Our aim in this study is to explore if the Schoolchildren?s written language differs from the?National tests? in Swedish and from Facebook. We specifically want to see if we candiscover words and expressions mainly from the English language or other languages in the?National tests? in Swedish written by the Schoolchildren in the ages between 18-20 yearsold. The methods that we used to discover the results in this study was; to interview threeteachers, have 30 Schoolchildren answer a questionnaire survey, analyze 30 written ?Nationaltests? in Swedish by the Schoolchildren and finally analyze two Facebook walls from twoSchoolchildren.

A tendency of impaired oral health has lately been seen among children and adolescents. The consumption of soft drinks and fruit juices is rising and at the same time many children and adolescents skip breakfast and lunch at school. That in combination with a frequent snacking increases the risk of caries. The aim of this study was to examine the knowledge of caries, oral hygiene- and dietary habits and experience of tobacco among 12-year-old Schoolchildren. The study was performed in 5th grade in four different schools in the North East of Skåne in cooperation with the dental health board clinic in Näsby, Kristianstad.

ComAlong targets parents of pre-Schoolchildren with extensive communication difficulties and aims to give parentsknowledge about different aspects of communication, communication developmentand AAC. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used. Individualinterviews and pair-interviews with totally nine persons were performed and 54course questionnaires filled in by parents were evaluated.

Syftet var att undersöka aktivitetsnivå och måltidsvanor hos skolungdomar i årskurs 6-9 efter en intervention, och jämföra de uppnådda resultaten med en kontrollgrupp, samt jämföra mellan flickor och pojkar. Hallands Idrottsförbund startade med stöd av Region Halland ett projekt på en skola i Halland, för att öka den fysiska aktiviteten bland eleverna i samarbete med olika idrottsliga föreningar. Detta var en kvantitativ studie och enkäter användes som datainsamlingsmetod. Resultatet visade att den aktiva gruppen hade fler idrottslektioner i veckan än kontrollgruppen. Inga andra skillnader påvisades.

An instrument for assessing children's attitude towards speech,communication, and communicative participation suitable for children withcleft lip and palate has been missing in speech- and language pathology. Inthe present study a new instrument Självsvarsformulär Om Tal OchKommunikation was tested on typically developed school children. The aimwas to obtain norm values for children in grade 4 and 7 and to examine thereliability and validity of the instrument. 104 children participated. Data wascollected in groups of 5-6 children.

Bullying can have serious consequences on everyone involved. Consequently it is important that school counselors are able to intervene. Thereby they need an unambiguous definition and knowledge about bullying that has been produced from research so they do not make mistakes that could lead to further damaging of the students. Thus the aim of this study was to examine how school counselors define bullying compared to the views held by scientists and students in secondary school. Through a review of previously done research the definitions of scientists and Schoolchildren was summarized.

Arbetet har bestått i att utföra en informativ webguide över en anläggning i Västerås som tillverkar biogas och biogödsel av matrester. Beställaren heter VafabMiljö. Mina kontaktpersoner, Caroline Eklöv och Åsa Lindén, är skolinformatörer. Guiden ska publiceras på VafabMiljös hemsida för skolklasser på Internet och där fungera som en förlängning av informatörernas arbete i skolorna. Målgruppen är barn i årskurs 3-5.

This project is focusing on a future park that will surround Hyllie water tower in the outskirts of Malmö. The water tower will be located in the central part of the new building area Hyllievång. The park will function as a town park with a special focus on water. The water council of the municipality, Va-verket, has for the last 7 years built up and been in charge for a pedagogical programme in the water tower, were Schoolchildren come to learn about the cycle of water and how we use water in our daily life. In the park they want to build a new part that gives experience of water, as a compliment to the information in the tower. What will that park look like, and what shall it be constructed of? How do you bring water to the surface in a park? How can landscape architecture work to enhance the presence of water and make people more interested in water issues? In the search to find the answers to all my questions I have meet with people, read books and visited different places.

The purpose of this study is to examine pupils´ experiences from getting grades in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities and which impact this has on these pupils how they form and get formed as Schoolchildren. Four pupils in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities in a Swedish community have participated in qualitative semi-structured interviews. All analysis that has been made has focused on these pupils´ stories about getting grades. I have asked openly formulated questions so that the pupils themselves have had the possibility to highlight those experiences that they want to share.Three categories that I have used, with starting point from the questions in this study, to analyze the answers in the interview material is how the pupils talk about the bases for grading, the pupils´ self-awareness when they talk about their own grades and the pupils´ view when they talk about the importance of grades. The theoretical base of the study is policy enactment.One conclusion of this study is that both teachers and pupils in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities often is based on other factors than what different policy documents says about what should be the ground for teachers grading.

Den psykiska ohälsan bland elever ökar. Skolsköterskor möter idag många etiska och moraliska problem. Skolsköterskor ägnar mycket tid åt att stödja och hjälpa barn med psykisk ohälsa. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva skolsköterskors upplevelse av att kunna ge stöd och hjälp till barn som mår psykiskt dåligt i skolmiljön. Sju skolsköterskor från Norra Sverige deltog i studien.

AimThe purpose of this study has been to examine attitudes towards dance in a broad sense, among Swedish Schoolchildren. The study has been done with three different questions in mind: What do pupils think and express about dance? Are there any differences in attitude towards dance between girls and boys? And how do the pupils relate to gender conceptions in connection to dance illustrations?MethodEight pupils 12 ? 14 years of age have been interviewed separately during physical education lessons. During parts of the interviews dance illustrations were used in order to encourage the pupils in their discussions, especially when asked to relate to dance and gender conceptions. The statements have been interpreted from a gender theoretical perspective.ResultsMy interview study shows that male pupils to a larger extent than female pupils inhabit hostile feelings towards dance as part of physical education lessons.
