Projects are often spoken of in the terms of rational systems. However, some researchers point out the relevance of viewing Projects as sets of relationships. Little is published about what aspects of relationships that are important for the managing of Projects. We have argued for the necessity of such research. With previous research, our case study and interviews we indentified communication, responsibility, cooperation, togetherness and trust as important relational aspects in Projects.The overall perceived success for Projects in this case, was increased with the adoption of new agile methods.

The aim of my study is to critically analyse the discourse behind two different integration Projects in Sweden, by using post colonial theory. My hypothesis is that many Projects intended for increased integration includes a view of immigrants as the ?Others? which can be seen in how one talks about integration and culture in the discourse behind integration Projects.The first of these two Projects aims at increased diversity in the cultural sphere, organized on at state level. The purpose of the second project is to increase the communication and results for schools in areas with a high rate of immigrants in Malmö. In my study I make a discourse analysis of the discourse behind these two Projects and study how they are motivated and how one conceptualise culture and integration in these documents.

This study has been made on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration to study the work of the department National Projects. The Swedish construction industry has for many years been characterized by low productivity. By being the largest purchaser of contracts in the industry the Swedish Transport Administration has a unique opportunity to influence the productivity. In order to improve in productivity The Swedish Transport Administration is adopting a new role in which they will order more turnkey Projects. In our study, we will focus on how one department within the Swedish Transport Administration, National Projects, can perform successful turnkey Projects.To clarify how the department National Projects can perform successful Projects, this study identifies critical factors for Projects and their links to different phases of the project.

How Projects are managed can have a big impact on the project`s result. There are different types of frameworks on the market whose purpose is to help project leaders to pursue a successful project. Those frameworks focus on larger product development Projects and both the literature and companies have addressed that the frameworks are too comprehensive for smaller product development Projects. They have therefore asked for a framework that is more suitable for those smaller Projects. To complete a project on time and to the planned cost is important in both larger and smaller product development Projects.

The purpose of this paper is to get a conception how prioritization and decision making works in technologically advanced companies. We wanted to understand how to administrate models and how to prioritize the best ideas and relate these to technologically advanced companies. How does the company make these decisions and who is responsible?We have chosen to observe TranSiC, a Swedish technologically advanced company that manufacture silicon carbide transistors. They currently have nine employees and mange 10-20 Projects simultaneously, but are aiming to expand their business.

The management at the City of Stockholm?s Sports Department have problems. During recent years several IT-Projects have been launched but results are worse than could have been hoped for. The Projects are generally perceived as being too expensive, too time consuming and not to have delivered the expected results. This thesis aims at giving the City of Stockholm?s Sports Department theoretically based advice on how to improve their management of IT-Projects.

Today there is an even higher demand on IT-Projects success rate compared to a few years ago. IT-Projects must be handled more efficiently and result in a more profitable investment. In order to make the handling of IT-Projects more efficient and create profitability the developers must have a broad understanding of the IT-Projects characteristics and which factors that affect the result of the Projects. Changes within IT-Projects are often carried out through the development of a system. Since this change is more common when it comes to IT-Projects it is important to handle risk and change within these kinds of Projects in order to prevent and avoid uncontrolled changes.

If costs are too high the new system might not be installed in the organization or if the system is not completed within the specified time frame the organization can become stagnant.In this paper we conduct an investigation of the failure of IT Projects there we will examine where, in the systems development lifecycle four different phases, Projects fail. We will conduct an empirical study of each phase, where we describe the key steps in the process; we will also investigate failed IT Projects that are linked to the current phase.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to investigate why and how Projects with children participating in selecting media at children s sections are made and how the Projects effect the collections and the usage of these collections. We have studied literature dealing with how the selection at children s sections traditionally are made, how children participate in society and the question of quality. We have also made a survey to find out whether it is common to do Projects like this in Sweden. In addition to this we have studied the discussion of patrons participating in library activities, having found mostly Danish material. Our study deals with five Danish Projects, the reports of which we have read, and five Swedish Projects, whose responsible librarians and assistants we have interviewed.

The aim of this study is to examine how and in what way users of the public participate and affect the archival information that is to be preserved for the future through the examination of three archival Projects involving public participation. The study seeks to examine if participation of the public could lead to increased democracy and diversity of information in the archives. The study will be performed through the examination of three participatory archives all tied to traditional archival institutions.The study is based on the theoretical framework of Benn and Gaus and their notions of public and private which they discuss using the key words access, agency and interest. The study also takes into consideration Laura Millar?s theories of social memory as a means for the public good.

The aim of this Master´s thesis is to explore how public libraries in a successful way can work in Projects with young people. It intends to point out different factors that in a legible way affect the accomplishment and outcome of the project. Another purpose of the study is to uncover the various approaches existing within the Projects towards young people and to find out why it is seen as important to work with youngsters, considering the hard work that it requires and the reluctance of the young to visit the library. The examination is based upon eight different and fulfilled Projects. Information about these has been received through project descriptions, project reports and documents describing applications for economical benefits.

Course: Master's Thesis in Business AdministrationPurpose: The purpose with this paper is to give an insight, and to compare, the project management of two IT-Projects ? one which product was implemented and put into use, and one, which was implemented but no longer exists on the market. Furthermore also examine the critical success factors that influence the success respectively the failure of the IT-Projects. Method: To attain the purpose with our study we have chosen a qualitative method. We have carried out interviews with two of the project managers of the IT-project of the two large companies.Result: A couple of problems occurred within the IT-Projects of the large companies.

The purpose of this master thesis is to examine how librarians/cultural workers act in Projects in order to stimulate and promote reading among children and youth in sparsely populated regions in the county of Jämtland during a period of three years, and if/how these Projects differ. The examination is based upon the progress of these Projects in four of eight communities. Four librarians and two cultural workers have been interviewed in order to get their view of the proceedings of the Projects. The results indicate that the four communities all made up plans for three years but in different ways. They mainly collaborated with the school but also with the board of children's health and the preparatory school.

Today many industrial companies invest a lot of resources on research and development to resist the tough competition on the global market. This leads to a high risk game when the companies start many development Projects, with uncertain outcome where some of the Projects have to be terminated prematurely. The main purpose with this study is to identify factors, both internal and external, that influence the decision to terminate Projects prematurely in Swedish development Projects. Factors mentioned in the literature will be compared with case studies on three Swedish industrial companies to demonstrate the most important ones when taking such decisions. First a literature study was made to identify basic terms, a general project model and factors affecting the decision.
