Grafisk skärm för inbyggda system : Framtagning av en prototyp

A degree project has been carried out at Motion Control, Västerås. The degreeproject ?Grafisk Skärm för Inbyggda System? have developed a first prototype of anembedded system with a display, a graphical user interface with Touchscreen andpossibilities to communicate with external units.The work initiated with surveys of critical components. A technical specification forthe desired end product was developed. With the technical specification as support,design specifications for hardware and firmware were developed.After the specifications were done, a circuit diagram was developed and a circuitboard was made.

Automobike: en cykel med aktiv balans

During spring 2012, six students at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm carried out agroup project in the field of mechatronics as part of the thesis for the bachelor degree. The resultwas a robot with active balancing and the purpose of this report is to describe the development,manufacturing and problems that arose during the project. The finished robot has two wheelsmounted in line with each other, like a bicycle. Measurement data from an accelerometer and agyroscope are used together in a complementary filter for determining the angle from the verticalplane. For balancing, a PID controller was used to control the rotation of a reaction wheel, whenaccelerating causes a straightening torque.

Gesture recognition for touchscreen interfaces using
simultaneous multiple inputs

Vi har varit en grupp på fyra studenter som på tio veckors tid skall ha utvecklat några applikationer, samt ett bibliotek för att kunna hantera diverse gester till ett system som kan hantera flera användare samtidigt. Vi har fått i uppdrag av Luleå Tekniska Universitet att prova denna relativt nya teknik och se vad den kan ha för kapacitet och användningsområden i framtiden. Min uppgift i arbetet var att hjälpa till att utveckla ett bibliotek för att hantera olika gester som en användare kan tänkas göra. I detta examensarbete så berättar jag om hur man skall kunna upptäcka komplexa gester i ett system där flera användare kan påverka samtidigt. Jag kommer med denna rapport att ta upp de problem jag har haft, vilka lösningar jag har kommit fram till samt vad jag ser på möjliga framtida tillägg till biblioteket.

Kvantitativ studie om knappsatsdesign och knappstorlekars påverkan på träffsäkerhet

A mobile testing application using Unity was developed to analyse what impact button sizes and button layouts has on the accuracy of touch as well as the time to finish a labyrinth. This was tested on a Nexus 4 phone. 28 users navigated a small object through a labyrinth in which they collect keys to open the door to the exit. Each participant did the test 6 times with different combinations of button size and button layout each time, done in a random order. Hits, misses, completion time, order of button size and order of button layout was collected and then visualized using R.

With the new generation of smartphones the boundaries for what is a mobile phone and whatis a computer becomes more subtle. 2009 the shipment of smartphones with Touchscreen morethan double the 2008 figure and the total amount of smartphones is now over 10 % of the totalworldwide shipments of mobile phones. There?s still one problem to solve and that is the lackof web content specifically adapted for smartphones.The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze from a user and usability perspective howto make a successful migration and design of a user interface for an existing web basedsystem so that it also fit smartphones.The paper starts with a theoretical reference material containing examples of differentapproaches for design and migration of an interface.A case study is performed and prototypes are designed with support from guidelines andrecommendations in the theory part.The conclusion stipulates that in the present situation there are no shortcuts when it comes tomigration of an existing web based system for the mobile web. The recommendation is aspecific interface for each different unit that are going to interact with the system.Research that analyzes differences between all mobile web browsers would be of greatinterest, a research that hopefully leads to guidelines for what level of mobile web standardthey should at least support.

En studie av plattformsoberoende med Haxe och NME

Det jag ska undersöka är hur väl program skrivna i Haxe med det externa biblioteket NME uppnår plattformsoberoende. Mer specifikt hur väl ett spel skrivet i Haxe med NME är plattformsoberoende givet att programkoden är den samma och inte modifierad för varje plattform. På hemsidan för NME ställs frågan ?Does This Actually Work?? och svaret som ges är ?As surprising as it sounds, NME really works. You do not need to spend your time messing with cross-platform compatibility, but you also do not have to sacrifice runtime performance or access to platform features.?.För att Haxe och NME ska anses vara plattformsoberoende ska samma källkod resultera i att spel som fungerar på ett tillfredsställande sätt på alla de testade plattformarna, givet att jag i programkoden tar hänsyn till den hårdvara som finns tillgänglig på plattformarna.
