Solid State Diskar (SSD) är relativt nya och mycket om dem är okänt. Detta examensarbete fokuserar på att läsa forensiskt viktig information från både lagringsutrymmet och reservutrymmet. Detta har försökts genom att ett program har byggts i C++, detta program använder ATA kommandon för att läsa information från disken. Även om programmet aldrig blev färdigt kunde det skicka och ta emot data från en SSD, dock inte reservutrymmet vilket var fokus i detta examensarbete..

In the low-income countries of the world, rapid urbanization and decaying infrastructure results in an increasingly unsustainable situation when it comes to Solid waste management. Often, the solution tends to focus on introducing technical advanced interventions based on the conditions of the high-income world. However, this thesis aims to ?nd site-speci?c solutions on Solid waste management at a local scale. By taking in consideration of local conditions a customized approach is possible where the solution is not dependent on expensive structural changes.

The purpose of this thesis was to describe the economic situation for popular culture venues. During the study, four different ways of financing were encountered. These are sponsorship, volunteers, government funding and ticket sales. A case study, based on interviews, were conducted on Pinkerton, a non-profit organisation. The result showed that Pinkerton needs a Solid subsidy from government funding.

Solid State Drives (SSD) blir idag allt vanligare som lagringsmedium och håller på att bli ett alternativ till magnetiska hårddiskar. Denna studie+ har undersökt hur man på bästa sätt kan utnjytta SSDer i en MySQL-databas. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av experiment där prestandamätningar gjordes för att få en klar bild på i vilken konfiguration av SSDs som ger bäst prestanda i MySQL. Mätverktygen som användes var sql-bench och mysqlslap.   Resultaten visar att en databas på en enskild SSD presterar lika bra som en databas med  SSD-cache  under  majoriteten  av  mätningarna  och  visar  bättre  resultat  än resterande konfigurationerna som var en databas på hårddisk och transaktionsloggen på en SSD. .

The purpose of this thesis for Sapa Heat Transfer is to examine a furnace in which aluminium is pre-heated before hot rolling. The project is modeled in a computer environment in which the air flow in the furnace and the heat transfer to the aluminium Solids are included. The computer environment and its governing equations, as well as boundary conditions and generalizations, are presented and explained.The simulations are based on two models. The first model has an asymmetric Solid placement, which is how it looks in today's ovens. It is validated against collected data.

This thesis investigates three different surface modifications, and the route to design and synthesize them. The thesis is therefore divided into three sub- projects. (i.) Mezzanine is a collective term for hybrid instruments on the leverage finance market, offered as an alternative to traditional debt. As a hybrid, mezzanine combines elements of debt and equity financing. Mezzanine appears, in its most common shape, as subordinated to the senior debt, but ranks higher than pure equity. Reminiscent of security interests, the main importance of subordination is upon the default of the borrower. Therefore, the aim of the thesis is partly to investigate the legal prerequisites for a Solid subordination of mezzanine financing, and partly to explain the consequences of subordination in a default.

Denna studie har som mål att undersöka hur produktplaceringar i spelet Metal Gear Solid 4 kan ha för roll i narrativet, vad dessa tillför spelet och vilken roll de har för karaktärerna i berättelsen. Studien undersöker även om dessa produktplaceringar visas på ett sätt som förstärker produktens eller varumärkets status men även för att se om stereotyper nyttjas för att upphöja deras effekt.Denna studie bygger på en kvalitativ textanalys med semiotiska och narrativa inslag där jag tillsammans med valda teorier om bland annat narratologi och produktplacering kommer att svara på uppsatsens frågeställning:Hur används och integrerar varumärken/produkterna med narrativet och karaktärerna i Metal Gear Solid 4?  Resultatet visar att de produkter och varumärken som finns med i spelet har varit viktiga för både narrativet och karaktärerna. Dessa produktplaceringar har bland annat gjort spelets berättelse och dess karaktärer mer verkliga då de har hjälpt att skapa en länk mellan fiktion och verklighet. Produkterna har spelat en stor roll i narrativets story och händelseförlopp då de har varit viktiga instrument som har underlättat spelandet och fört narrativet framåt samtidigt som de har använts av spelets karaktärer och gjort det möjligt för dem att kunna uppnå det slutgiltiga målet i narrativet, vilket är som många andra berättelser idag, världsfred..

