In recent years, several problems in the field of assistive device have been lifted. To manage the development Beslutsstöd (Decision support) has emerged as a systematic working method. Beslutsstöd is designed as a guideline and serves as a tool for physical therapists and occupational therapists in the prescription process of assistive devices. Beslutsstöd thereby aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of the Prescribing process of assistive device in the organization of the municipalities. An implementation evaluation about how the implementation of Beslutsstöd in the municipalities did proceed has not been done.

Background: In 1994 came the general prescription law in force for the district nurses with specific training in pharmacology and pathology in Sweden. According to The National Board of Health and Welfare from 2004 follow-up of the use of the prescription law revealed that nearly half of the district nurses used their prescription once a week. According to previous research the district nurses and patients were positive to the district nurses administration of prescriptions. Doctors, contrariwise, were not as favorable to the district nurses administration of prescriptions. The responsibility of the heads of the health centers is to promote the district nurses to prescribe and make sure that it works in a satisfactory manner.

Our purpose with this essay was to make a comparative study of the methadone programme in Sweden versus Denmark. We wanted to examine the issue by illustrating the historical and recent development of the drug political policy and the growth of the methadone programme in both countries.We chose to work with the following questions:1. SAMMANFATTNING Syfte: Att med kvantitativa metoder försöka finna faktorer som kan förklara skillnaderna i mängd antibiotikaförskrivning mellan tandläkare i Skåne och Västerbotten i Sverige. Metod: I denna utredande demografiska studie, gjordes en initial sökning i databasen Pubmed för att finna kvantitativa faktorer som påverkar tandläkares antibiotikaförskrivning. Statistiska uppgifter hämtades sedan från olika svenska register och tolkades för resultatet. Resultat: Ingen enskild faktor som undersöktes kunde förklara den högre förskrivningen av antibiotika som ses i Skåne. Resultaten stödjer hypotesen att det inte finns någon kvantitativ faktor som kan förklara Skånes förskrivning av antibiotika. Slutsats: Skillnader i mängd ordinerad antibiotika mellan de två regionerna i Sverige kunde inte förklaras genom att undersöka de kvantitativa faktorerna som använts i denna studie. It is a well-known fact that textiles and carpets have benign sound-absorbing properties. It is desirable to have quantified values of these properties ? especially for architects and interior designers. They often need to be able to giveaccount for the acoustic properties of their designs at a relatively early stage and sometimes have strict acoustic classifications imposed upon them by their contractor. A product with documented acoustic properties would aid when Prescribing interior elements.The purpose of this thesis is to develop a wall-mounted panel in hand-tufted material ? aesthetically pleasing and versatile but also having documented and quantified acoustic properties.

The aim was to study the factors that contributed to the prescription of physical activity on prescription (PaP) by the professions in primary healthcare. A qualitative method was used in the study. The sample consisted of six participants; two doctors, two physiotherapists and two district nurses in primary healthcare in Uppsala County. The data were collected with semi-structured interviews and were analyzed with a thematic approach. The results show a great variety in which type of patient that receive PaP, however people with lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity are often more represented.

Too many dogs are euthanized because of different kind of behaviour problems today. Is it really necessary? Who has the main responsibility for this action? Do breed differences matter when it comes to increased risk of euthanasia of the dog? The purpose of this piece of work is to find the answers to these questions and also to find out what kind of behaviour problems that can lead to euthanasia of dogs in general. The most common reason for dogs being euthanized is aggression. The aggression can be directed toward humans or other animals, mostly other dogs. There are some important factors of the dog that increases the risk of being euthanized, and these are the breed, the gender and sexual status and also the size of the dog.

The prehospital management of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI)now includes 12-lead electrocardiogram transmission directly from the ambulance to hospital.If the ECG shows ST-elevated myocardial infarction the patient should be transported directlyto a hospital with capability for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).                                               Aim: The aim of this study was to describe how ambulance nurses experienced the prehospital management of patients with AMI who are transported by ambulance directly to hospital for PCI.                                                Method: Semi structured interviews were conducted with eight ambulance nurses. Data were analysed using qualitative content analysis. The categories that emerged were: Use ofcompetence, Responsibility and Insufficiency. Result: The result showed that the ambulance nurses felt secure when they cared for patients transported directly to PCI. The nurses assessed the patient and decided how he or she should be cared for.

Bakgrund: Distriktssköterskor har i Sverige haft förskrivningsrätt sedan mitten av 1990-talet. Anledningen från början var att underlätta för läkarna, framför allt på landsbygden där läkartätheten var låg. Socialstyrelsen genomförde år 2000 en uppföljning av hur förskrivningsrätten användes. Författarna ville se om och/eller hur förskrivningen har förändrats samt hur förskrivningen ser ut i Sverige jämfört med andra länder. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva distriktssköterskans erfarenheter av att förskriva läkemedel i hemsjukvården samt deras uppfattning om förskrivningsrättens framtida utveckling inom distriktssköterskeproffessionen.

Socialstyrelsens uppföljning av sjuksköterskans förskrivningsrätt 2004 indikerade att förskrivningsrätten användes i liten utsträckning. I tidigare forskning framkommer såväl möjligheter som hinder kring förskrivningsrätten. Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka hur distriktssköterskan på vårdcentral använder sin förskrivningsrätt.
