The well-being of employees has become a key concept in the rhetoric of the company boards and business literature of today. There is however not much statistic evidence of a connection between economic Results and the perceived working climate. This thesis sets out to investigate whether there is a positive correlation between economic Results and working climate on a work group level. It also aims to study which specific working climate factors influence the Results. In order to meet its purpose this thesis analyzes employee satisfaction questionnaire data and economic Results from more than 300 work groups.

Introduction: The Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test is a widely used test for measuring aspects of social cognition. The aim of the present study was to provide Results from a group of typically developing Swedish children (age 9-12) and to compare these Results with children and adults in other Swedish and English studies, as well as Results from a group of children with Asperger syndrome. Method: A Swedish version of the child version of the test was completed by 83 controls and by six children with Asperger syndrome. Results were compared between the two groups and with data from other studies. Results: The children in the current study did not differ on scores compared to children in the same age group in other studies.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether institutional ownership has an influence on CEO compensation in companies where the institutions have invested. In order to fulfil the purpose of the thesis a quantitative study was carried out within the Swedish corporate context where we have studied Swedish institutional investors and companies quoted on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Our period of study was the financial year of 2007.The empirical questions at issue is; Was there a connection between Swedish institutional ownership and the size of the CEO compensation, and, does Swedish institutional ownership lead to a certain type of CEO compensation in terms of structure?Our Results did not suggest that an increased institutional ownership neither leads to a certain type of salary level nor a certain kind of salary structure. These Results contradict earlier American research, which has been done within this area and has previously shown a secured connection.The reasons for our Results may be many and it is difficult to state any concrete conclusions to why we received differing Results.

The aim of this study was to examine if there was a relative age effect in students grade in mathematics. The study was built on regression analysis and Spearman rho on student?s month of birth and their grades. It was found that there is a relative age effect in the student?s grades.

The study seeking explanations for change, similarities and differences in the various texts based on three themes which are Results, future and confidence. In this qualitative study five CEO's words are explored by means of a discourse analysis, all from large Swedish industrial companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Some of the Results shown is that the CEO tends to talk about the company's Results in a self-serving manner and CEO speaks more aboutm the Results before than after the crisis.

This master thesis was made to investigate the possibilities of using the Matlab-basedsoftware Basegrain to determine grain size distributions of erosion protections onhydropower dams. Basegrain is a photogrammetric tool developed to generate grainsize distributions and other information about coarse flood sediments by analyzing adigital photo of the stone bed. The investigation was made by validating the ability forBasegrain to assess grain size distributions of various materials smaller than the blocksused in an erosion protection by comparing sieving Results or manual measurementswith the Results obtained by the program. A statistical comparison was then made bycomparing the Results from sieving and the program. The possibilities of using thesame method on existing hydropower dams were then investigated by determiningwhether the method was practically viable or not.The Results showed that Basegrain generated grain size distributions for coarse gravelthat were very close to the sieving Results.