This case study examines the new media presentation system in Alby public library. The aim is to explore if the contemporary Zeitgeist, wich according to the sociologist Zygmunt Bauman, could be described as liquid modernity, has affected how the system was formed. The purpose is to find out how that would affect users and staff of public libaries of the contemporary. Interviews were conducted with the library staff, and plans and documents concerning the media presentation system was examined.The empirical part of this thesis starts with a study of the process that resulted in the new presentation system while the second part examines the system as such. I discovered that both the media presentation system, and the process which preceded it, contained aspects that could be traced to liquid modernity.

In the farrowing pens the amount of bedding material and the quality of the concrete floor has a huge impact on both the sow and the piglets. In this study imbedding of rubber flooring on the Solid area in the farrowing pen was used to see if it had any effects on the sows lying behaviour when compared to concrete. Another important aspect was to evaluate if the rubber floorings had a high enough durability to resist the normal wear in a farrowing pen. Concrete flooring is assumed to have a higher thermally conductive effect then rubber which can affect the sow?s chance to cool down.

IFÖ Sanitär påbörjade hösten 2004 tillverkningen av Solid, som är deras nya produktfamilj av duschväggar och kabiner. Produkten monteras till stor del automatiskt i en robotcell. Övriga processer i tillverkningssystemet är tagna från befintliga processer och är inte optimerade för de nya förutsättningarna som gäller för Solid. Syftet med examensarbetet som utförts under hösten 2005 vid IFÖ Sanitärs anläggning i Mörrum är en genomgång av processflödet för Solid och identifiera onödiga och ineffektiva processteg samt föreslå förbättringsåtgärder för dessa. Arbetet har utförts i två faser, av vilka den första innehöll analys av befintligt system för att identifiera ineffektiva processteg och den andra innehöll vidare arbete med processtegen för att få fram konkreta förbättringsåtgärder.

The work thesis was performed at Assalub a company which is situated in Åtvidaberg. The company works with developing, manufacturing and marketing equipment for handling of lubricants for light and heavier industry. The work thesis it is based on a inquiry Assalub got from MacGregor which is a company within cargo solution, from port to offshore system.For unloading grain and other material from the ship cargo it is used combined inlet feeder and screw conveyor, there the inlet feeder is drilling down through the cargo and feed the screw conveyer with material to further destination. At the bottom of the screw conveyer and the inlet feeder there is a bearing that keep the parts together. However the lubrication of the bearing must be made manually.

This report was written by Lisa Bengtson and Hanna Paradis and describes the degree thesis "Environmental impacts of Solid waste treatment in the Metropolitan Region, Santiago, Chile ? a comparison between current system and incineration with energy recovery". The purpose of this thesis was to investigate if incineration with energy recovery could be motivated through an environmental perspective as an alternative to landfilling of Solid waste in Santiago, Chile. The study was performed with Life Cycle Analysis as a theoretical base. In Santiago, situated in the thirteenth region of Chile, Región Metropolitana, lives 6,5 million inhabitants. The major part of the Solid waste produced in the region is landfilled on three different sanitary controlled landfills situated outside the city center.

The migrating sand dune Råbjerg Mile in northern Denmark is 40 meters high and moves more than 15 meters every year. By introducing a Solid structure on the site, the fast movement of the sand dune is emphasised and thereby our view of time and space.Through intuitively building models with varied openings and densities I investigated how architectural elements react with sand. From these experiments a series of spatial features and effects were found, generated from the meeting with the sand.The Sand Catcher is a Solid and permanent structure. The sand is the liquid element that generates new spaces, circulations and experiences.
