Idrott och doping : En studie om idrottande ungdomars tankar om idrott och doping

The purpose of this study was to look at Teenagers' thoughts and ideas regarding sports and doping, and what they think about information on doping.Important questions for our study were:What do sports mean to Teenagers?What thoughts do Teenagers have about demands and expectations in sports?What thoughts do Teenagers have about doping?What do Teenagers think about information on doping?What factors do Teenagers think affects a teenager to use doping?The study was made from a qualitative approach. The material consists of twelve interviews with Teenagers in the age of 16 - 18. Sports mean a lot to the Teenagers in our study and they don't approve of doping in any way. Many of the Teenagers asked for more information about doping.

Favorit på Internet: en fallstudie om tonåringars ingående i relationer med företag på Internet

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how Teenagers are attracted and motivated to maintain a relationship with companies on the Internet. Companies that have Teenagers as a target market have to understand their needs and wants, in order to establish relevant relations. The study has been carried out through a review of theory within the field of study. A case study was carried out through interviews with Teenagers in the ages of 15 to 19. The results from the study showed that what mainly attract Teenagers to visit a website are personal recommendations, the name on the website and high rankings on the search engines.

The purpose of this essay was to analyze if and how Teenagers think about immigrants and Swedes, the relationship between them and to find out where these thoughts originate from. The essay consisted of four main questions; do the Teenagers think in terms of immigrants and Swedes? How do the Teenagers reason in terms of who is an immigrant and who is Swedish? What do they think about the relationship between immigrants and Swedes? Where do these opinions originate from?The study was based on eight interviews conducted with Teenagers born in 1987. Our conclusion of the study was that it is not easy to determine who is Swedish and who is not. It was clear in this study though that looks and behaviour were utterly important.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the identity of Teenagers is affected by the loss of a parent as well as what coping strategies support identity development. The reactions the Teenagers exhibit, in such circumstances, will also be examined. To accomplish this,  a theory package was created, comprising theories in developmental psychology, identity work, coping and theory of grief reactions of children and Teenagers. This package provided a broad perspective, which facilitated the analysis. Furthermore, it made it easier to address the purpose and the issue of the analysis.

In this essay I have studied how the film industry in the USA has worked with history in movies ever since the birth of film. I have also studied if Swedish Teenagers are influenced by the contemporary reflections often showed in these movies. Furthermore I discussed how to work with contemporary reflections on film in a classroom.In these studies I used a group of teenager in the eight-grade. I stated of by asking the Teenagers a verity of questions about movies and their interests in movies. Afterwards I showed them four different scenes from two different movies which all included reflections to today?s society.

The aim of this study is to describe Teenagers' experience of being diagnosed with cancer. A cancer diagnosis very dramaticaly changes the lives of a teenager and its relatives. Cancer is a loaded word that most people associate with death and the teenager and its relatives generally react with despair and anxiety towards. Adolescence is a very emotionally difficult period with many physical and psychological changes, and it is therefore particularly difficult to suffer from a serious illness like cancer during this period. The method used when conducting this study is qualitative content analysis of various blogs written by Teenagers living with cancer and resulted in six categories.

Sexual risk-taking among Teenagers has rapidly increased and only during the last decade the existence of Chlamydia has more than tripled. The future is facing big challenges to cope with the problem. Though the big efforts made on preventive work, Chlamydia continues to spread. The study aims to examine the existing attitudes towards sexual risk-taking among Teenagers. The central mode of procedure is to use qualitative focus group interviews, and is complemented with a quantitative survey. A total of 30 Teenagers, 15 boys and 15 girls, age 16-20, are participating from three different high schools in Gothenburg.

The public libraries were quick to adapt to the changes that the Internet brought on, and today library websites are an important part of the public library. To meet the needs of teens today, the library website could offer a range of contents to make it an attractive place on many levels; both the academic needs as well as social and recreational needs should be addressed.The aim of this thesis is to evaluate public library websites for Teenagers in Sweden, and to examine how well the websites address the developmental tasks and needs that Teenagers have. The method used is website evaluation, one quantitative and one qualitative. A total of 60 public library sites for Teenagers were evaluated, using 11 criteria based on Havighursts developmental tasks. The quantitative evaluation measured how many functions each website had per criteria, and showed that the majority of the sites had one or two functions for most of the criteria.

This master essay is about Teenagers, alcohol and the preventing measures taken by the Swedish government. Consequences of the rising consumption of alcohol among adolescents and how to prevent dangerous alcohol consumption in the future is one of the most prioritized issues in the Swedish society today. Today there is no prevention that clearly shows any effect on teenager?s alcohol consumption and the education about the dangerous effect of alcohol is clearly not the same in schools around Sweden. To gain knowledge about how Teenagers view their own consumption of alcohol we have used the Grounded Theory.

C-mig : En kvalitativ studie om tonåringars identitetsskapande på Facebook

The aim with this work is to understand and point out how significant Facebook is for teenager´s identity-construction. Through interviews with six Teenagers, three boys and three girls in the age of sixteen and seventeen, I investigated how Teenagers use Facebook and what purpose these interviewees put out to be members at Facebook.The interview-material then was analyzed from selected sociological/social psychology theories and also previous research. The study showed that the interviewees self-presentations for the sake of their awareness was more characterized of reflexivity than spontaneity. Because of their broad audience they choose to not write or publish too private information about themselves on Facebook. Despite a reflexive approach the identity-construction on Facebook could be affected of other people in a negative direction.

Att bjuda eller inte bjuda? En studie om hur ungdomar och föräldrar samtalar med varandra om alkohol

My study is about how parents talk to their children about alcohol. The purpose of my study was to study how young Teenagers communicate with their parents about alcohol. I also wanted to find out if parents have any influence over their children's choice of drinking. I have chosen to look at these questions from the perspective that alcohol is a cultural phenomenon, that children is a part of a family system and that alcohol can be viewed as a part of the children's liberation from their parents. I used a qualitative research method and interviewed five young Teenagers, who are students at upper secondary schools ("gymnasium" in Swedish) in Lund, they where all under 18 years old.
