Denna rapport är en reflekterande text som behandlar verket Dance 4 Romance. Spelet är skapat utifrån ett high-concept med fokus på att skapa ett spel där två olika genrer möts för att skapa en spännande och ny upplevelse. Arbete är baserat på en tidigare spelidé jag har haft. Texten och verket är ett resultat av mitt examensarbete under våren 2009 vid Högskolan i Skövde.Genom speltestning, undersökningar och feedback under arbetet med Dance 4 Romance har jag fått relevant information som behövts för att kunna ta fram ett intressant spelkoncept och som har hjälpt mig att kunna svara på min problemformulering.Slutsatsen är att det går att ta fram ett intressant spelkoncept genom att kombinera dansspel och äventyrsspel. Utmaningen ligger i att få till balansen mellan båda genrerna och att skapa en underhållande spelidé.

The current paper is a study of the character Christian Grey in the EL James trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey. The main aim is to find out how masculinity, sexuality and gender are constructed in this erotic fantasy. More over terms as femininity, unmanliness and gender have relevance to the study. Several studies have been done on Romance novels and Harlequin in particular from a gender perspective, but few of them from a masculine point of view. Hence, no earlier study has been done on Fifty Shades of Grey with masculinity studies as the main tool of masculinity, or with theories of Romance.

The purpose of this thesis is to form an idea about the qualitative value and meaning of reading fiction in a psychological perspective and over a lifetime. Seven women, 68-79 years old, were interviewed about their reading habits of fiction in their lifetime. The material is presented as life stories. I use an inter-nordic research project called the SKRIN project which looks upon reading habits from an individualistic and psychological perspective. I also refer to an American study which focus on reading development with roles readers take in different ages of life written by J A Appleyard.

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är att definiera begreppet fransk flöjtestetik. Arbetet berör hur den tradition som förknippas med Conservatoire de Paris har vuxit fram och hur den hållits vid liv. Arbetet innefattar några av de mer kända flöjtister som verkade vid Conservatoire de Paris och vilken influens de hade på musiklivet i Frankrike under 1800-talet. Flöjtens utveckling under 1700 och 1800-talet täcks även in och visar vilka följder det kan ha haft på de rådande flöjtistiska ideal. Den konstnärliga delen i arbetet inbegriper jämförelse mellan två olika klangliga ideal och vilken effekt det kan ha på musiken.

Her novels are here read as a trilogy dealing with the dialectics of gender and violence in 20th century discourse, drawing on theories of how the construction of subjects is produced by power, of the relation between power and sexuality.The heroines of Zahavi?s novels try their best to move about in a world where their freedom of movement is limited to their female identity. In Dirty Weekend the protagonist tries to shoot her way out, claiming revenge on every man that is forcing himself upon her. She gains some freedom of movement by refusing subordination, but does not really change the order of power.

Swedish films are often based on the genres Romance and comedy. The films dealing with relations and comedy can almost be seen as a genre of its own. The composition of the complex relation between the audience and the genre is the primary research focus of this thesis. With the teoretical ground in intertextuality, sociology and Romances the thesis examines three relations in three different films. The films english titles are, Adam & Eva, Making Babies, and Double Shift.

This Masters thesis aims to study the reading habits of readers of romantic fiction, especially focusing on gender issues. The main areas studied are the function of reading Romances compared with reading other genres, and how the readers value romantic and general literature. The thesis is based on qualitative interviews with seven readers of Romances, five women and two men. The theoretical background is based on reader response theory and gender theory. Before I started interview the readers I asked them to read two Romances; Sidney Sheldons - The best Laid Plans, and Rosamunde Pilchers - The End of Summer, which we later discussed during the interviews.

This essay aims to examine how the synthetic non-human subjects, EDI and Legion, are constituted in terms of their bodies, gender, desire and emotion, in the gaming series Mass Effect. In a close-gaming method I also want to explore in which way the gamer can effect or even change the expressions of the body, gen­der, desire, and emotion made by the synthetic non-human subjects. In order to do this I use Judith Butlers and Sara Ahmeds queer theory, and Donna Haraways cyborg feminism. I concluded that EDI em­braces her embodiments and is given a highly sexualized female body, being more of a woman than a machine. While Legion is rather embracing disembodiment and is given a non sexualized, androgynous male body, be­ing more of a machine than a man.

