s low density is a problem that results in low use of pay-load capacity. Comminution or compression of LR are possible methods to increase pay-loads. In the present thesis studied a bundling machine which was mounted on a Truck chassis, and the subsequent transport and crushing. The Truck bundler created bundles that were larger and longer than other bundling equipment on the market. The objectives were to determine the total time consumption and its allocation over work element and machinery, to measure dry matter (DM) content of green and brown LR-bundles.

Today's high oil prices and more stringent environmental requirements have led to that manufacturers of mobile construction equipment try to make their products more energy efficient. With this in mind a project about hybridization of hydraulic systems has been formed. The purpose of this project was to analyze the savings that can be achieved by hybridization of hydraulic systems. A reach stacker Truck (Kalmar DRD450-80S4XS) were simulated in some load cases with conventional hydraulic systems and with three types of hybridized hydraulic systems. Different parts of the hydraulic systems were also analyzed separately.

The costs of logging and of transportation with Truck are dominating the total cost of wood delivered at industry. To support the profitability for the members' forestry the processing and handling with the timber has to be as efficient as possible. Increased length of pulpwood in thinning is one conduct that can result in higher productivity and/or lower costs. The study is scaled as a system analysis with the aim to exemplify the differences between working with 3- and 4-meter as standard length of pulpwood, related to biological aspects, timber receipts, cost of logging and cost of transportation with Truck. Important aspects are if the change is technically and biologically feasible and economically profitable.

This study aims to document the Swedish haulage contractor?s attitude to biodiesel. Also to document the strengths and weaknesses of biodiesel, based on opinions from the ultimate consumers.

Två nya trailerkoncept för transport av rundvirke hos Stora Enso : en analys av prestation och flexibilitet

The need for roundwood transport capacity vary throughout the year. The need during a period is influenced mainly by the volume transported the period, the number of days during which transport can be carried out, seasonal variations in road conditions and the weight of the roundwood, and the origin of the wood (private forest owners/ forest companies). The need for transport capacity generally increase during the winter and in spring, after thawing. Lack of logging Trucks combined with a lack of drivers for these Trucks make it hard to hire extra help during periods of increased transport capacity needs. It is also very expensive to keep logging Trucks for use only during these periods. In this thesis, two new concepts based on the partial transport by Truck tractors have been examined, to find out the possibility for increased performance and flexibility.

Matvanor och attityder till mat och måltider hos lastbils- och långtradarförare.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate meals and eating in one day for at least ten Truck or lorry drivers. Another aim was to investigate the attitudes by the drivers to food and meals and their expectations on the meals. This is a qualitative study conducted in ten interviews, seven of which were over the phone. The interviews were semi-structured and took about twenty minutes for each driver. Data relating to the food choices for one day were collected and questions asked about their attitudes to food and meals were collected simultaneously.

TOMO Hugglink

Tomo Hugglink (TOMO Skog) is an innovation for harvest and transport of biofuels. The system consists of a Truck, a chipping unit and crane mounted on a link and a wood chip trailer. The system works in such a way that the chipping unit is disconnected and placed on the site and wood chips are loaded directly into the wood chip trailer.The aim of this study was:- To examine the performance of the TOMO Hugglink system under different conditions such as the size, placement and quality of the pile.- To calculate the cost per raw ton for two vehicle combinations at different transport distances and to examine the effect of a reduction in set-up time and an increase in load weight.- To identify possible improvements with the TOMO Hugglink system.A time study was conducted within the thesis work to make it possible to determine production and time consumption. In the subsequent economic analysis the cost per tone at different transport distances was calculated for two different lorry concepts. Furthermore the effect of a reduction in set-up time and an increase in load weight was calculated.Under current conditions the utilization of the chipper is low and only 29 % of the total system time is occupied by chipping.

The Swedish government has a goal of achieving a fossil-free vehicle fleet in 2030. Heavy transport constitutes a significant part of Sweden's transportation sector and the vehicles are driven almost exclusively by fossil fuels. Siemens has developed eHighway, a concept for electric road systems enabling electrification of Trucks, in order to reduce the environmental impact of heavy transports. This study aims to investigate the potential that eHighway has on transporting iron ore from the mine of Mertainen to a processing plant in Svappavaara. Electrified Trucks are compared with conventional Trucks, and diesel and electric trains.The evaluation was made with respect to energy consumption, environmental impact, and cost.
