Remind är ett verktyg som kan användas för att modellera och optimera processer. Programmet genererar ett ekvationssystem som därefter kan optimeras av ett externt optimeringsprogram. Ursprungligen utvecklades Remind på Linköpings universitet och är ett ?Open Source?-projekt. Programmet befinner sig fortfarande på utvecklingsstadiet och målet med det här projektet är att komma vidare i den utvecklingen.

Produktionen och distributionen av fjärrvärme i Luleå kommun sköts av två företag, LuleKraft AB och Luleå Energi AB. Under 2011 utökades samarbetet företagen emellan, med bland annat gemensam driftspersonal. Detta ger förutsättning för ett mer anpassat och optimerat produktionssätt. Med detta som bakgrund skapades en modell över fjärrvärmenätet och tillhörande anläggningar, för att kunna skapa riktilinjer för effektiv produktion vid olika driftförhållanden. Viktiga komponenter för systemet är? Lulekraft - ett kraftvärmeverk vilket eldar processgaser från SSAB och olja för att producera fjärrvärme och el? Fjärrvärmenätet - 42 mil långa ledningar förser i princip hela Luleå kommun med fjärrvärme? Hetvattencentraler - när LuleKraft inte räcker till för att täcka fjärrvärmebehovet finns möjligheten att använda dessa där bränslet är processgaser, olja, pellets eller elFjärrvärmenätet och hetvattencentralerna ägs av Luleå Energi AB men hela systemets drift sköts av personal på LuleKraft.

The overall aim of this study is to achieve the increased knowledge of the use of the counselling methods in the student counsellors' work and to find the possibilities for development. Two questions are used as guidelines:Which counselling methods do student counsellors use in their work in schools?How can the current education for the student counsellors be supplemented?The analysis of the interviews with six counsellors in Stockholm's administrative province showed that even uneducated counsellors use the same counselling methods as the educated ones. All these methods which are used Remind of the known counselling methods that are the part of the current education for the student counsellors.In general counsellors experienced that the education for the counsellors should be supplemented within the field children with special needs and that conversation's methodology is the essence of the counselling work..

Over 40 miljon people in the world suffer from hiv/aids today. Africa is the continent that is worst affected by hiv/aids but how is the situation in Sweden? Why is it so quiet concerning hiv/aids in Sweden? Our aim with this work was to find out about the hiv/aids situation in Sweden and particulary in Malmö. The result of our research was that hiv/aids have increased since the year 2000 and most of the people had caught the infection in other countries than Sweden. This raised our curiosity concerning how immigrants/refugees are being treated when they arrive in Malmö and what are being done to stop hiv/aids from spreading further.We became very disappointed when we realised how little that is actually being done and how poorly the collaboration between the institutions are working.

The essay is a text centred study of ten Young Adult Novels, in which Internet plays an essential part. The structure is put into light out of used narrative techniques of how to create stories and its construction elements. I compare the ten Young Adult novels to each other. My aim is to analyze the functions of the Internet motive in the chosen novels, using different approaches, and enlighten it with concerns to the new phenomenon that Internet is in society. Consequently the essay will also have a mimetic touch to it.The ten novels that I base the analysis on are written of both med and women and have both male and female as main fictive persons, and are from different parts of the world.

This study aims to research how small companies that operate on the Swedish home electronic-market utilize marketing communications to communicate their message. The focus of this study has been to research these companies use of below-the-line activities in their marketing communications. Interviews have been conducted with representatives from each of the three companies Neonode, Jens of Sweden and Tonium, that compose the selection from the population in this study. The use of below-the-line activities in small companies is mainly motivated by lower cost, which suit small company budgets. Below-the-line activities are also used for branding and the creation of credibility among the consumers when the target audience does not yet know the brand.

Syftet med arbetet var att utveckla modeller för järnmalmsreduktion som kan beräkna reduktionsmedel behov och gasutnyttjande genom att använda Rist-diagrammet. Modellerna ska sättas in i optimeringsprogrammet Remind. Arbetet har varit att utveckla två excelmodeller, för masugns- och MIDREX processen. Anledningen till att modeller gjorts för dessa processer är att masugnen är den i särklass mest använda processen för att tillverka primärjärn medan MIDREX är den vanligaste direktreduktions processen. Grunden för beräkningarna som utförts i masugns modellen kommer från teorin bakom Rist-diagrammet och masugnen.

The BA thesis Front Yard Gardens ? spatiality, design elements, expression and social aspects is a summary of the entrance and front yard garden phenomenon ? where the entrance is the set design and the designer is the director. The thesis touches the social context of which entrances have been and still are shaped. The various appearance of the entrance and front yard gardens throughout the history, starting with the first entrance by the edge of the wood and coming up to the front yard gardens of today, is described. It touches the present day through an analysis of some entrances and front yard gardens of modern residential areas.

The two textbooks are aimed at students in grade 10. Both books were produced in 2008 but published by different publishers.The essay is based on Norman Faircloughs critical discourse theory which has been supplemented by Michael Billings theory Banal Nationalism, which assumes that it is the national words that Remind us daily of our homeland that is producing and reproducing national identity.  The survey shows that both textbooks are closely tied to the government policy document for the teaching of history. The textbooks refer to the policy, both explicitly and implicitly. The two textbooks reproduce a common national identity in South Africa based on the discussions taking place in society.

This master thesis deals with the differences in the design of the environmental scanning between different kinds of organisations, as well as the demands and regulations etc. in the respective environments that influence the environmental scanning. The content of the environmental scanning and the organisation of the function are outside the scope of this study. Two organisations that do not have an organised function but are scanning their environment were chosen for the investigation. A model for conducting the environmental scanning developed by Frankelius is used to analyse the practice of environmental scanning.

Marketing is an important tool for companies to use in today?s consumptions society, to reach out with products and services. The message that has been sent out is also important, because the message can be distort or reach wrong customer group. Above all this the competition and the struggle round the customer?s increases and it has become more common that the customers tend to be less loyal towards the company.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur lärare som har blivit mobbade som barn anser att förebyggande mobbningsarbete bör bedrivas. Den undersöker även hur deras utsatthet som barn påverkat deras lärarroll. Undersökningen är gjord genom kvalitativa intervjuer med två lärare och två lärarstudenter. En av slutsatserna är att lärarna påverkats mycket av sin bakgrund vad gäller deras sätt att förhålla sig till både starka och svaga elever. De har generellt svårare för att relatera till elever som påminner om de personer som utsatte dem som barn.

AbstractThe market?s demand to purchase more cost effective products is continuously increasing. The producers are forced to become more efficient and flexible with resources to produce high quality products at a low cost in order to maintain or increase market shares. With this in mind Isaberg Rapid AB is requesting a project to increase efficiency in the assembly cell of hammertackers. The company has found in Kaizen-events that there is a potential of efficiency improvements in the assembly group that has not been achieved.The objective with this paper is to identify the major factors that influence the efficiency in the assembly cell for hammertackers.