This study is performed as an Archive, Library and museum master?s thesis in two years studies. The overall aim is to investigate and analyze what the term Manga means in a library and information science context. The concept of Manga has different meanings depending on whether we start from a Japanese or a Swedish context. Manga is integrated in the Japanese society while Manga often is associated with youth culture or a separate genre in Sweden.

Den här C-uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie om användandet av feelgood tidningar i vardagen. Studien strävar efter att ta del av och förstå hur läsarna använder feelgood tidningarna i sin vardag. Studien syftar också att undersöka det psykologiska perspektivet bakom valet att läsa tidningarna.Mina frågeställningar är: Hur använder kvinnorna feelgood tidningen i sin vardag?Hur rumsrent tycker kvinnorna att det är att läsa de här tidningarna? Vad är det som gör feelgood tidningar underhållande?Hur kan man tolka kvinnornas användning av tidningarna ur ett psykologisk perspektiv?Materialet inhämtas via en fokusgrupp med fyra kvinnor i åldrarna 40- 65 år. Den teoretiska bakgrunden har hämtats ur Radway A Janice bok, Reading the Romance- women, patriarchy and popular litteratur, Lisbeth Larssons En annan historia och ur boken Oro, av Skårderud Finn.Analysen är ett samspel mellan fokusgruppens utsaga och den teoretiska delen.

 AbstractJohan Landgren: Tonalitet i tjugoförsta århundradet ? Populärmusik och spel med tonala konventioner. Uppsala universitet: Institutionen för musikvetenskap, C-uppsats 2007.I uppsatsen studeras spelet med tonalitet och tonala konventioner i den nutida populärmusiken. Fyra låtar (av Avril Lavigne, Fall out boy, My chemical Romance och Nickelback) analyseras med avseende på melodi och harmonik, för att visa hur musiken förhåller sig till traditionella tonala system. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är en diskussion av Carl Dahlhaus om indelningen av musik i harmonisk respektive melodisk (modal) tonalitet, och i underkategorierna tonarter respektive modi.

This essay deals with the industrial past, present and future and begins with the impact and importance the industrial revolution has had on us humans, socially, economically and structurally. Today's society has developed from industrial production of goods to the production of services but the industrial sites remains. The essay examines issues concerning the protection of the industrial environment, their status as a cultural heritage, what is done with our industrial heritage and the opportunities it has for the future. Malmö has a great industrial history and now one of the cities oldest industrial sites, the north of Sorgenfri, will be transformed. The essay compares the plan with guidelines for future development from the Town Building Office with an antiquarian investigation for the same area.

Jane Austen är en av 1800-talets mest lästa författare och har vunnit stor popularitet tack vare sina ingående och humoristiska porträtt av det engelska samhället. Just hennes livliga beskrivningar av livet på den engelska landsbygden runt år 1800 kryddade med en satirisk underton gör Austens romaner intressanta objekt för litteraturanalys. Trots att hennes texter är fast rotade i sin tid tycks de aldrig bli omoderna, vilket beror på att människor nu som då brottas med liknande problem och ställningstaganden. 200 år senare tvingas vi fortfarande fatta livsavgörande beslut som rör kärlek, pengar och status. En av hennes mest kända verk - Sense and Sensibility - publicerades 1811 och är en klassisk Austenroman som tar upp just problematiken kring dessa teman.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate issues concerning librarians? view on three genres, (a) popular literature for women, (b) popular literature for men and (c) erotic literature, when choosing what to buy for their libraries. A qualitative method has been used and the empery consists of seven qualitative interviews with altogether eight librarians involved in choosing and buying literature. The theoretical framework is built on theories regarding concepts of hegemony and cultural hegemony; the male sex as norm; taste culture and quality. The results show that three of the libraries in the study have a written purchase policy and that the policies that exist are very general.
