The purpose of the study was to describe hemodialysis patients self-reporting Salt habits associated with cooking and food intake. Furthermore, the purpose was to investigate possible differences in inter Dialyze significant weight gain at low and high self-reported Salt consumption. The study was an empirical descriptive study of comparative features and consisted of a convenience sample from two hemodialysis units in southern Norrland. Study group consisted of 37 persons who had been ongoing hemodialysis treatment and their age ranged from 42-86 years. A questionnaire was used in two parts and both parts contained 15 foods.

Coastal areas are popular for housing, both for permanent living and holiday houses. At the same time, thin sediments and small storage capacity in the bedrock makes the ground water resources limited. The limited ground water resources combined with too large withdrawals of ground water makes Salt water intrusion a problem in many coastal areas. This study examine the risk of Salt water intrusion in drinking water supplying wells on the island Södra Finnö in S:t Anna archipelago, Östergötland, Sweden. A calculation of the relation between ground water recharge and withdrawal is obtained to analyze the ground water balance in the area.

The results shows that aseasonally variation in the sea ice extent affects large aerosols (1-10 ?m) whilesmaller aerosols (<1 ?m) doesn?t seem to be affected as much..

The complex sound of someone walking in snow aren't easy to create in a studio. The best way to get the sound is to go out on a surface with real snow and record the footsteps there, but it is a complex procedure to get the right sound on the snow because snow sounds different in various temperature and various kinds of snow. It is important to find the right kind of snow to get the right sound on the foot steps. In a studio, the foley artist can create the sound of footsteps in snow by walking on different kind of material, like potato flour, coarse Salt or corn flakes, the question is how realistic this materials sounds and what temperature on the snow they sound like. The results shows that the real snow (warm and cold snow) sounds most realistic and the potato flour sounds like warm and wet snow, the corn flakes some think sounds like cold snowwhile others think that it doesn't sound like snow at all and the coarse Salt sounds like snow when it is around -10°C in the air, they all sounds similar in realism compared to each other.

Detta Salt påverkar ofrånkomligen intilliggande lignoser och därmed är det intressant att veta hur de påverkas och vilka som kan anses vara mer Salttoleranta än andra. Detta för att underlätta vid utformningen av vägnätsmiljön och urbana miljöer. Olika forskarrapporter skriver om ämnet. Detta kandidatarbete gör en sammanställning av elva sådana rapporter för att kartlägga eventuella mönster. Tre frågor ställs: Finns det något gemensamt bland de lignosarter som nämns i litteraturen som toleranta för Saltpåverkan? Vilka lignoser beskrivs i litteraturen avseende Salttolerans respektive Saltkänsliga? Hur är respektive forskning kring lignoser och Saltpåverkan utförd och hur presenteras den i litteraturen? Litteraturstudien visar att det inte finns några gemensamma faktorer utan de består av flera delfaktorer hos olika arter: - Skyddande knopphölje och knoppdvalans början och slut. - Möjligheten till bättre ljusabsorbering vid ökad Salthalt. - Effektiv vattenhantering. - Hantering av Saltjoner i växten. - Åldern hos lignosarterna. För att identifiera fler lignoser som Salttoleranta kan det vara av intresse att undersöka dessa faktorer på fler arter. Vidare har en uppdaterad sammanställning utförts för arter som i facklitteratur och forskningsrapporter beskrivs som toleranta, måttligt toleranta eller känsliga för Saltpåverkan.

At present indoor tethering of dairy cows is still common but is not predicted to take part of modern dairy production. When conducting scientific studies of cattle it is generally necessary to tether the animals to maintain a controlled environment. Studies confirm that tethering and confinements of cattle severely affects the development of stereotypies in cattle. The feeding regime and feeding level have an immense affect on the stereotypi level in cattle. The aim of this experiment was to study dairy heifers that had never been tethered before the start of the experiment, to evaluate the affect of tethering on the development of stereotypies and the impact of the feeding regime on the behavior of the animals. Sixteen dairy heifers were tethered in a tie stall and divided in two groups with different treatments. Heifers in treatment E were fed restrictedly with silage and treatment EH was fed with the same amount of silage but also straw ad libitum.

Water that is too hard or too soft can lead to technical and economical problems. In collaboration with Midvatten AB, groundwater hardness in the Badelunda esker between Leksand and Avesta has been mapped, and an attempt has been made to explain the variations. For this purpose, different GIS programs, such as ArcView, ArcInfo, IDIRISI, and one geochemical modelling program, PHREEQC, has been used.

Inledning Wallenbergare var från början en elegant restaurangmaträtt bestående av en panerad kalvfärsbiff serverad med potatispuré, ärtor, lingon och skirat smör. Rätten torde vara uppkallad efter häradshövdingen Marcus Wallenberg någon gång under 1930- talet. Det finns många historier om Wallenbergarens uppkomst men ingen tycks veta med säkerhet vem som serverade den för alldra första gången.Syfte Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka hur val av styckningsdetalj, kryddning, temperatur och mixning påverkar den sensoriska kvaliteten i en Wallenbergare.Metod/material De tre metoder som användes under denna studie var en provmatlagning med en större mängd av variabler, en enkätundersökning gällande tidigare erfarenheter och uppfattningar om Wallenbergare samt en sensorisk bedömning av biffens sensoriska kvalitet.Resultat För att Wallenbergaren ska uppnå en konsistens av hög sensorisk kvalitet bör denna bestå av 75 % malt kalvinnanlår, 25 % kalvbräss, äggula, grädde och Salt. En Wallenbergare bör endast smaksättas med Salt och nymald vitpeppar.Provernas samtliga ingredienser skall vara väl kylda för att uppnå högsta sensoriska kvalitet. De prover som blandades med handkraft erhöll en lägre sensorisk kvalitet än de prover som blandades mekaniskt.

This report covers the thesis done by mechanical engineering at the engineering program at the University of Halmstad. Student Work Development of packaging in the food industry includes 15 credits and has performed over 20 weeks in spring 2009. The thesis work is a compulsory part of education and aimed at the student must apply the knowledge it has given during training in a project related to reality. Student work has been carried out in cooperation with Hanson & Möhringen AB and the project's main objective was to develop an environmentally friendly packaging to their brand Falk Salt. When Salt is one of the world's cheapest commodity was packing all the costs have to be as low as possible.
