This study is intended to increase the understanding of the impact of knowledge on Recycling levels. The investigation will furthermore look for other factors in the inquiry that influence the Recycling level. I?m also going to try and develop a model for what influences the Recycling level according to the basis of the investigation..

In 1994 the EU directive of packaging waste was adopted. The result was that all EU member states developed different systems to manage packaging waste and Recycling. This paper examines the various systems and the factors that affect the level of Recycling. This is done by a cross-sectional study between countries. The results of my study suggest that take-back system generates less Recycling than other systems, the mandatory deposit system can affect the Recycling in a positive way.

Vinster med återvinning, Stena Recycling

This project operate an environmental assessment of total waste was conducted by using a life cycle assessment (LCA), that examines the environmental benefits of Recycling production waste from Atlas Copco at Stena Recycling. Atlas Copco is a company engaged in the development and production of rig-mounted hydraulic breakers and handheld air breakers and handheld motorized rotisserie. Stena Recycling is a Recycling company engaged in Recycling, processing and refining of metals, paper, electronics waste and hazardous waste. The purpose of this study is to focus on Stena customer Atlas Copco and evaluate environmental benefits between to recycle and not to do it. The result shows that the total energy gain, resulting from the Recycling of waste fractions, lands at 6 990 089 MJ, corresponding to drive 3 times around the Equator with a truck (40 t). The result shows that Recycling 3040 kg paper provides an energy gain of (38 600 MJ) compared with burning paper (19 500 MJ) is 19 100 MJ, which corresponds to heat a house for 11 weeks.

People of the modern world consume more than they ever used to do. Because of the close correlation between consumption and the amount of waste, the waste volume is also expected to increase. The purpose of this study is to examine if some measures in the Recycling process from Sweden could be implemented in Indonesia. In fact, Indonesia is one of the countries in which the waste management system is struggling. Tetra Pak, one of the world leading producer of food packaging, is studied in this report.

Communicative Recycling, to repeat utterances uttered by oneself or others, is a common phenomenon in all societies and languages. The talk of persons with autism often features Recycling. The aim of this study was to identify different forms of Recycling in communication involving a boy with autism and to describe its functions. Communication between the boy with autism, who used Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to communicate, and his parents and teachers was videotaped. The conversations took place in familiar settings, in the boy?s home and at his pre-school.

Återvinningsstationer på Lidingö : attityder och lokalisering

When the producers? responsibility for packaging was introduced in Sweden in 1994 the industry set up public Recycling stations to facilitate the collection of the waste material. In order to establish Recycling stations at suitable locations the municipalities assist the industry?s service organization for operation of the Recycling stations, the Package and Newspaper Collection Service (Förpacknings- och tidningsinsamlingen, FTI). The objectives of this thesis are to improve the service of the public Recycling stations within Lidingö town and to increase the accessibility to these stations for the inhabitants of Lidingö.

This thesis reports on a case study of a forest company, Stora Enso, and their experience from a number of trials and experiments with ash Recycling. A literature survey and a total of eleven in-depth interviews were carried out. Ash Recycling was found to be the concern of three different divisions of the company. The pulp industry which produces the ash, the forest division which would be responsible for identifying land and spreading the ash, and Stora Research, which has had a major part in the design and implementation of research trials. Lacking an overall company decision on ash Recycling the matter is left to the individual divisions.

This thesis means to find out how preschool teachers are working to demonstrate the importance of Recycling and reuse for children. My hope is to contribute knowledge about various practical methods to establish the idea of sustainable development in the operation. I have used the method of qualitative research and done semi-structured interviews with preschool teachers on certified green flag preschools. The questions I have asked for example concerned how the preschool teachers have worked with Recycling and reuse, how much the children have been able to influence and if other didactic subjects are implicated. Six interviews were made and these are summarized in the result part.

RA Detect - Antikollisionsskydd förlantbrukssektorn

SecRePac is a household appliance that simplifies sorting of packaging such as milk, juice and yogurt containers. By shredding the packages SecRePac reduces its volume uptake both in the home and at the Recycling station. This leads to minimization of both transports to the Recycling stations and truck transport for emptying the containers at the Recycling station. The greenhouse effect deteriorates and becomes worse and worse leading to extreme climate changes and natural disasters such as floods as an example. Carbon dioxide emissions are the major reason for this and at least 30 percent of all these emissions come directly from transports. In the EU carbon emissions has decreased in the past few years.

Erfarenhetsåterföring : Diskussionsforum ett nytt verktyg för erfarenhetsåterföringen

AbstractThis is a bachelor?s thesis within the program society development on the collage Mälardalenshögskola. The subject that will be handled is knowledge Recycling, this intervenes very wellwith the program I am undergoing, and this is because Construction Company?s does ingeneral do the same mistakes over and over again. In the long run this will mean higher endprices for the end user.

The waste fractions offered to households in Sweden differ depending on where you live. The responsibility for the waste are grounded by the Swedish law where the municipality are responsible for the collection of household waste and FTI are responsible for collecting all packages and papers that the households sorts out. A new waste regulation is under consideration where the responsibility for the household waste may change. The bulky waste from households is collected at Recycling centers where the households leave it in different containers for different fractions. These Recycling centers are formed different and the fractions offered in them also differ depending on in what municipality they are located.

With a growing population on earth the amount of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and other scrap steel increases. The European Directive 2000/53/CE? requires a minimum of 95 % reuse and recovery and 85 % re-use and Recycling no later than 1 January 2015, for end-of life vehicles. This imposes a need for more efficient Recycling and recovery. Despite this shredder residue (SR) is commonly land filled. This report investigated the magnetic fines residue generated at Stena Metall shredder facility in Halmstad, Sweden.

In Sweden, responsibility for the collection and Recycling of packaging and newspapers lies with the producers. Therefore, the major producers created a jointcollection with 5800 Recycling stations. The stations are the responsibility of a coordinating body, Förpacknings och Tidningsinsamlingen (FTI) which ensures Government regulations are adhered to by the producers. In 2006, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) carried out an evaluation of the collection of packaging and newspapers. EPA´s research showedthat 80 percent of households were satisfied with the collection but that there were also shortcomings, including problems with littering at the Recycling stations. We have tried to approach the litter issue from different angles in order to suggestpossible measures to reduce the problem. An important aspect proved to be uncertainties regarding the concept of operators. As there are currently many parties involved in the collection process this lead to the issue of who is legally considered as the operator of the Recycling stations.
